Cons: I thought it was expensive! I stayed in 8 different hotels while in Provence, Burgundy and Paris and didn’t feel the room I had measured up to the price. Pool wasn’t open for the season. I loved enjoying a drink on the lovely patio but was seated next to smokers who smoked nonstop...eek

Pros: As we paid over €300 per night excluding breakfast we had High expectations during our two nights stay in Aix. (Stayed at the Grand Hotel last time and was Very happy with that.) We where met with the best service and engaging staff. Valet parking was 100%! The standard in the room was top notch. Our daughter was welcomed, after we arrived at our room, with a small tray with popcorn and candy. You must also try the lounge. Great tapas and drinks. The spa had an indoor pool that was used both days and everything was perfect. Different options at breakfast as the French people obviously only eat croissants and coffee. I had the chefs make me an omelette and we didn’t miss anything. Again very engaging staff that 100% understands the level of service that is expected. Nice job!!

Cons: Beautiful decor and hotel but very corporate. More suited to business trips than leisure. Swimming was had restricted times for kids and times available were inconvenient and late for a younger child. No one was in the pool when we visited in the afternoon, so this was a real shame that we couldn’t assess the pool when we wanted to.

Cons: Its a five star hotel, but there's all sorts of five stars. The room service menu is very restricted and is available at the TV, some people won't be able to figure it out. The breakfast is served until 10, and at 10 sharp, you can be having coffee and they will take everything off and come at you to tell you that the meal is closed.

Cons: Massive hotel in Aix, but little charm. Location is fine; the center town is about a 10 minute walk. They have an indoor pool (closes at 9:30 pm) and spa, but as I arrived late, I was unable to use these facilities. Parking is €19 extra. The room was quite expensive compared to other hotels around France (Paris and Cassis), which is pretty surprising. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel, although it satisfies the need for a clean hotel with large bed, it doesn’t provide anything else I would want on a nice trip to Provence.

Pros: This hotel offered ideal, central location, accommodating and kind staff, great value and charm. We were looking for a relaxing stay and it was quiet, peaceful and our balcony offered a gorgeous view just above the city. The table and chairs outside were a perfect place to start the day with coffee and enjoy the sunset shinning from St. Victoire to Marseille. The TV offered channels in several languages and fresh robes and slippers always available to wear over to the spa. Although we never ate at the restaurant, the bar offered good drinks in a nice environment. Excellent value and experience.

Cons: The room was supposed to be Superior Double but was actually quite small and very uncomfortable - the furniture were sort of squeezed in the room, leaving very narrow walking space and you could easily bump yourself into them. The cleaning lady kept on throwing our clothes to the floor or onto our luggage (never happened in a four star I stayed at before).

Pros: The stay was excellent. I was positively surprised by the cleanliness and the ambiance of the hotel. The swimming pool was very clean. The location was also not far from the city, also for the ones not using a car the bus stop is just 100m away. For those using a car there a is a free car parking available. The breakfast was also really nice, a lot of variety, fresh fruits meat and bread. As a matter of fact, it exceeded my expectations. Rest was absolutely brilliant, I would definitely recommend your hotel to all of my friends. Thanks.

We were en route to Nice with car and bike and the parking is secure and easy, not like you would get in a city centre, but also it was only a 30 minute (pleasant) walk into the town. The hotel itself is nothing special but it is clean and comfortable and the staff were very nice and helpful. Pretty good value for money.

Cons: Breakfast could have used some fresh vegetables option (e.g. tomatoes, cucumbers, etc). The bathroom was not spotless, but was overall clean (i have extremely high standards for cleanliness). The location is a bit remote, but if you come by car, it is definitely not an issue, as most sightseeing options are within minutes driving distance.

Cons: Wish there are more hanger for cloth. Six hanger are not enough for two people. The AC was too strong and we could not adjust it to be less cold, so we tried to sleep with AC off and windows open. The temperature in the room got a lot more comfortable this way. Unfortunately we then heard the garbage pickup early in the morning, everyday. It was so loud that we had to keep the window closed again.

Pros: Everything, before anyone says anything I know it is only an IBIS and not a boutique hotel in the Maldives, but after a long week at a chateau sweeping up after our family it was a pleasure to be greeted by a really friendly staff member who was informative and friendly. Breakfast was good and probably one of the best IBIS ones we have had (decent coffee machine is always a must) all in all no complaints here.

