Pros: Location
Cons: Room set up
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Good staff. Nice location.
Cons: Booked a twin room for 2 family members - because of the way the room was done - there was no privacy for anyone taking a shower. The shower had frosted glass but then when you stepped out ....
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Well located in the city and vineyards, great base for walking or cycling tours, charming city
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The location is perfect, right in the heart of the village. The hotel is brand new and is amazing. The room was very clean and spacious. Breakfast was great, the coffee was fantastic!!
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location.. you walk out the door and you step into the fairytale village of Kayersberg. Great modern hotel inside a seemingly old stone building. Had a terrific modern vibe with a view to the street. Lots of power points and USB charging points - including in the bedhead. Semi open bathroom arrangement, not the WC thank goodness, which made the room feel much bigger. Extremely helpful staff who helped us find our way around and an excellent continental breakfast. Free parking available nearby. Would stay here again every time.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and free parking available nearby. The rooms were small, but comfortable. There were well decorated and clean.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable room and great location.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in a room on the third floor for two nights with a nice and modern design. Breakfast was good but the best about the hotel is the location right in the heart of the old town.
Cons: Two small things I want to make aware of: Our room was very dark even though the sun came out that day. That's because the window is super small but I think that's the "price" you pay, when you are staying in an old building in the beautiful old town. I was surprised by the carpet in the room, because dogs are allowed in this hotel. But maybe guests with dogs are accommodated in other rooms.

8,8 Excellent
Pros: Restuarant open on Sunday and the Decore of the Restuarant inside, realy wish they had spent that much effort with the Chalet rooms Restuarant Food in the Evening was very quirkey and so nice to see someone was thinking outside of the Box The Terrace overlooking the Pond and the Valley, with an option to Dine out if you wished. Staff and Proprietor were very friendly, good command of English and so no misunderstanding or was there, see below
Cons: What totaly peeved me off was that after organising prior to arrival and again on the day of arrival with the Patron a Celebration Gateaux for my Wife's 60th Birthday they brought out a pityfull Teensie Weensie one bite cake with a single candle, I felt so embarrased, it was as if that was the best I could organise for her Big 60, not impressed! and I felt very insulted! No Milk or biscuits for our Tea in the room and No Coffee on our 1st Day, No Fan in the Room, No Handle on the Shower Door, Warm Water for our 1st Night's Shower [arrived at 6:30pm] and a BIG NO NO for being Charged for our Tiny Dog to Sleep on the Floor in our Chalet. The term "May Charge for a Dog" is just so misleading, especially if they always do charge # To sum up I would say that the marketing ploy here is to fill their Chalets by offering cheap rooms and then to make the Business Work around the fact that people need to eat and drink, a water in our room was priced at 3euro and the restuarant pricing is based upon this model. Pros: Wonderful location, large and comfortable rooms with a great view, very friendly hosts and an excellent and cosy little restaurant. Reservation recommended. Everything was fine, hope to get back there soon.
Cons: Nothing I can think of.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We were upgraded to a larger room because the hotel wasn’t full, which was a good start. Nicely decorated, comfortable room with tea and coffee. Stunningly good dinner, with local produce. Good breakfast, too. Friendly staff. Lovely countryside around and the animals were fun to look at.
Cons: The bathroom was quite cosy - didn’t bother us, but it might some.

Cons: Everything was great!

