Pros: It was great to have A.C. during the heat wave, three tv stations in English and very nice breakfast buffet.
Cons: We were not able to arrange late checkout. But they held our bags and have a welcoming lobby with bar.
Pros: Private car park
Cons: Location was not ideal, we have stayed in best western dog friendly hotels on previous occasions who provided dog bed and drinking bowl even treats, this hotel nothing just take an additional charge.
Pros: Lovely room, nicely furnished. Comfortable bed, helpful friendly staff and a good breakfast.
Cons: Limited parking
Pros: Everything -very impressed
Pros: Customer service was A+++. They were always helpful, cheerful, courteous & informative... Rooms were lovely, and location perfect - an easy walk to train station and market, as well as being next to the main street for shopping & boutiques. This was my third stay here, and I intend it to be my destination hotel when I visit again...
Cons: Nothing to dislike...
Pros: The mini bar in the room, the coffee making facilities in the room, breakfast with bacon eggs and tomatoes, car park on site, pleasant person on reception who spoke good English,
Cons: The pillows were too soft We couldn’t find any nice restaurants. Two restaurants that were on the hotels recommendation list had closed down.
Cons: Staff at reception. Pretty rude
Pros: Very good location. Friendly staff, customer oriented.
Pros: Excellent room, nice and large with good views over the square. Breakfast was good, and overall very good value for money.
Located in Villefranche-sur-Saone, Hostellerie La Ferme du Poulet is a 3-minute drive from Musee Paul Dini and 8 minutes from Chateau of Flecheres. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Beautiful building on an industrial estate near motorway....but you wouldn't know it once you were in! Hospitable and welcoming staff. Excellent food.
Cons: Breakfast was far too expensive for what it was. 10 euros overpriced.
Pros: An excellent venue- a real gem hidden in Villfranche. Would definitely stay again
Pros: Very nice period property with lots of character in the public rooms. Welcomed warmly and made to feel comfortable. Not showed to the room but the instructions very clear and the room was easy to find. Nice large bedrooms all amenities first class with comfortable beds so a good nights sleep was had. Excellent restaurant with good quality and nicely presented food served outside under the shade of the trees.
Cons: The range of food at breakfast didn’t match the rest of what this hotel offered, it was overpriced and lacked choice. While the quality was there for what was on offer it lacked things like, fresh fruit, cereals, meats, cheeses and possibility hard boiled eggs. The bread and pastries while very nice were too dainty and petite, large baguette slices would have been nicer.
Pros: Excellent restaurant with lovely shaded outdoor eating area
Cons: Rooms need a little updating to match the reception and dining areas
Pros: Staffwerevery good and provided freezer space foursome of the goodies sewers taking with us. Evening meal was pricey but excellent. Great start to our holiday
Cons: Nothing to dislike.
Pros: The restaurant selection is excellent. Gourmet with elegance. Nothing overdone. Very careful service. Excellent value for money. Great wine selection. The mattress and pillows were extra comfortable.
Cons: the light in the bathroom is weak

