The staff were friendly , approachable and very helpful . The room was amazing with a beautiful view of the gardens very comfortable bed and nice and warm, clean and quiet . Spent 3 nights for my 40th birthday had the time of my life the best castle I have stayed in yet ... The restaurant was amazing the atmosphere and the food was excellent cooked to perfection
Bedroom was light and the bed was comfortable.
Inedible food at dinner and breakfast. The worst we have had not only in Ireland but anywhere we have traveled in the world.
Staff very friendly. Cosy with open fires . Loved the placid "house dog " food was fresh and well presented. It had the feel of a castle .
The restaurant was first class in every way.
I made the booking for my parents and the staff at the Castle were very helpful in making arrangements over the phone. My parents had a lovely time. They thought the room was lovely and the staff really friendly (even though they had lost the printed voucher for dinner, the staff took great care of them). They had a meal in a local pub (Recommended by the staff) one nigh,t and dinner in the castle's superb restaurant the other and loved both experiences. They did the castle tour and found it very interesting. All in all a very enjoyable trip to celebrate a 75th birthday.
My mother was bemused by the fact that there was tea everywhere (including the rooms) and no coffee (except if you ask) - the women is clearly not Irish!
