Pros: New car. Good service at the counter
Cons: Tank was only half full at pick up. But the did accept less than full tank upon return.

Very Easy Process!
Pros: This was my first time ever renting a car, so I was a little nervous, but Avis was such a great company to go with! The whole process was very easy, I spent no more than 10 minutes picking up my car and even less time dropping it off in the city I traveled to. Thanks Avis!
Cons: The only issue I had was that my credit card expiration date was entered incorrectly, and I had to call to correct this issue the following week. It took about 20 minutes over the phone to get it resolved but everything else went great!

Came to pick up the car I'd reserved...and told no cars available
Cons: I showed up at the time of my reservation only to be told there was no car available within a 100-mile radius. When I called customer service (the guy at the desk was apologetic, but he could do nothing), the conversation was Kafkaesque. They suggested that I take a taxi to another location with a car two hours away (and two hours farther from my final destination) - as if I had all the time in the world to drive around the country making up for their mistake. (Another couple, that had reserved a car to drive to Boston, was told they could pick up a car in Boston.) They refused to guarantee me a car locally the next morning or offer any financial compensation. As if they were being extremely generous, they did offer to cancel the reservation! Luckily, another local company had a car - but I'm never using Avis again.

Avis didn't respect the price you quoted us.
Pros: Clean car, low miles.
Cons: The day before we picked up the car from Avis I broke my foot and was unable to pick it up myself in person. I sent my business partner over with my credit card to make the pick-up and they would not take it. They proceeded to complete the transaction with his credit card but instead of the $69/day quoted to us, they charged us $112 a day! What a ripoff! I will not use Avis again.

Very Easy Process!