Cons: Being locked in until 0650
Hotel The Liberty’s is located in the heart of Villefranche Sur Saone in the Beaujolais region, 34 km from Lyon. It offers en suite rooms with free high-speed WiFi access. Each room is equipped with a fan and a flat-screen TV. The private bathrooms have a shower and free toiletries. Liberty’s serves a daily buffet breakfast and its restaurant serves traditional French cuisine. Guests can try a selection of beers and whiskeys at the on-site Irish pub. The Liberty’s is 350 metres from the SNCF train station and has easy access to the A6 motorway. Lyon Saint-Exupery Airport is 53 km away.
Pros: Lovely little hotel. Very clean, with very effective aircon. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast basic, but more than adequate. Added bonus was being able to have a very good, reasonably priced evening meal as well. Will be staying there again.
Pros: Lovely clean cool room. Ensuite a good size compared with many chain hotels of similar price. Loved the covered shared balcony between rooms.
Cons: Didn't realise from the booking info rooms are over a bar. Not what we would normally choose. It wasn't a problem but think this should be clear. TV in room didn't work.
Pros: Less than 5mins from the motorway. Comfy rooms with air conditioning. Good pub below and near other restaurants. Breakfast from 6:30am.
Pros: Very helpful waitresses, central location, ample parking (at a 100 metres free), good restaurants around, Villefranche is a lively old town with beautiful buildings + terrific church (gargoyles&stained glass!). It is a 200 year old inn (today the ever popular Irish pub) with quirky narrow staircases and rather small, low ceilinged rooms BUT a very quiet well functioning airco, and that for such price! Don’t be put off by the pub: they do turn down the music later in the evening ..... and they sure serve a nice pint (some 12 on tap). Breakfast at 6,90 is basic, but with excellent coffee from an expresso machine and unlimited. Beware: the first two parking rows are paid & one hour only during the day - the sign Parking Gratuit is rather misleading.
Cons: A warning about the parking arrangements would help the weary, tired traveller, although strictly speaking that’s not there responsibility.
Pros: The location was right in center of town. Was lovely & clean & quiet.
Cons: Everything was fine.
Pros: Very clean and comfortable room. Great pub downstairs with live music but not noisy in the rooms at all.
Pros: The bar below (Irish Pub), the friendly staff, opportunities to eat in the neighborhood and the possibility to park the car in a private garage box. Even on a Thursday the pub was filled with locals and had a very nice atmosphere. (I had the room above, but dit not hear it when we went to bed)
Pros: Great AirCon which was welcome in the heat! Surprisingly quiet considering that the hotel is a very lively Irish Pub Some nice touches in the rooms decor wise
Cons: Room needed a makeover. Felt very dated in paint and bathroom fittings. Bed was too big for the small room.
Pros: Central, busy bar. Funky spiral staircase to our room at top
Cons: Seemed odd being at an Irish bar in central France! The photo they had of the room outside the bar wasn’t inspiring - much better in reality! Not for someone who cant go up stairs
Pros: we came only for one night and even because of this they give us a room before time (we came In early morning)
8,3 Excellent (1 086 reviews)
Close to Lyons, and in the heart of the Beaujolais capital, the Mercure Villefrance en Beaujolais Ici et Là hotel boasts stylish, contemporary architecture. It is a place for living and meeting, offering rooms that excite the senses. Ideal for your busine ss trips, the meeting and seminar rooms are comfortable and equipped with WIFI. Relax in the bar or restaurant and enjoy refined dishes that will delight your taste buds.
Pros: Room upgraded
Cons: The bathroom had problems, bath not working so changed room.
Cons: Need better WiFi coverage. Need shower curtains.
Pros: Everyone friendly & helpful...
Pros: Reception were extremely helpful
Cons: No washbasin in separate w.c.
Pros: The cuisine is exceptional, and so were the croissants; I preferred their small size to the monster ones we had in some of the hotels. They were perfectly baked!
Pros: Nice large rooms. Suitable for business trips. Hotel satisfied request for having rooms close to each other and located in upper floors.
Cons: Hard to communicate with the staff in English. Half-board option lacked variety. Hotel was good but in case of going back we would not select the half-board option.
Pros: Thé hôtel was quiet apart from slamming doors. The doors are designed to be slammed.
Cons: Being asked to move at breakfast time for no apparent reason. Excessive preauthorisations on the credit card effectively blocking the account. No reason was given for this. Access to the garage is difficult if you arrive on the opposite side of the road to the hotel.
Pros: Staff was helpful. Sabri helped us find some breakfast food at 5-6 am as we were starving after a late night out.
Cons: Not able to order food at any time of day or night. Especially on a sunday where all stores are closed. Need at the very least a few snacks /foods and drinks available 24/7. Or a snack and soda vending machine.
Pros: The rooms beds were unusually good quality for a heavy boy like me. Breakfast was very good selection and very well presented but needs notifications of what there was in English or any other languages as the staff did not speak any other language, ironic, as out of my four, french is not one!
Cons: The fact that the pool was not open and that was the main reasons we booked the hotel after driving for ten hours and no explanation was given or compensation at all. Also having to pay for parking was not made clear until I got into the bedroom. The milk in the rooms were three months out of date and off! so had to go to reception to get fresh supply! ps the reception was also out of date!
Pros: Typical hotel on the way to vacation destination. Good value for what you pay.
Pros: It is getting a little tired and needs a refurb but it was close to the Motorway.
Cons: The breakfast was a massive disappointment. For EIGHT euros I was expecting something more than a four inch piece of hard baguette, small slices of cheese and sliced ham with a few other minor nibbles not worth trying. Save the money and buy something from the supermarket.
Pros: It was basically cheap and available at the time :) Big parking for the car. Proximity to a VERY good boulangerie. In short you get what you pay for a 2 star hotel and that's ok.
Cons: You have to LEAVE THE HOTEL BETWEEN 11 and 17 on holiday and weekend. This is a simple no-go. That is the first time ever I see such a deal and on a location that self describes as a "hotel". I find this very strange. It happened that this didn't impact us as we could still use the facilities on Saturday without impact. But seriously, you cannot ask your customer to read for small print sales conditions to have such an important information !
Pros: On our route
Cons: It was in an industrial area
Pros: Free parking, good WiFi, clean, affordable.
Pros: Air con.
Pros: Large bedroom. Family staff friendly.
Cons: Restaurant closed (a;ways been open before) Some features a bit dilapidated, even for a two star.

