Pros: I love everything! All the staff were superb! I was Aloha-ed every day and I loved talking with them! They got fresh fruit, hot tabs, tea, coffee, and other stuff like free laundry and their wonderful kitchen... always kept clean! Still close to the beach, not very far. It was located in a quiet and nice neighborhood. They got a public bus system so it was still very convenient to get around without a car.
Cons: If there's one thing I need to say, just be a little aware that they do have a quite hour starting from 9 o'clock in the evening. The kitchen was closed at 8 pm. You need to get back early if you want to prepare some food for dinner. I was also asked once to remove some clothes with buckles from the dryer ... that was before 9 pm but I understood that someone might already fall asleep. The entire house was kept quiet most of the time, but if someone was talking in the kitchen or living room, we can hear each other pretty clearly (my room was on the first floor). So lower down any private conversation.

Pros: Very friendly owner. Super comfortable nice breakfast beach gear available to use. Lots of open space to relax.full kitchen available to use. A little warn this time of the year for a jacuzzi but would be nice in the winter. Will definitely be back.
Cons: Pillows were a little hard, but I always bring my own

Pros: The helpfulness of the staff was wonderful. Everything was super clean and there were lots of free rentals available (boogie boards, chairs, coolers, snorkeling equipment).

Room was quite large and well appointed with a hot tub. Breakfast was ple tiful and varied. For Maui it was good value for money
Cons: Nothing really. Everything was fantastic.

Pros: This is a great location with very personal service. Loved the private jacuzzi, the large room and the continental breakfast. Still it's a guest house but on a very high level!

8,3 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very courteous. It was a quirky but comfortable stay.
Cons: The room had no daylight - all stained glass in the windows. The rooms do not lock. We found this odd, but didn't have any issues. Our host assured us that there was someone there keeping an eye on things.

Pros: This Bed and Breakfast is beautiful! The rooms were spacious, clean and the outdoor shower was great. Very quiet and relaxing. They were helpful with suggestions on what to do and things to go and see.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Felt overwhelming peace when we were here. I loved how the breakfast breads were prepared on site with quality, healthy, simple ingredients that tasted wonderful. I love how the property was much more like a relaxing retreat than a typical room at a resort. Dan and Amy respected our privacy, were never pushy, but were available to get us whatever we needed. They're super knowledgeable about places to go and are so down-to-earth. I didn't think I'd like the outside shower, but ended up loving it. Seeing the stars above me and hearing birds was enchanting. Had a wonderful stay!
Cons: I don't like bugs, but expected them to be there since the property has a lot of lush green outside. Lends to the beauty of the place, but yes, there are bugs and geckos that naturally live in the greenery. The property owners minimize the use of harmful pesticides, which I believe is a good thing. They do serve breakfast fruits picked straight from their yard, so it makes sense as to why. Don't be shocked if you see a couple of bugs and geckos and just be sensible about it (don't leave doors/windows wide open when you leave, don't leave open food everywhere, etc.). Perhaps hardware could be installed that could better seal the edges around the shower doors and windows to keep the critters out of the room without compromising their ability to open/close easily. Wasn't a major problem for us (saw just 3 in the entire week we were there), but may be for someone else.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Grounds, swimming pool, decor, outside shower, common space ... amazing place! And Dan is an amazing host!
Cons: If you do not like having toilet with no door - then you might not enjoy it
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The property is stunning and quiet. People were friendly and the food was delicious. A great continental breakfast with homemade bread, muffins and scones.
Cons: The pillows..they were not fluffy and needed to have more firmness.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The outdoor shower!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Peaceful, good location. Well maintained grounds. Host Dan was very helpful. You can get an Uber easily to Lahaina. Great breakfast with vegan options, included in price of room which is rare for Maui. We hired a car and it was easy to get to all beaches/restaurants.
Cons: The bed was a bit soft for our liking. But that’s it.
6,8 Good
Pros: The grounds were incredible. The outdoor shower was very cool and unlike anything I've experienced before. I actually really enjoyed the wildlife around and would seek out the cute gecko's at night and loved the frogs. The stars were beautifully visible and it was a lot of fun to gaze at night. I also loved the running trails near by and it was nice to be tucked away from the town of Lahaina but still accessible.
Cons: I am an avid traveler and actually prefer B&B's to big hotels. The charm of B&B's is really special with the right set up and experience. Unfortunately, the breakfast was absolutely dismal. It should not be called a bed & breakfast. Maybe for a weekend away but given we were there for 5 nights - it was not good. The options were completely lackluster and given neither of us like sweet foods - we were left with just a few hard boiled eggs to choose from. We ended up going out and buying our own food which kind of defeats the purpose. The owners were not friendly at all. Multiple times in the morning when we were sipping coffee, Amy was there but didn't make eye contact once or even respond to a good morning. Given we were there for 5 nights - this was unacceptable. If we were unruly guests, maybe - but, we minded our business, we barely there, etc. While I loved the outdoor shower, you should not go here with anyone you're not 100% comfortable with given the fact the toilet area has no privacy. If you aren't comfortable, be prepared to leave the room. With a little extra effort and a little friendliness, this place could go a long way. I'm honestly pretty surprised at all of the positive reviews.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: It’s exactly as it is described, a great place to chill with plenty of personal space. Breakfast is superb.
Cons: You have to accept the odd bug in the rooms given the remote location.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the place back and forth. It is in a friendly neighbourhood where you can easily feel home from the very beginning - even go for a morning run, if you’d like. Dan, our host, was very welcoming and helped us anytime we had questions or needed recommendation on anything. The house is calm, super clean, welcoming, well-equipped and our 2 weeks there were simply amazing. Our room was above all, with an outdoor shower, a nice patio and a comfy bed. The outdoor pool is perfect for a quick swim at the end of the day. We had tasty breakfast at the house almost everyday with lots of fruits, eggs and homemade bakery. We loved that! We sure wanna go back soon, thank you Dan & Amy!!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: A fantastic place to stay, everything we wanted and more. The rooms were excellent and although initially unsure about the outside shower, I was hooked by the end of our stay. Very comfortable and lovely to sit and enjoy the tranquility at different times of day. I cannot recommend enough.
Cons: Nothing, very happy