Pros: Location in Kaysersberg Valley. Not far from mountains
Cons: Good place to be. Calm!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Liked everything about the property. It’s well located, has spacious and well design rooms, serves good breakfast and it’s owners are very helpful and friendly
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts are extremely welcoming and helpful. The room has a stunning view on the valley, the bed is one of the most comfortable bed we slept in. The room is very spacious with nice design elements and extremely clean. We had airco which was absolutely necessary this particular weekend in France. We went biking and Maurice, the owner, gave us great road recommendations. Edith, his wife is a brilliant cook, amongst being really friendly and was also great in giving us restaurant and winery recommendations. Ideal for a long weekend.
Cons: This will sound lame but cannot think of one thing that wasn’t up or beyond our expectations.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Loved everything about this property - our room was huge, sat high up on the hill with stunning views of the valley, other hills and sunsets, spacious bathroom with large walk in shower, 2 sinks and lots of storage space. The toilet had its own room with sink. The room had a long couch, chair, table & nice stools and the most comfortable king bed ever! The breakfasts were fabulous - fresh breads, pastries, orange juice, homemade apple juice, coffee, meats, cheeses, yogurt and creamy butter. The hosts were very helpful (recommended hikes, restaurants, vineyards, etc.) and were just such friendly, genuinely nice people. We did not want to leave after 3 nights. Highly recommend this place (short drive to all the wine trail towns with no parking issues) and we will definitely stay here again if in the area!
Cons: Nothing; everything was perfect!

Pros: Very freindly and helpful with excellent food, and greta breakfasts. Hotel was in the main square of the town but was very quiet and even the church clock bells stopped at a sensible hour. On the night the restaurant was closed we went across the road and had a very good meal with very welcoming staff. The area is lovely and the local wines so good we came home with a couple of boxes. A great place to explore the area.
Cons: Maybe the stairs were a bit tiring. A lift would be good but there is nowhere to fit one in.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Location was ok, but as I arrived after 7 pm on a night when the restaurant was closed for some reason, there was no one there to meet me. Earlier in the day to only person I could talk to, spoke no English and I had to get someone at the airport to translate for me. Not ideal at all. At the hotel, instructions were left in a mail box with my room key. Someone who spoke english was on the end of the phone to give me further instructions on where to park.
Cons: The restaurant to be open as I had no food and nowhere else open to eat. Would have been good to have actually had staff available to greet me; it was only 9pm
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The city is very close to Colmar and extremely lovely - vineyards and architecture creates a feeling you are in some sort of fairytale. Hotel is very authentic and nice, rooms are clean, spacious and lovely. You can also buy a local vine there at the hotel with a very reasonable price. The staff is very helpful! Really enjoyed the stay.
Cons: Need to decide about the breakfast in advance and be on time :)
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is in a group of historic buildings overlooking a small square with parking, within a walled 'museum' city in an attractive area of Alsace. The traditionally-furnished bedroom was comfortable, with a tiny balcony big enough for one person to sit outside. Staff were very friendly, and food was high-quality at both dinner and breakfast. On one of our two nights, the restaurant was closed; a very good restaurant was 100 yards away.
Cons: Parking in the immediate area was extremely limited, though we were helped to use a reserved space. The main problem issue was the many tight staircases, including from the front door down into the basement restaurant, where the reception was also located. A disabled person would have no chance.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: You can almost read the house’s history just by looking at its warm and cosy Alsacian design. The restaurant downstairs serves an amazing array of savoury local dishes, perfectly plated. The atmosphere, the welcoming and the entire vibe while we were in Alsace have made us feel like we belong there. We have especially admired the SCHILLE GISIE family, who are run this place with seniority and professionalism. Congratulations! We highly recommend Hosellerie Schwendi for anybody who wants to experience an authentic vacation.
7,9 Good
Pros: The hotel is located in a little village about 15 min driving to colmar, therefore the price is much value for money than the hotels in popular colmar :) In addition, the restaurant is great!
Cons: For group guests, you might be hosted in separate buildings which make the face to face communication a little bit challenging... (need to jump from different buildings)
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic dining experience. Food amazing!

Pros: This is such a cozy hotel in the Vosges area. The rooms are elegantly decorated with French style. Host Anaelle and her mum provided good information for sightseeing and trekking to Lac Tuites, Lac Blanc & Lac Noir. Really wanna go ski in winter time. We also love the breakfast that Anaelle’s mum cooked for all guests. Simple but high quality.
Cons: They photo of hotel building posted on booking.com is not right! The really building are much better than the photo. Please change!
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Nice, quiet place up the hill from Kaysersberg. We were simply passing through on our way from Germany to Paris, and it was an ideal location. We arrived after hours but the hosts sent us a text with instructions to let ourselves in. There was nowhere to eat that was open when we arrived (@ 7 pm) so we drove down to Kaysersberg (15 min. away) where there are many excellent restaurants.
Cons: The location is a bit remote, but quiet.

