9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great location, nicely decorated in Empire style with Napoleon memorabilia and references to famous French writers who stayed there. I liked the French antique style.
Cons: Nothing.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location. Free parking. Good wi-fi. Friendly staff Great bathroom. Robe and slippers.
Cons: The wallpaper makes the room somewhat oppressive. Breakfast ought to be included in the price.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was my best ever buffet
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I love this hotel! It was so fun, great, varied breakfast, super friendly staff, wonderful rooms!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The room was really large though cosy and very clean The bed was terrific!
9,2 Excellent
Pros: I usually stop here after a long drive from somewhere far in the French countryside before the morning flight from either Orly or Charles-de-Gaule. Both are at a handy distance with little risk of traffic. This allows me to avoid Paris and it’s hectic attitudes. But Fontainebleau and it’s environs really deserve a longer stay, and the Aegle Noir is an ideal option. And yes, they will pay your parking at the closest underground lot just outside their doors!
Cons: Dear, but it’s worth it.
7,9 Good
Pros: The breakfast is great with large international food selection, the bathroom is refurbished and clean. Bed comfortable. Location is the best and building is impressive.
Cons: Our room on 3rd floor was disappointing, the wall showed large patches of mould at various places, the carpet and furniture is very worn out. For the size of the room there is very minimal furniture, there is not even a mirror in the room apart from the bathroom. The room was warm to our liking. The temperature control didn't seem to work, set it on the lowest temperature and still blew warm air. The shower's tap temperature control didn't work properly, so we took showers in luke warm water.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Loved this little hotel. Great service and comfortable night stay .
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent all round easy access, and car parking
Cons: Breakfast is expensive at 22euro each.

Pros: Excellent breakfast but a little pricey.
Cons: .
9,7 Excellent
Pros: the location was amazing, staff was very friendly and helpful and the view from my window was delightful (side of fontainbleau chateau)
Cons: it was three flights of stairs, so an elevator would have made life easier! but that was my only complaint as a very tired tourist.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: An excellent hotel.Everyone couldn’t be more helpful.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast excellent, staff always friendly and helpful, room comfortable.
Cons: Could have more explicit instructions on how to use safe (husband couldn't work them out). Would have been nice (though not essential) to have shampoo/conditioner samples.
9,6 Excellent

Overview Reviews
Located 47 miles (75 km) from Paris and a stone's throw from Fontainebleau castle, the hotel welcomes you to its beautiful building surrounded by a lush garden, ideal for family vacations or business meetings. Want to relax? You will love the tranquility of the comfortable rooms, but also our proximity to the famous Fontainebleau forest for long walks.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Smiley receptionist all day and night... seems like in my home with family
Cons: The sheets not very clean .. there were some stains
6,3 Good
Pros: The staff were very friendly
Cons: The bed was very uncomfortable.
5,8 Okay
Pros: Convenient location to access the main business areas of Fontainebleau. The hotel is quite.
Cons: Power outage late in the evening (surprisingly - no excuses/apologies from the hotel staff). This can happen but this was not really nice to stay in the dark without any further explanation or information. Can do better for the breakfast: Bread and pastries are good but the rest is really below average for the hotel pricing.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Cleanliness, size of room, location
Cons: None
7,0 Good
Pros: It was adequate for the money
Cons: The lighting in the room was a little dim and the heat in the room was far too hot, even with the window wide open.
3,0 Mediocre
Pros: The best about this hotel is the excellent location next to a key biodiversity area. The forest of Fontainebleau are a real treasure!!! In addition, the hotel staff was really friendly, very attentive and provided us with all the information needed.
Cons: The environmental efforts of the Accor group Planet 21 are not sufficient! No transparent information about CO2 emissions of the hotel. No mission and vision for obtaining an eco-label in the near future. No information in the hotel room about the nature reserve and endangered animals. No option for the guest to compensate CO2 emissions on a voluntary basis! Very little vegan options during breakfast (why not trying seaweed bacon instead of killing animals) and metal coffee capsules instead of just normal coffee beans. From a high-end class hotel, I was definitely expecting more. With millions of people marching against climate change and biodiversity loss, I thought Accor group would be attentive to the needs of our planet. However, I was mistaken. Without, a stricter environmental programme and transparent information on the footprint of the Accor Group, I regret to inform you that I can‘t stay at your hotels anymore.

