Pros: This property is one of my top 10 !
Cons: Nothing to mention
Pros: The nicest hosts! Delicious breakfast and very cute room. Room and amenities spotless.
Pros: This was such a cute place! Breakfast in the morning was a great selection and the coffee was pretty good. I really liked that they had various beverages and snacks with an honor bar system available 24/7. Also free coffee was available always.
Cons: Was a bit of a treck to the old town area, but not bad when it wasn't raining.
Pros: Amazing people running a beautiful, peaceful place, full of flowers and art. Lovely place to stay for a weekend or longer. Great breakfast and charming garden. 10/10!
Pros: The accommodation has a very beautiful and relaxing garden. I enjoyed my time after dinner there. A variety of drinks and snacks are available on self-service basis. Healthy and tasty breakfast in the morning.
Cons: It was a very hot day, so I wanted AC in the room.
Pros: Christine has designed her B&B with an artists eye. Fabulous color and pattern combos, unique furnishings, a breakfast both beautifully presented and delicious. Coffee served in fine Meissen porcelain prolonged our leisurely garden mornings.... making it hard to leave the comfort of the Fahrhaus! But do go exploring! We all thoroughly enjoyed the porcelain tour at the famous Meissen factory, the dark cool of the oldest castle in Germany and of course the plaza full of shops and great dining. Our hostess speaks perfect English and helped us get to and from with ease. We appreciated her historical insight as well. If only we could have stayed longer!
Cons: Americans are big babies about warm weather, so accustomed to air conditioning. But be aware, you will not find it in small towns.... open the windows and enjoy the breeze! Check out the website photos far better then these attached. D Garbe

Pros: Very good accommodation, very kind staff, very quiet room. I would like to come back soon!!!
Pros: Clean, nice space in bathroom and bedroom. Friendly and helpful staff. Easy walk to town and sights. Easy parking. No lift.
Pros: Super friendly, central city
Pros: Friendliness of staff, great location and super tasty breakfast
Pros: Very nice staff, comfortable room, good wine in lobby and cozy private garden. Crib for free even for 1 night. Thank you very much.
Pros: Great place, perfect location, good food.
Pros: Excellent apartment, very clean with everything a family would need. Secure parking behind the apartment 5 minute walk to the centre and 1 minute away from a nice public park.
Pros: Very good breakfast. Very modest price.
Cons: Difficult to find behind street-facing building. Address not on Garmin GPS.
A stay at Goldenes Fass places you in the heart of Meissen, within a 10-minute walk of City Museum Meissen and Theater Meissen. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: This is a comfortable hotel with a first class restaurant. It´s easy to find and has a small private parking. Very welcoming personal in the reception and in the restaurant. The dinner and the breakfast is just perfect and that includes the service.
Pros: Friendly staff. Very big rooms. Sauna and whirlpool after 3p.m.
Cons: Difficult to reach by car. Parking is one huge working site with terrible access. Working sites in the yard: noise of drills and saws at 07:00 in the morning.
Pros: The room was separate from the main building but was of a good size and comfortable. The bed reclined. The meal we had in the restaurant was good. Parking was just outside the room.
Cons: Didn't appear to be any bars or restaurants nearby
Pros: The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. They spoke English fluently. We had breakfast in our room and the food servings were large. The hotel let us store our bicycles in a room while we walked around the town even after we had checked out.
Pros: Luxurious stay. Good restaurant. Very good breakfast. Above all - fantastic sauna!
Pros: I had the most extraordinary wedding proposal at this location. The staff was super friendly and helpful in arranging everything and romantically decorating the room with flowers. My fiancée and I liked the room (with whirlpool bath tub and infrared sauna) very much. The food was superb, too. Thank you very much for everything, again.
Pros: Great hospitality, quite location, wonderful setting. Just 5 mins walk to the old town!
A stay at Hotel Goldener Löwe places you in the heart of Meissen, steps from City Museum Meissen and Theater Meissen. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and luggage storage. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Cons: The guy at breakfast has decided we came from the street and 10 times repeated the question about our room number, which sounded more like he was offering something with cinnamon, than actually asking for Zimmernummer. I'm pretty sure he didn't ask anybody else at breakfast for their "cinnamon".
Pros: Great location very near to centre of old town. Parking nearby was easy to find and convenient. Room was old fashioned but lovely.
Cons: No major issues.
Pros: The ‘Golden Lion’ is located in the heart of old Meissen - an area of cobbled streets, ancient buildings, interesting shops, delightful bars and restaurants.
Cons: The only drawback is the lack of on-site parking. However the hotel does offer private parking offsite around 200 metres away. The fact that they are able to do so in an old town is a positive of itself.
Pros: The location perfect, restaurant in hotel with fine beer and wine, and breakfast excellent...!
Pros: Very nice hotel directky in the city centre. Fantastic breakfast. Cheap parking facilities (5 EUR/day) in front of hotel.
Cons: Everything was perfect.
Cons: No irons / ironing board in rooms - only 1 for the entire hotel!
Pros: Hotel is clean, and breakfast was good.
Cons: Old building with bad sound isolation. During our stay in city was some rock festival and as we found out hotel was participating. One of the stages was just near our windows, it was not possible to stay in that room. No one have warned us about such concert when we did reservation. That day we spend in the car driving 600 km, so concert was not in our plans.
Cons: Ignorance of the Russian language
Set in an old estate in Wildberg, this hotel is located in the valley of the River Elbe. Niederwartha Train Station is just 2 km away with direct connections to Dresden. Wildberg is popular with hikers, and the hotel can provide routes and packed lunches. Free parking is available and Meissen and Dresden are both 12 km away. The A4 motorway is 9 km from Landhotel Gut Wildberg, with connections to Chemnitz and the border of Poland.
Pros: Was a lovely setting the outside eating area was very relaxing.
Cons: It would have been made better by having the ability to make a cup of coffee in the room.
Pros: The breakfast was very good with lots to choose from, the evening meal choices were wide ranging and cooked & prepared to a very high standard often not to be found in some expensive restaurants. The staff were all extremely helpful & obliging at all times.
Cons: I cannot think of anything.
Pros: Nice and clean bedroom, great breakfast and good food in the restaurant. Interesting building with a pretty garden.
Cons: Nothing. Maybe good to know that there is no elevator.
Pros: The dinner facilities were excellent