7,0 Good
Pros: Nice room, food had a limited choice but ok. Great breakfast and staff, loved the choice of bread.
Cons: The church bells at 6.00am! The evening bar girl was not as attentive as she should have been, we waited 15mins for her to take our order but she didn’t, even though she went to both tables next to us. We went to our room thirsty!!

Pros: Fairytale like accommodations
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Liked the atmosphere. Staff incredibly friendly.
Cons: Wifi service very poor in room. Second room in suite was with a slanted roof so less convenient for taller adult.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice rustic and ancient property C.1569 in a pretty village just off the Alsace Wine Route. We had a balcony which was a bonus. The rooms were comfortable and there is a restaurant within walking distance and a Bar/Bistro below the property. There are two vineyards in the village and you are close to several pretty villages. We would stay again.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Our second visit as we enjoyed it so much the first time during our journey between Sardinia and London. Love the cosiness of the wood panelled rooms with antique pieces and the atmosphere in the cellar bar/restaurant. A wood-fired oven in the other room is used to cook the delicious tartes flambées they serve. Good breakfast also served in the cellar. Beblenheim is lovely and surrounded by many more gorgeous Alsace villages.

Cons: Nothing
9,0 Excellent
Pros: We loved that this apartment was a bit away from the main drag. It was very quiet and didn’t have hoards of people streaming by (like the main street). It was very spacious and we loved relaxing in the living room. Our host was just lovely! She made breakfast for us every day and it was more than just a continental breakfast...bread, cheese, cold cuts, fruit, jam, butter, juice, coffee/tea.
Cons: The only thing we would have liked was a bed (queen or king) that wasn’t two singles pushed together (but this is common in Europe). It wasn’t a big deal for us but would have been nice.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Location into Riquewihr was very good. We had three spacious rooms.
Cons: Strange sleeping arrangement with only a small blanket per person on a bed with no regular bedsheets. The mattress cover was like bedsheets but not quite adequate. The owner was nice but didn’t speak English. Our French is non-existent so vital information about things like the best way to get to Strasbourg on the train via a park and ride was not communicated to us, but was given to other guests. Unfortunately the train parking in Selestat that was host recommended was not possible.

Pros: My husband and I spent three absolutely wonderful days at Le Clos Des Raisins and can only recommend this B&B. It is located in a small, calm and picturesque village - however, it is still very central and in the midst of other absolutely stunning and beautiful little towns and villages. The B&B is a true oasis and the hospitality of the owners can hardly be beat. We were welcomed very cordially and equipped with many helpful tips for the area. The breakfast was amazing and especially the countless homemade jams a true treat.

