I got there and they told me they had noncars for me because they ran out of them. So basically he told me to go frog myself and get for a car somewhere else. He was not going to help me. Avis did not have any cars available for anyone at the Austin airport tx location. Told they may have cars in 3-4 hours but probably not what you originally reserved. No way to do business. Went to another onsite rental car company who had available cars for a lower rate.Reviewed Aug 16 2026

Front desk girl was not so friendly. Didn’t give clear instructions no paperwork was given she seemed like she didn’t want to be there. Asked for my drivers license and a card so I gave it to her. Then she gave me a #k6 didn’t know what that meant so I asked what it means she just looks at me like I’m dumb and says that’s where the car is parked…um ok so I went but I didn’t even get paperwork I didn’t sign anything. We booked online with kayak, but when we got to the Avis ticket counter, they said they didn’t honor same day booking site reservations, and refused to provide a car for us. We ended up having to go with budget, which ended up being cheaper anyway.Reviewed Aug 15 2026

We had a very negative experience. We dropped off our car at 5:00 am when they were closed and they are now claiming damage to our vehicle that was not there when we dropped off the car. I would not recommend using this company at all.Reviewed Aug 12 2026