Pros: We were given a better room at ground level. Breakfast is lovely. Good secure parking
Cons: WiFi reception is dodgy, then again you are surrounded by huge forest...
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The location was very good - a short walk into the centre of Fontainebleau. They were happy for us to leave the car in their car park for a couple of hours after we checked out, which was very helpful.
Cons: The breakfast room was very busy - it was hard to get to anything.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: It was great to be near the castle but as I was on foot it was far from the train station. I wish there was some public transportation.
6,7 Good
Cons: Climbing the stairs with luggage without any help
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Location- and the view over the lovely gardens at the back
Cons: We were on the 3rd floor - without a lift!
4,2 Okay
Pros: In Town, 10 mins from centre
Cons: Booked a 'superior' room; it was very inadequate and needed various items of maintenance.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The staff at Hotel Victoria are really helpful and friendly, the location is very good
Cons: Because the rooms were fully booked and we have requested a double room, we got a room with windows directly on the main road which wasn’t bad but we would have preferred a room on the other side. Also, we were a bit bothered by the sheets; we got itchy and started coughing.

Pros: Good location for walking around Fontainebleau. Near to multiple parking places. Lots of nearby shops, restuarants and bars
Cons: Check in was a nightmare, staff seemed to have no idea what was going on. Mirror in room stuffed at back of wardrobe as it had come off the wardrobe outer door. Cracks in the walls and ceiling. Floor dirty, had been wiped but left a sticky residue. No safe in the room so always took valuables out with me. I have been double charged for my stay and after a week of booking.com dealing with the property im still no closer to getting my €230 refunded.

Pros: I loved the position of the property
Cons: The breakfast could have been better. We had to make our own coffee from a machine - it was ok but the cups were small and we were constantly having to turn on the machine. 10,0 Excellent
Pros: The owner was away on holiday but a friend looked after us and he was polite, friendly and was very helpful in settling us in the the B & B.
Cons: nothing could have been improved.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The property we booked was closed (owner away) but alternative offered upon arrival 'Domaine de Barbizon' was far better. Beautiful old manor with stables and large well kept gardens. 1.5km from Barbizon village. Breakfast was good and woke to see a horse grazing in the garden.
Cons: Scented candles at breakfast unnecessary. No evening meal service but easy to drive or walk to several excellent restaurants in Barbizon. Otherwise an amazing and special place - highly recommended.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The B&B was very chic and the aesthetics were lovely. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. We found the hostess was welcoming and the breakfast was amazingly good. There were excellent details and high end touches and the food was wonderfully presented.. The local area, as many will know is famous for its school of painters and therefore the village has a number of artisan shops and a good selection of restaurants. There are super walks in the forest nearby.
Cons: This may be a bit picky there wasn’t tea/coffee making facilities in the room. There was a lounge/dinning area which appeared open to guests, though this wasn’t made clear. Also we were unsure if the kitchen was where refreshments could be prepared as a guest. However, there overall experience wasn’t spoilt by this and we will return again.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Easy to find good location very friendly
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Owners are nice and facilities are comfortable. Breakfast were very delicious.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We were made very welcome. The breakfast was a veritable feast and beautifully presented. We had the suite up in the eaves, long, spacious and beautifully furnished
Cons: Everything was pefect.
7,9 Good
Pros: The best breakfast I’ve ever had anywhere. The table looked beautiful, the omelette was light and fluffy and the coffee great. The hostess also made us feel very welcome.
Cons: The mattress probably needs replacing as my husband and I both kept rolling into the middle of the bed! Need an extractor fan in the bathroom as the whole bedroom became steamed up with condensation on all the windows.