8,0 Excellent
Pros: Love the location. Good, well maintained building. Happy (multi-time) return visitor.
Cons: Good bones building...externally very well maintained. But many suites badly in need of updating. For example...ste. 1274 that we occupied should be upgraded with new carpeting (still old shag) and updated bathroom fixtures.

Pros: Right beside beach, very great view (even for garden view one has partial ocean view)! The hotel is spacious, clean and more pretty than in the picture, totally worth it and beyond expectation!

9,3 Excellent
Pros: The facility was very nice. Location was great with our other traveling family. The room was clean for the most part.
Cons: The standards for cleanliness was not what I am used to for this price. Sink, frig, shower, floor could have used what I would consider normal care and cleanliness.

Pros: Beautiful location and great staff. Also, you had great guests.
Cons: None.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: The unit was very cozy and spacious. Close to the beach and pool. Facing a beautiful garden. We like it very much! Will come back!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location was great. The room was spacious and had everything we needed. The outdoor grill area was nice and convenient.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Location and calm and clean. Staff very nice and accommodating. Tennis facility on site which was hot but nice and parking was close and included but very tight for even a mid sized SUV. The rooms are huge and beds very comfortable. Very clean. Definitely family oriented especially if you have little kids and plan to stay in a lot. Ocean access wonderful and the beach is not crowded.
Cons: Older property of condos and no real amenities besides a small pool complex. This is more for folks meeting family and doing lots of on site meal prep which would be great and if I were doing that I would definitely stay here again. For a 5 day trip with the family on vacation where you are going out to dinner it works well but a resort with on site bar and restaurant would be better. My “ocean view” was technically there but we had a first floor garden view with a hint of ocean... for over 800.00 a night it was a disappointment. the coin operated safe in our room was a bit ridiculous and shows the date of the outfitting of the condo. Despite this I would stay here again but plan differently knowing what the condos have and what they are lacking.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: The size of the room was huge being a three bedroom! The full kitchen was nice to prepare breakfast, with all the pots pans plates and utensils readily available.
Cons: NOTHING!
9,3 Excellent
Pros: The location and the facilities were exceptional and the hotel staff was welcoming. The suite was big and well equipped. Overall, a comfortable place to be in.
Cons: The only drawback was non availability of a poolside Bar or Restaurant to get some coolers on a hot sunny day..
9,3 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Clean accommodation. Staff friendly. Services well maintained.
Cons: Price point was higher than it should have been based on accommodation and type of property.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the place and the view. It was perfect to relax in on the back end of our trip. I highly recommend it.
Cons: The apt had stairs which you had to be careful about.
7,5 Good
Pros: Location on beach was great
Cons: Noosy. Hotel next door had some construction going on and heard back up beeping of trucks all day starting around 6 am. Hotel staff very unhelpful when I mentioned it. Woke up kids / family every morning and couldn’t really relax in condo during day