Pros: Modern, clean decor. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Good selection at breakfast (even with a one guest being gluten free). Location provides easy access to Aix centre by car. We arrived late and so ate at the restaurant which was nice. It has a great outdoor seating area and good selection of food. There’s a secure luggage store where you can leave luggage after you’ve checked out and collect later.

We went for drinks in evening and the waitress was really nice, lighting a mosquito candle near us and providing nibbles with drinks. The breakfast was amazing and enjoyed by all.

Pros: Everything, before anyone says anything I know it is only an IBIS and not a boutique hotel in the Maldives, but after a long week at a chateau sweeping up after our family it was a pleasure to be greeted by a really friendly staff member who was informative and friendly. Breakfast was good and probably one of the best IBIS ones we have had (decent coffee machine is always a must) all in all no complaints here.
Cons: No free beer and dancing girls in the car park.

Cons: Breakfast area was lack of hygiene, full of flies and rotten fruits. Most of the family and friends who stayed in the hotel suffered from diarrhoea, tummy cramps and temperature. The restaurant staff are very rude and look miserable.

Cons: Our room had a mezzanine and the air conditioning did not reach up there. So for half of our family it was really uncomfortable. I do not advise you take one of these rooms. Besides, there was an employee who was really rude to my husband. While he was making his first trip with our luggage to the public parking lot (the hotel’s was complete), he was yelled at as if he was trying to “escape” the hotel. Unbelievable. And I should mention that the room was already paid.

In addition to pastries and fruit, they had scrambled eggs, bacon, meats, cheeses. The showers were wonderful. Rooms were small, but they very cleverly utilized space with raised closets and drawers in the bathroom.

In an open top convertible this can be quite and experience as not many shoppers are too keen on you being there. Hotel is first rate although the pictures shown give the impression that there is a pool, this is actually part of the Spa and is available at an extra charge.

Cons: Access to the hotel parking is very complicated. Very narrow and pedestrian streets and there was a Saturday street market which didn’t allow us to access the parking until well after 2 pm. The entrance is very narrow for a big car. This parking we had to pay for.

Cons: The cleanness. The bed sheets had hair on it, the towels were not changed for 3 days and they changed them after i called the reception and asked for it to be done. Even when it comes to amenities, there is no gym in the hotel, you have to pay if you want to access the spa which usually shouldnt be the case for 4 stars hotel

Cons: Getting to the hotel by car is a challenge because it is in a restricted area. We did not know and drove around for an hour trying to get to it. Finally we called the hotel and they explained how to get through the barriers (push a button that calls the police an tell them we are going to the hotel--they then remotely lower the barriers). Hotel parking is also limited. We did not know it was necessary to reserve a space in advance (at 20 euro per night). We had to park in a public lot that about a 5 minute walk away.

Cons: Hair dryer - I don’t understand why hotels still use the stuck the wall hairdryers that require you to hold a button the entire time you use it. Breakfast - it was ok but Maison Nosh across the road was delicious and only £20 for two and we went there our second morning.

There were tea making facilities in my room and a very comfy bed. There is no elevator but the receptionist willingly carried my bag up and down stairs for me. The breakfast is really excellent and well worth the extra charge. I occupied a double room so for two people the charge would be very reasonable. For myself alone it was expensive, so in future I need to try for a single.

Cons: The rooms need refreshing. Especially the carpet and the bathrooms. Rooms are a bit small and the ones on the ground floor are dark. No toilet brush in the room: non aesthetic brown stripes will stay in the toilet until the room service comes. Imagine you travel with someone and the person sharing the room with you has to see that. To get in and out of the Hotel can take some time, both by foot or by car because there is an electric gate which is kept closed "fr safety reasons". There is a button which connects you to the reception, but as the staff is busy on normal work at the desk, we were often waiting waiting for some minutes. Breakfast was not much, the remaining days we had breakfast at a bakery near by.

He give us another rooms but we booked room for 5 and he give us two rooms for 2 and 4 ,so we was seperate. Cons: In the message from this hotel, they have mentioned that we can put the luggage at the luggage room of the hotel if we arrive earlier than check in time and then when it's check in time, they will help us to send our luggage to the room. However, the staff of the hotel didn't do that and when we came back to the hotel, staff was out of office and we didn't have any luggage in the room yet which caused us not to have our stuffs for anything.