Located in Villefranche-sur-Saone, initial by balladins Lyon / Villefranche-sur-Saône is in the business district, a 3-minute drive from Musee Paul Dini and 11 minutes from Golf Club du Beaujolais. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby and multilingual staff. Free self parking is available onsite.
Cons: Room was dated, very dirty with cobwebs everywhere & bugs on bed. Would not recommend & would pay extra to stay in Lyon city centre which is lovely. Just because it was cheap doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be clean.
Pros: Quik acces on the road . Large parking lot . Good breakfest
Cons: Pretty good place to rest on a long trip .
Pros: Convenient off autoroute, buffet dinner very tasty and good value
Cons: Fire alarm went off 2am. Only a few of us went out, no one turned up, alarms went off didn’t know what was happening . No staff at all. Asked where to leave the key as we were leaving early next morning. She told us reception but reception was locked up had to leave in room. Staff not very friendly or accommodating
Pros: Great breakfast. Value for money.
Cons: Location a bit too industrial for a leisure trip.
Pros: Very good value for the price.
Pros: Location, cost, convenience
Cons: Replace the batteries in the TV remote!
Pros: Quietness, cleanness and facilities
Cons: the smell of the room
Pros: Room clean
Cons: The food was good
Pros: Fair place to spend a night on a large trip to Germany .
Cons: Tiny bathroom , with only a big shower towel for two persons .

Cons: The air conditioner was not at all effective.difficult for the hot weather.

This hotel has facilities measuring 215 square feet (20 square meters), including a meeting room. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Central location. Lovely staff. Rooms clean and comfortable- great air conditioning!! Our bathroom flooded and they moved us immediately
Cons: Garage very tight for parking . Be careful if you arrive on a Sunday daytime as everywhere closed in the town but lovely in the evening and had a great meal up the Main Street
Pros: the breakfast est excellent, a lot of choices
Cons: I was not told about the parking when I arrive late. if you do not want to use the elevator, the stairs are not attractive, and you have to be careful when you use them.
Pros: Value for money in a good central location
Pros: Biscuits & tea & coffee maker in room, big towel, nice shower with hot water, peaceful room on second floor, great location, easy to park nearby.
Cons: Better than expected
Pros: Great location, friendly helpful staff. Adequate night stop over hotel
Cons: Room was small and cramped. Would not have been able to cope with more than one nights stay. Not sure of comparable room rates in the vicinity but room felt expensive
Pros: It is in a good central location
Cons: Family stop over whilst on route to alps. The rooms are tiny. I have never experienced something so cramped- almost has to been see to be believed. The room is the size of a queen bed, whilst the shower/WC would be unusable if over 6ft. No hot breakfast (cost 11 euros) and parking was extra also. Hotel also next to a noisy bar so do it expect much sleep. Never again £160 wasted should have slept in the car
Pros: Room very small but clean under parking bag was very tight and couldn’t fit our suv in but great location and would come back
Pros: Location in a nice area to walk around close to the town hall. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were modern and clean however the double room I had would have been too small for two people in my opinion. Perfectly adequate to one person.
Pros: The welcome tray. Comfy bed. Free street parking close at hand.
Pros: air conditioning worked great. room was small, but comfortable. Easy walking distance to restaurants and the market
Cons: Bathroom is a tight squeeze, but functional. Wish there was easier parking as we had to drive around a bit to find a spot.

Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby and multilingual staff. This hotel has 2 meeting rooms available for events. Free self parking is available onsite.
Cons: no kind-hearted
Cons: It's a model, the bath room could be cleaned better
Pros: Easy to reach location off the autoroute, so a good place to stay in the middle of a long drive.
Cons: No where nearby for a short walk before resuming our journey.
Pros: Very friendly staff
Cons: Nothing,very nice
Pros: I like Camponile hotels as a good basic stop over. Air conditioning - large table to work on - coffee making and a restaurant.
Cons: Unfortunately the restaurant wasn't open as it was Bastile day.
Pros: It was terrible. In the middle of an industrial estate with an alarm going off all night. I was charged for breakfast despite my booking saying it had been paid for. The only saving grace was the nice staff.
Cons: As above. I will not stay there again and would not recommend it to anyone.
Cons: The directions as to how to reach the hotel were inaccurate and impossible to follow, starting with the wrong exit off the motorway. 2 hrs later, on s hot and frustrating day, we found the hotel as much by chance as by design. Fortunately when we did find it, everything was excellent, except that the restaurant was closed on that evening.
Pros: Easy to reach from the motorway. Good food quickly served as soon as we arrived. Breakfast available from 6:30 so we were able to make an early start in the morning
Cons: The shower didn,t work
