Front lobby is very nice. Restaurant on site (Ireland's) is very nice. Surrounding area is quiet.
The place is getting more and more run down as the years pass. This place was much nicer in the 90's. It has lost the scenic view from the pool area looking south across the water where they are now doing major construction. Parking was completely full the night we pulled in. There was an overly loud wall mounted air conditioning unit within 10 feet of our room's front door. All night long, it hummed loudly. Front desk staff apologized for it and offered nothing more. Not a good night's sleep. Room was more like an apartment than a resort room and had a humid, slightly musky smell. I would call this a C or B rated hotel, not a resort.
Out of date, noisy, you could hear through the walls, dirty.
Beware of the bug bites While you sleep
Good place, comfortable and quiet. Large room, comfy bed.
I walked away with big bites on my arms. Not even sure what they were but I woke up with some on the first day and more the next days. The bumps were so huge and itched really badly. I now have discoloration from where the bites grew. I checked out a week ago but they still itch.
Poolside bar great service and food
The hotel is very nice in appearance.
Room was large and well appointed. Water pressure was good. Iron and ironing board in room.
Walls are paper thin. We were in a roombldg 6 on the first floor near the elevators. We could hear the people in the room next door talking ie their entire conversations. We turned on the tv in hopes of not intruding on their privacy. The next morning guests that were leaving the hotel from as early as 5 am could be heard yelling, talking and scraping their luggage right outside the door. We were only staying for one night but had we been continuing our stay we would have needed to change rooms or hotels in order to get any sleep. As it was, between the people in the room next door being up past 1 am and the hall being busy at 5am in was indeed a very limited night of rest.
