Easy and affordablePros:The mini van we used was great and in good condition. It had a few scratches and sings but the front desk guy reviewed them before we left pick up. The van drove great and got great gas mileage. My only complaint would be not having a back up camera- but that’s me just being spoiled from my everyday car :). Drop off was quick and easy also. The prices are the lowest we found all around. The insurance isn’t included which usually it is. I believe it was about $19 a day for insurance so the price can add up if you decide to add It on. Only complaint is that the address that kayak sends you to is not the same as the address I found on yelp. My husband and I got lost and ended up in a different place when we went for pick up late at night. All in all I was pretty happy with the vecihle, rental company, and experience.Cons:Update kayak to have the correct address.Reviewed Oct 9 2017

Good place, need to fix some details on the KayakPros:The van was in perfect repair, clean, and worked well. The people were very friendly and accommodating, including having someone come in on Sunday to enable us to return the van without a charge and drive us to the airport.Cons:The Kayak listing said it was open 24 hours on Sunday which was incorrect. Instead we were told on arrival that they had an arrangement with WallyPark where we could drop the van off on Sunday and get a shuttle to the airport for a $30 fee. It's great that they have an arrangement like that, but I was frustrated at the incorrect info on the Kayak listing. They took a copy of my Kayak confirmation and were going to work on getting it fixed. The manager Simon suggested that he could have someone meet us on Sunday so we could return the van without a charge and take us to the airport. She was there on time, no problems at all. To note - on pick-up at the airport you have to call for the shuttle to come pick you up. It does not run continuously. Overall, I was happy with the service.Reviewed Jul 11 2016

Horrible Experience in Chicago-Billed for new tireCons:Within 20 minutes (or less) of picking up our van the back tire went flat. Clearly it was going flat when we got the van. We called AVR and they said they would be sending roadside assistance right away. We waited 2 hours, and a man with two kids and a dog in his vehicle showed up (not that this necessarily bothered us, just kind of strange). He put the small, temporary spare on and said nothing more. We were on a busy conference schedule, so the next day we called AVR to ask how we were to drive around Chicago for 3 days on a spare only good for 35 miles. We were then told that we were responsible to find a certified Dodge dealer, have the tire replaced, and pay for it! We did not do this, as our 3 day trip to Chicago was to attend classes, not maintain their vehicle. When we returned the van with no time to spare before catching our flight, we were told that we needed to come inside to fill out claim paperwork for our insurance/our responsibility to pay for the new tire. When we said we didn't have time to do this, the manager snapped back that he would just report that we REFUSED to complete the paperwork. We didn't refuse to do anything, and were concerned what this would result in if we were to just leave for our flight. After expressing this concern to another employee, we were finally given the paperwork to take with us and send back, but are still being held responsible for the cost of a tire that went flat within minutes of picking the van up. Never again.Reviewed Jun 9 2016

Terrible Customer ServicePros:NothingCons:I arrived at the airport to pick up my rental car, and was unable to rent the vehicle due to not possessing a credit card. I have never had trouble renting in the past with my debit card, and I do not posses a credit card because I try not to spend money I do not have. I had read on the email confirmation that I would need a credit card in order to rent, so I borrowed a card from my brother in order to use the rental. When I arrived they told me the card had to be in my name, which is also ridiculous, because I have used rentals in the past that were paid for through my employers card, which had her name. Then in speaking with the woman about what we could do about working out the rental, she told me I could call the other rental car agencies, take a shuttle back to the airport, and get on the another shuttle to take me to one of those rental companies. The next option she offered was to go to another Enterprise location in the city, who she said would take a debit card. I don't know why company policy would not be the same across the board, but apparently Enterprise can't manage that. Finally when I was fed up with the terrible service and options that were offered to me, I asked the woman, who said she was the manager, that I would just like her to refund the money that was charged for collision coverage that I had paid when I booked the vehicle online. She told me that I would have to call Enterprise to have that refunded. Because of course a manager could not refund a simple $18 charge, I have to waste more of my time calling the company to get it refunded. I travel a lot, and have used renal car on many occasions. I could not believe the ridiculous policies and discrepancies within the same company, which I've used in the past, and will likely never use again.Reviewed Nov 20 2016

Pros:Good price is the only positive about my experience.Cons:Pick up and drop off is awful. You must take the rental shuttle to the main rental terminal off site, then call for their own shuttle to take you further off site. I waited an additional 25 minutes for the extra shuttle. Furthermore there was no urgency. Van wasn’t washed until we checked inReviewed Jun 11 2019

Pros:When we called for pickup they arrived within 15 min. Because our travel was during the day no problems with pickup and drop off times. Great value and van was not fancy version but very nice.Cons:Airport wasn't familiar with this company so not helpful in finding pickup area. It did turn out to be same area as other rental shuttles Our travel times were within hours open. If traveling into area late this option may not have been possible.Reviewed Jul 7 2016

Renter BewarePros:NothingCons:Everything. When we arrived at Chicago Airport I called for the shuttle. They were closed. I called the 1800 number they said no one could help me because the Chicago offices were closed. They said that they could bring me a van the next day. Too late... I rented from Avis.. I will never rent from them again...Reviewed Jun 14 2016

Pros:Friendly staff. Very clean vehicle. Convenient even though not with other rental companiesCons:Waited a while at the airport for the van Other companies' vans came and went quite often while we were waiting Dropping off after hours at the Sheraton was fine but it was a shock when we initially found out that you were only open 8 to 10 that should be mentioned somewhere on your websiteReviewed Jul 26 2017

Pros:My only quibble is that the driver, on the return, did not get out of the van to help me with my bags. I hinted that he should always motion to do so, but he should hear it from his boss as well. Otherwise, my two experiences have been terrific i.e., efficient staff and check-in and check-out, clean, not too far away, great value, new cars, and they always answer their phones.Reviewed Aug 20 2016