Pros: Spaciousness
Cons: No bar

2,0 Mediocre
Cons: I booked the hotel room, paid for it, and when I showed up they told me I wasn't in the system and I couldn't stay there. What?!! Terrible front desk person who wouldn't let me stay at the hotel even though I showed her my receipt of payment for the room. Never again. I would not recommend this place unless you're sure they will give you your room.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Elegant service, warm staff, Hawaiian cultural programs, horticultural tour
Cons: Restaurant staff seemed hastled
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Awesome location, very friendly staff!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The Napili Kai is a little slice of Heaven! We have been there twice and love it even more each time we visit. It’s a traditional Hawaiian-style property—absolutely gorgeous! Staff is amazing.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent family atmosphere with very friendly and accommodating staff. The grounds are kept beautifully and there are many activities to keep every one busy. Wonderful beach. Multiple pools. The Keiki hula show is a must see (free to hotel guests).
8,8 Excellent
Pros: We loved the location of this hotel on the cove. It was great to have breakfast each morning right on the beach and look out over the ocean. There were plenty of other hotels and restaurants nearby to try as well. Our room was spacious and we liked our kitchenette.
Cons: We only had a view of the ocean when we went out onto the balcony - nothing could be seen from inside the room. Next time I might choose a room a bit further away from the beach but one more directly facing the water so I can enjoy the views even more.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: The beach, view from our room and overall environment were all great. Snorkeling was great. Definitely worth the cost our family loved our stay.
8,0 Excellent
Cons: Need to update the interior and mattress.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was wonderful-especially Lorene and her staff. Consierge was great. They helped me spoil my daughter on her bday!
Cons: The only change would be to do a few more options for dinner.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: We loved the room where we stayed. It was extremely nice and comfortable. The view from the room was awesome as well. We could see the as we overlooked the miniature golf course.
Cons: Our introduction could have been better. Our friends were given the rundown of the entire property during their check-in. We were merely told where our rooms were. Also, once we reached our room, the parking was limited so I had to carry two 45 lb suitcases up two flights of stairs. I was really irritated but forgot about it once I saw the room. Also, the ceiling was really dirty/stained. Looked as if someone splashed a dark soda all over it.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the room and the amenities. The rooms were just fantastic. They were very clean, and strategically located to provide a good view.
Cons: I did not like that I had to carry two very heavy suitcases up the steps. I did not realize I was going to have to do that until I got to the steps and there was nowhere else to go. I cannot believe they did not have or offer this assistance. I did not take points away because everything else was so great. But keep this in mind if you are 55 plus years old and plan on being there for a while and as a result, have a 48lb suitcase.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The swimming was fantastic and the staff are very nice and accommodating. This is an old fashion family resort in the best sense of the word. People go to bed early get up early and enjoy them selves.
Cons: It is expensive and the accommodations particularly luxurious, given the price. You were paying for the location which is surely one of the best speeches I’ve ever seen him i it is expensive and the accommodations particularly luxurious, given the price. You were paying for the location which is surely one of the best speeches I’ve ever seen.