Chambre d'Hotes Le Saut de La Truite - Orbey - Bedroom

7,5 Good
Pros: Perfectly nice host! Nice neighbourhood, though it's not so easy to reach this place. Roads are narrow and steep, so particularly in winter time please have well equipped car. Nice breakfast, though there were no hot dishes.
Cons: A little bit noisy rooms - can hear most of what happens in the corridors. Metal bed is not the most comfortable. I don't know the French level of prices for this kind of accomodation, but comparing to Italy, Germany, Netherlands, Spain etc - I paid much more here (from 21% to 69% more, depending on the selected benchmark) without getting something much better. So that's why the quality/price ratio is quite low in my eyes.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice family-owned place, great breakfast and home-cooked dinner with local ingredients, child-frendly with a separate play area for kids with toys and books, 10 minutes from the skislopes (do bring snow chains as the road is not cleaned).
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Nice place to stay, friendly personel, parking space ok, good breakfast, only when there is snowfall it is necessary to put on snowchaines to get too the skipistes
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect. Our hosts were so nice and very helpful. The breakfast was really nice with lots of choices (breads, fresh fruit, cereals, yogurt, fresh jams, cake etc). We had dinner there as well, which we really liked. All in all it was the perfect place
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Simple , no frills, hotel, located on a steep hill outside Orbey, backing on to a river, which you can hear from your room. Nice surrounding landscape- good for walking. Warm welcome from hosts. Private parking. Friendly, no problem attitude. Meals and drinks very reasonably priced. Decent Wi-Fi.
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: If you want to be treated like a guest visiting friends instead of being a customer of a hotel company, go here an feel the difference.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We had two fabulous nights here at the beginning of August. Rose Marie and Serge run a fantastic Chambre D'Hote. The room was beautiful, with lots of personal touches which gave it character. The bed was extremely comfortable and it was very quiet and peaceful in the room. I slept the best that I had for a week! The outside terrace had a wonderful view over the hills, into the village of Orbey. Perfect for aperitifs and after dinner drinks!! The home cooked food made the most of local ingredients and was extremely delicious. Rose Marie and Serge's hospitality was so warm and friendly. We loved speaking French and them replying to us in English! We would highly recommend staying here.

Located in Beblenheim, Kanzel Residences is a 4-minute drive from NaturOparC and 6 minutes from Château Girsberg. Featured amenities include a safe deposit box at the front desk and an elevator. Free self parking is available onsite.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Location was perfect. Very quiet and lots of privacy. The pool was excellent. There is a sauna and showers near the pool. The scenery is just marvelous.
Cons: Kitchenette is really small with very limited cooking functionality.
6,3 Good
Pros: Nice swimming pool with both shadow and sun. I was nice and quiet, calm atmosphere and a friendly host.
Cons: Our apartment was clearly one of the oldest, with only a very small and simple kitchenette, which made cooking and doing the dishes a challenge. For the rest is was okay: the apartment was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The shower very spacious. Except the small kitchen nothing was really wrong, but the price level would have suggested a more up-to-date apartment. The WiFi was almost impossible: no reach for some of the time, and when connected very slow. So I used my 4G network to connect and made my own hotspot so that my wife could read the newspapers on her tablet.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The location in the middle of the vineyards, the buildings, the spacious accomodations, and the pool area surrounded by old trees were all wonderful. The kitchen in our apartment had everything you needed to prepare small meals, and sitting outside just in front of the apartment with our morning coffee and a view of the vineyards was heavenly! We left our car at home and brought our bikes on the train, but even so, Kanzel Residences was easy to reach from the Colmar train station - as were restaurants and shops in Beblenheim, Riquewihr, Ribeauvillé and Kaysersberg (no need to bike on the major roads, there are excellent bike paths through the vineyards which allow you to avoid traffic).
Cons: The only thing less than perfect was that we had no WiFi access in our room during the stay - we had to go to the reception area or close to the pool. Caroline and Serge tried their very best to have this fixed, though, but it was apparently a major technical problem.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Everything was arranged perfectly with a lot of attention to the details. Very welcoming place. Highly recommended.

Pros: - Carolina is a great host. After we arrived we could immediately enter our appartement, no unnecesary paperwork. Carolina showed us the appartement. - The appartement was soo nice. Big kitchen with everything you need. Big bathroom and nice terrace. We stayed with just the two of us. I believe we had one of the bigger appartments though. - There was also a great pool. Water temperature was perfect! Not too hot and not too cold. - A very good bakery nearby. Also a little supermarket. - Overall: defenitely reccomend!
Cons: - Nothing!

Pros: Very nice hotel and great food at the restaurant. Staff was very helpful, room was a good size and clean. Would definitely stay here again.
Cons: Main building had the restaurant and some rooms upstairs. WiFi was very good in the restaurant but we were in an unattached building which was nice but the wifi was poor.

