Hôtel Saint-Marc - Paris - Building
1
9,4 Excellent (754 reviews)
R4 109+
Overview Reviews
In the heart of Paris, just steps away from the Opera House, the Louvre, theatres, boutiques and galleries, Hôtel Saint-Marc offers an ultra-chic paradise where luxury, design and discretion come together. Seduced by the elegant and festive history of this secret 18th-century hôtel particulier that is considered a piece of French heritage, and inspired by a passion for Parisian culture, we dreamed of a place where spirit and beauty come together with meaning and refinement. We entrusted the full decoration of the Hotel to Ditmore Studio. To join together the flesh of History and the breath of our time. By combining vintage furniture with tailor-made creations, items found at flea markets with signed objects. Hôtel Saint-Marc has 26 rooms, including one suite. They are designed as private apartments, as luxurious and comfortable as they are intimate and Parisian. They come in six different decors, characterized by six main colors: sky blue, petrol green, pink, burgundy red, mustard yellow and pine green, which give each of them a unique and resolutely aesthetic dimension.

Pros: Exceptional hotel! Absolutely loved it, from the room to the spa, everything was absolutely amazing. Would stay there again 100%.
Cons: Nothing, honestly it was so nice.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Modern facilities and super friendly staff.
8,3 Excellent
Cons: The room was small
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was extremely well designed and the staff were exceedingly helpful and friendly. I chose the hotel based on the previous reviews and, if anything, it was better than I had anticipated. The hotel is in an excellent location with lovely bars, cafes and restaurants and is very conveniently located (15 minutes from the louvre). I would recommend a stay here and will hopefully be returning soon! Huge thank you to Vincent and Bertrand in particular who were extremely accommodating and helpful.
Cons: Wished we could have stayed longer.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Room was perfect for our needs. Staff was very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our time in the spa. Convenient location to all the activities we had on our list. Lots of restaurants in the area.
Cons: Obviously not the Hotel's fault but would have liked to have been aware of the office building being directly constructed across the street. We are on the second floor so we didn't need an alarm clock! I've stayed at a hotel with this situation before and were offered compensation up front for the inconvenience (complimentary breakfast, small discount on room) but not this time.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel building and rooms. The courtyard is gorgeous. The staff are the best I’ve ever experienced - truly!
Cons: The only downside is that it would have been nice for the spa pool to be warm. It otherwise it was just lovely
9,6 Excellent
Cons: The first floor isn’t recommended but other than that the hotel is perfect for the price
Overview Reviews
When Charm & More decided to create a hotel of discreet luxury with top-end amenities and service, all in a chic, relaxed atmosphere, they brought together the talents that could turn that dream to reality: Jean-Michel Wilmotte for the design, Bruno Doucet for the restaurant and a team from the luxury hospitality industry for the services.Whether it’s in one of our 33 rooms or suite, settled in at the restaurant or lounging under the bar’s glass roof, the Hôtel de Nell welcomes you in style, with intimate spaces trimmed in exclusive décor with the sole objective of enhancing your well-being.The Hôtel de Nell is much more than comfort. It’s a state of being.

Pros: We were upgraded to one of the nicest rooms I have ever stayed in
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing hotel with big comfortable rooms. Great location and service. My stay there was perfect.
7,5 Good
Pros: Amazing staff and evening turndown service. Everyone was very helpful
Cons: The food at the hotel restaurant was very good but expensive with many hidden charges for bread, service etc...
9,6 Excellent
Pros: It’s personal - only 33 rooms and you don’t get the feeling that you’re lost in a huge building. And I loved having a small, intimate restaurant with excellent food and an enormous wine list. I ate there my last night and when I come back I’m inclined to eat there because being a solo traveler it’s so easy. And the staff are superb. I had one small problem with a staff member and it was addressed immediately.

Pros: The staff was outstanding!