With a stay at Romantik Hotel Burgkeller & Residenz Kerstinghaus in Meissen, you'll be just steps from Meissen Cathedral and Albrechtsburg Castle. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, laundry facilities, and ATM/banking services.
Cons: Staff is a mistake. Unproach unacceptable
Pros: I really liked the super friendly staff in the hotel. The area where the hotel is located is amazing.
Cons: For me the facilities especially of the bathroom were not worth the money. It was just standard. There were not many things included in the price. Not even water in the room.
Pros: The staff in the hotel and its restaurant was fantastic, very helpful and courteous. A glass of champagne at arrival. Wonderful restaurant on site with great food and beautiful views. Bowling alley was a nice addition to facilities on site.
Cons: We booked a room with air conditioning but unfortunately the room we got had no air conditioning, because it was in the rustic part of the hotel, that did not go through renovation (that is what we have been told). We were there during time where outside temperature was 38 degrees, so it got quite hot in the room during the last night of our stay. We would definitely come back but not during hot summer days.
Pros: Very romantic Hotel with a great view of Meissen. Big and comfortable room. Close to Albrechtsburg. Easy check in and out. Very welcoming staff in the reception. We liked everything and will came back.
Pros: Our room and the outside terrace had a beautiful view. Our room was very comfortable and the shower was good. The hotel is located directly next to the Albrechtsburg and Dom (which does mean a proper uphill walk from the middle of the town!). Air conditioning was good and very needed in 35 degree heat! I would definitely stay again.
Cons: The breakfast room had terrible music playing but we sat outside as we were travelling with our dogs (they are not allowed in the breakfast room). Sitting on the terrace was far nicer anyway. There was no free water in the room which hotels of this calibre usually offer. Parking is a bit of a pain as the public car park (€5 a day) is at the bottom of the hill but there is a very efficient funicular/lift (which costs €1 to use) to get you to it.
Pros: Location is good
Cons: Room service insufficient and towels changed only after 3 days and special request

Cons: Beds were definitely on the firm side, top floor meant low ceilings. But nothing really painful.
Pros: Spacious and clean apartment with large bathroom, quiet during the night, cheap and tasty breakfast, helpful staff, bike friendly
Cons: Limited WLAN access (4 hours)
Pros: Everything was great and breakfast was lovely. In the apartment we stayed wi-fi was little a bit slow..

Pros: Excellent location and friendly staff. The hotel is right in the middle of the Old City full of nice small old houses. Therefore, we understand the necessity to have a longterm parking place few blocks away .
Cons: Weak wifi in the room.
Cons: Not fan and not airconditioner
Pros: Very modern room.
Cons: The doona was too hot. I find this a lot in hotels where there is no blanket to use instead of the doona.
Pros: Close to trains and bus. Ultra modern clean rooms just renovated.
Pros: Is reel to good staf is to good thinku
Pros: Very good breakfast buffet with perfectly boiled eggs. Located one minute's walk from the central train station and ten minutes to the charming old city. Car parking in the back yard that felt very safe. Friendly staff. Good value for the price.
Cons: No complaints at all

Pros: The breakfast was served with view at the river. Most relaxing. The variety of food was bigger than expected
Cons: The pillow was only one and too soft, I would be happier with a second one or with option to use either the soft or the hard pillow.
Pros: The personnel was really attentive. We were a group of 20 people and Mr. Kunze at reception desk took vey good care of our reservations and additional requests. If the bar would not close at 00:00 that would top up the experience
Pros: The personnel was really attentive. We were a group of 20 people and Mr. Kunze at reception desk took vey good care of our reservations and additional requests. If the bar would not close at 00:00, that would top up the experience
Pros: Friendly and helpfull staff
Cons: There's not really a bar, but a hang-out next to the restaurant, that close very early (22.00 hrs) It's quite a walk to the city center (other site of the river) Rooms are a bit worn out (e.g. chair seat torn, lots of dust cloaked up in the ventilation channel)
Pros: Very nice hotel!! Excellent breakfast!

Pros: Lovely place! Amazing view to the castle as we were at the last floor of the hotel. Staff was very helpful, letting us borrow an USB Charger for the duration of the trip. Room was large enough and cozy, bed comfortable and bathroom clean and warm. Incredible breakfast! Big variety of food and everything was delicious! Parking available just in front of the hotel.
Cons: Initially the room was not as warm as we'd wished it would be. Elevator appears to be too slow at peak times, for example in the morning when all people are using it and going down to the lobby to check-out.
Pros: Very clean and breakfast was good.
Cons: Room was very clean, but very small
Pros: The room was clean and equipped with the new furniture. Bed was comfortable. WiFi signal was strong.