Pros: The staff are very friendly, Graciously listen to my terrible french and reply to me in English! Very clean inside and out, a choice of bath or shower, lovely room with great views. My husband myself and 11 year old daughter stayed here last year too and we'll definitely be staying again next year on our way to the Italian lakes.
Cons: Nothing not to like, really. We have a dog so have to breakfast separately so he's not left alone.
7,5 Good
Pros: An excellent location, with good parking, for exploring the charms of Kaysersberg. A good breakfast included the increasingly rare pleasure of a freshly made pot of coffee and a pot of hot milk brought to the table. Very friendly staff.
Cons: There was no bar or evening restaurant at the hotel, and no tea/coffee-making facilities in the room.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We were made to feel very welcome. My father visits regularly & we were made to feel like old friends. Wonderful breakfast with stunning views only a short walk to the centre.
Cons: Nothing, all lovely.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: That Mme. Keller is still in place after 30 years since our last visit and still very welcoming.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Location was excellent just a few minutes walk from Kayserberg centre. Garage parking for the motorbike.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Extremely friendly staff. They were at least tri-lingual—French, English and German.
Cons: Nothing could have been better.
7,5 Good
Pros: We stopped at the annexe to the hotel (unaware until we arrived), good parking for our motorbike directly in front of our accommodation. The room was rather dated ref decor, but clean and serviceable for our one night stop over. A beautiful view from our room and very close to the gorgeous town centre. A really nice breakfast which we took in the main hotel.
Cons: The bathroom could do with updating.

Pros: Clean, decently sized room with balcony with views of the surrounding vineyards. Romantic hotel in a romantic, quiet town! Very friendly owner & staff. Delicious breakfast. The breakfast room doubles as a wine tasting room in which we were able to taste and buy their wine.
Cons: Nothing!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We absolutely loved that place! Very helpful and dedicated staff, such a lovely lady which we were having wine tasting with. It was pleasure to spend the weekend at the property. Surrounding very nice, quiet, tranquil. Wines were excellent, we bought 13 bottles afterwards:)
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff at the vineyard were really helpful, plus very knowledgeable for the winetasting. Would recommend.
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We were made to feel extremely welcome in this spotlessly clean and intimate little property, located in a working winery and furnished to a very high standard. The staff - possibly the proprietors - were very pleased to offer interesting information on wine-making and local culture. They run short introductions (1 or 2 hours) on wine making. On this occasion we were able to stay for just one night and couldn't take advantage of this, but we are already making plans for a longer stay next year.
Cons: We couldn't find anything to dislike.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff - Tiffany. She could not have been more helpful. The location is great - in the middle of vineyards with lots of opportunities to walk and cycle.
Cons: Our room was rather dark and shaded. Being on the ground floor also meant we couldn’t open the windows. Next time we’d book a room at the front or on the upper floors.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The staff was so far above expectations!
Cons: Honestly the pillows could have been a bit thicker but that is it.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We like the atmosphere and the location
Cons: Wifi issue in the room

10,0 Excellent
Pros: I'm always on the lookout for a great restaurant that also has hotel rooms as opposed to a great hotel that also has a restaurant. The restaurant here is fabulous and the rooms are very comfortable with a nice hot, powerful shower, strong wifi, and its set in a quaint Alsatian village.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Old fashioned in a very positive way, big rooms, good matress, very nice staff and good food.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Whenever I take friends to the Alsace we have dinner at the fabulous restaurant "Philippe Gärtner" (at the hotel) and spend the night there, followed by an excellent breakfast!
5,8 Okay
Pros: The breakfast was good and I also liked that they admit dogs.
Cons: It's an old fashioned hotel and for me it was creepy. They don't have a 24 hour reception. I could hear everything from other rooms and that was uncomfortable. They have no wifi and the TV is only in French.
7,5 Good
Pros: Convenience for exploring Ammerschwihr.
Cons: No lift.
7,5 Good
Pros: The location, in the heart of a charming village, is superb and the restaurant continues the great traditions that made its name many years ago, with excellent service and great food.
Cons: There is internet but it is unreliable. The business is closing next year and the fittings etc are understandably rather tired, but if you have loved this place in its heyday, go now before it’s too late!

Pros: the meal
Cons: the staircase