9,6 Excellent
Pros: We have stayed here before, because it is in the perfect location in 6e. The staff are absolutely lovely and always helpful. The rooms are small but lovely and spotlessly clean. The beds are extra comfy. It was our anniversary, and they couldn’t have been kinder. We will be back very soon.
Cons: The bar is great in the early evening but doesn’t open late. I would hope to come back from dinner and have a night cap. No matter, there are lots of good bars nearby to go to.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The attention was overwhelming. They helped celebrate my grandson’s birthday with so many wonderful treats! From the time you approached the front desk to arranging dinner reservations we were never disappointed!
4,6 Okay
Pros: the best part of the hotel is the location and its good breakfast
Cons: When i arrived at night on a prepaid reservation the reception staff tried to send me to another hotel nearby claiming the room had suffered damage and was unavailable. After a full day of travelling and not having received an advance notice of the "event" I suspected this was a trick used by an overçbooked hotel. I demanded to see the damages and this the supposed manager was unable to show me, so after a little voice raisingf on my part all of the sudden the room became available. I left that the hotel reception made to lie to me their paying customer . Two more managers emerged and during my short saty the hotel personel made me feel as if they had made me and my wife a favor by letting us stay in the hotel for which I had PREPAID my stay. I can only imagine if my reservation was not prepaid I would have been in the street looking for a hotel room

Pros: This is a lovely small hotel in an excellent location with an outstanding staff. As another reviewer noted, Giorgio at the front desk is polite and cheerful, in a quiet sort of way, and very helpful and attentive. This hotel Our only complaint is that is a top choice for someone wanting to spend several days exploring - - either on foot, by Metro, or by car - - the sights of Paris.
Cons: Our only complaint is that the housekeeping staff had to be asked to replenish bath soap and shower gel.

Pros: Nice high standard hotel in a very central location. Clean and comfy room. Very good breakfast with a lot to choose from. Friendly staff that help you with all kinds of questions. I would say very good value for money all over.
Cons: I have no real negatives. I don't understand the idea of having frosted glass door to the toilet, making it a bit see through. But this seems to be a feature of many hotels here, I have noticed. This is more an observation, not a real complaint :)

8,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is centrally located, walking distance to the Lyon train station is a big plus, the hotel in general is very clean and the decoration is charming. The front desk staff is very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The bed is very comfortable and the room size for 3 persons is good. The amenities in the room are great: Nespresso coffee maker, water, small fridge, and the toiletries are of good quality.
Cons: The only thing we did not like at all is that the restroom door is made out of glass and is pretty see through!! There is no privacy!! We had to place a towel on the door railing for privacy and my son even turned off the light when he was taking a shower!! I recommend that a curtain is put in place to cover the glass door!! Specially when the door is in a diagonal position facing the bed. I was laying down in bed and could see my son's silhouette in the restroom!! This alone would keep me from staying at this hotel again.

Pros: The staff over-all was AMAZING! The front desk, concierge, bar and restaurant service was awesome!
Cons: Things move very slow and you should not expect to receive quick service. If you ask for a drink or cup of coffee, be prepared to wait. This is just how it is in France. I would not take this as a negative, they move slow.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Perfect Location. Lovely atmosphere in the hotel.
Cons: I find it ridiculous to pay for extra’s at breakfast. It’s the 3rd time we stay at your hotel and we really love it, but is you pay €35 pp for breakfast and you have to pay an extra €8-€10 for an omelet or some pancakes this really doesn’t suit the service-level of your hotel to my opinion. This is also new to us, the times we stayed in your hotel before, this wasn’t an issue. The rest of our stay was perfect !

Requested a cot, and they brought everything we could have needed- baby bath, diaper genie, even a teddy bear! Very impressed. Concierge and lobby staff so helpful and spoke English really well. Large king bed, rooms spacious and very clean. Bar was just lovely too. The best service I’ve ever received when staying at a hotel!
Cons: Not much else other than Bercy Village to see in the area. Bercy Park was nothing to rave about.

5,0 Okay
Pros: The location, staff and the overall cleanliness of the hotel was perfect.
Cons: This hotel is very nice but not a 5 star hotel. i just left one in another city was completely let down. The only things similar to a 5 star hotel was the overpriced mini bar and having an overly expensive breakfast. 4 Stars would be more like it.

Pros: None of that. Breakfast needed coffe serving and plates on the buffet spread .People were looking arounb for both.

Pros: Rooms were good size. Location was great - next to metro station with multiple lines. Beds comfortable, good amenities.
Cons: No informed concierge. No one on the staff could even tell us where Sainte-Chapelle was or whether we could visit the Catacombs without prepurchased tickets. Both basic tourist questions.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was helpful, comfortable bed, close to a metra station and EuroStar, I would definitely stay here again.
Cons: I didn't like the wooded sculpture in the entrance of the bedroom door, it was lighted which was good but can be a hazard especially at night if you have to go to the lavatory.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful Hotel, great staff, convenient central location
Cons: It was hot when we were there and the A/C could not cool the room as we would have liked.

