This is my go to hotel when I visit Bangkok. The staff are always helpful, the rooms, while basic, are always clean in my experience. Location is great, far enough from the noise of Khaosan, close to the express boat.

Pros (+) Great location close to khaoson rd. Across the street from bus lines. Friendly and helpful staff. Hip music, good food. Room was basic but clean and had nice touches like bottled water.