Pros: Location, very cozy and high quality bedding and appointments, super helpful staff.

7,1 Good
Pros: We stayed in the hotel for 3 days and our experience is controversial. Perfect location of the boutique hotel and good accessibility to subway and Eifel tower.

Pros: Near the Eiffel Tower. Very friendly and helpful staff!
Cons: Nothing.
1,0 Poor
Pros: Nothing. Avoid!
Cons: It is a piece of crap hotel. The rooms are very small and dirty. The staff is also rude. This place is definitely overrated. They also do not disclose what they will or will not charge for. Definitely avoid and go for a standard hotel. 1 star hotel.

Pros: Location suited us perfectly as we were going to a festival nearby but a bit Of journey into central Paris - easy enough on the metro through. Rare to get good size rooms in Paris. Even rarer to get not one but two amazing pools. Plenty of space, nice vibes and great staff.
Cons: The food we ordered whether on the roof or in the cafe took FOREVER to arrive!! This put us off eating at the hotel. The breakfast however was fantastic - superb choice and quality.

Pros: Very comfortable. Good breakfast and dinner.
5,4 Okay
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: They charge me €50 per room for checking in early . Suites small.
6,7 Good
Pros: Staff were polite and hotel was clean and quiet.
Cons: Only two check in clerks in the eve with numerous guests checking in. Only 2 ice makers in the hotel both of which were not accessible to us on our floor and wing location.
6,0 Good
Pros: The beds were great and the staff were helpful
Cons: Our bathroom smelled like sewage. We had two rooms and the balcony door on the one would close. Our issue was it was a shared balcony with another room. So after calling for assistance and nothing be resolved, we had to jimmy the door ourselves and make sure we ran the shower alot to keep the smell down.
7,1 Good
Pros: 10 mins from the airport with a shuttle bus service was convenient. The staff were extremely helpful and the room and bathroom were extremely clean.
Cons: Bath plug did not work so only shower available and broken curtains did not meet in the middle.
7,9 Good
Pros: I liked the spacious room and the park right by the hotel where I could take my dog on a nice walk.
Cons: The staff when we arrived (20:00) were not very helpful. The security guard did not seem to know how to instruct people to park their car. The staff inside at the concierge desk did not guide us to the reception desk and just let me stand there in front of them for 15 minutes while helping airline staff check in. I finally asked them if I was supposed to check in there and they pointed out another desk to go to. There was also no information in the room about the hotel and the hotel facilities.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Had an amazing time :))) and experience :)) great staff. I had to give a good for location only reason because it is not in city but!!!!! Shuttle leaves Hotel like every 45 min to train station literally 20 min from Main City I would do it all over again with Relais Hotel ! Beds were super comfortable!!! Amazing rooms, clean, pool and facilities amazing!!!!!! Free water in rooms :)))))) shower and bathroom really good!
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Location was great for staying near the airport prior to an early flight. The shuttle to and from CDG made it easy. The hotel was very comfortable.
Cons: It seemed a bit odd to be charged an extra damage deposit (150 euros) at check-in. It was refunded within a couple of days after checkout but took five more days for my credit card to remove it.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Clean, nice staff, great facilities including a fantastic spa
9,2 Excellent
Pros: This hotel was a 10-15 minute free shuttle ride from the International Airport. The accommodation was so comfortable. The bed was like sleeping in a cloud - so comfortable! They even provided a sleep spray (to spray on the pillow) to assist you in going to sleep. It was such a nice touch, smelled great and enabled us to go off to sleep quite easily. My partner got to have a swim in the pool but we didn't have time to use the spa (which I would have liked to do).
Cons: We only had a short stay as we were staying close to the airport, so we could fly out early the next morning. We thought that the cost of food was high compared to Australian food prices at the same hotel chain (taking into account the exchange rate at the time). The shuttle bus did not leave on time when taking us to the airport as we were delayed by other people who did not arrive on time. The driver did not seem to be too concerned by the delay, but I was concerned as we had an international flight to catch (it all worked out OK though).
8,3 Excellent
Pros: big bed. the room had nice furniture. very nice pool and spa area.
Cons: room shower smelled mouldy.
7,9 Good
Pros: The room was spacious and well fitted. The staff tried hard to please. Bright and pleasant club lounge
Cons: Wet sheets, no hot water and really cheap quality club lounge food offering