9,5 Excellent
Pros: Like the location, view, how it was a quiet place to stay.
Cons: Wish it had a food/drink area by the pool.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Location, pool and hot tub.
Cons: Mattress not comfortable... could have put king beds instead of queen in rooms.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Loved the neighborhood setting; no row after row of huge hotels. Parking and facilities ingress and egress were easily accessible....very cool! Rooms were spotless. Staff was very friendly. Views, both mountain and ocean, were breathtaking........sunsets, sunsets, sunsets.......spectacular!
Cons: A working TV would have made the infrequent in-room expérience better. “No signal” was all that was ever displayed on the screen. When I mentioned the problem to the desk clerk, he indicated that others had also complained. Come on Lahaina Shores, this IS the entertainment/information age.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The location was very convenient to the shopping and dinning in downtown Lahaina. Everything is within a few blocks.
Cons: The beachfront is not really a good swimming beach. It is a little too rocky in areas.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I got an ocean view room, and it didn;t let me down. The view was amazing! The room was kept very clean, and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay.
Cons: Maybe provide beach chairs, umbrella and snorkling equipment, at no charge, for people the reserve a premium room.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Check in staff really helpful, location was good. It was nice to look out over the ocean.
Cons: Only smallish double bed, plenty of room for a King (which is kind of standard these days). No breakfast option.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely loved our 5 day stay at Lahaina Shores. We enjoyed a mountain view room on the 5th floor. The room was super clean and seemed to have been recently remodeled/updated. Nice tile throughout and granite countertops in kitchen and bathroom. We used our kitchen to cook breakfasts and found it to be well equipped. Coffee was provided in the room (enough to make a small pot). Pool/lawn was great for relaxing and enjoying the oceanfront. Beach outside the grounds is great for a quick swim even though it is a bit rocky (sandy shores but rocky a little further out). Great location and was a short walk into downtown Lahaina for shops and restaurants. Quiet and peaceful atmosphere and never felt crowded even though the place was full. Would highly recommend and hope to return eventually for another stay.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I loved that it was an older, quaint hotel in a small town that hasn’t changed much over the years. Plenty to do and see. We stayed on the side with ocean views so we listened to the waves crashing every night to send us off to sleep. If you are old school and want to avoid the glitz and glam of the chain hotels, this is the place! AND there was never a wait for elevators!!❤️
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I loved how well we were greeted and taken care of, especially considering we had to lose a night there due to the brush fires by OGG.
Cons: No complaints.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location. Nice short walk to town with plenty of dinner options
6,7 Good
Pros: Great location and nice facilities for the money
Cons: The restaurant next door was very noisy at night as they had evening shows that lasted quite late
6,7 Good
Pros: good location and room size for the price
Cons: very dark lobby. looks gloomy
7,3 Good
Pros: Location and price
Cons: electrical outlet next to sink did not work.
5,3 Okay
Pros: Reasonable location, a small pleasant walk to the main shopping area. Value for money given the cost of many places in Maui
Cons: The beach at the front of the property is poor, and as we didnt have a car the nearest decent beach was a 30 min walk away. The pool at the resort is small. The room was clean but kitchen fittings were dated.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: excellent beach front location. easy walk into lahaina town. clean, comfortable, well decorated, friendly staff.
6,7 Good
Pros: Big rooms with amazing view! Good price!
Cons: Some of the staff seemed a bit lazy and not what you expected others were really good.
7,3 Good
Pros: Very nice staff, very close proximity to the beach, very clean, beautiful decor
Cons: No free internet (also no wireless internet) available; Internet use added $10 per day to the cost and in this day and age Hotels should have wireless for free. I travel a lot, work online and had to do work, though technically on holidays...almost every hotel I stay has free wireless, Lahaina shores does not! It maybe the only reason not to come back as I loved everything else.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hotel. We liked the stay, it is a beautiful there!
Cons: The beach near the hotel was not very good.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: we enjoyed it very much - the bonus was being at the beach and listening to the waves hit the beach.

Pros: ;l like the pool area and the service at the restaurants and the friendly Bar. Marriott attracts a nice class of people they keep their property clean at all times. Years ago they had a sushi restaurant on upper level first floor that was great. We are still missing a top notch restaurant.American Italian Mexican , look at Whalers village why do we have to leave the premises we should have fine dining right on the premises. Some MARRIOTTS have great restaurant like the one in Florida resort hotel we always stay there when ever we take our yearly cruise to the islands . ANTON

Pros: Comfortable room. Wonderful staff. Convenient location. Starbucks by the Sea. nice fitness center Speedy elevators
Cons: Lack of a full kitchen and washer-dryer. Crowded pool (but it was a holiday week, so that is to be expected). Parking is difficult. Beach was rocky and not good for swimming. The pool bar closes at 7 pm. Why so early?

Pros: As always its very family friendly that accommodates the entire family. Lot of kids activities for all ages and the many pools makes it fun for all to pool hop within the same resort. Staff are always showing Aloha and the bbq grills are nice to have. Ocean front property and the beach is beautiful with a beach walk to the end of resorts.
Cons: No complaints

Cons: Pretty expensive for what you get, but I guess that’s the location in general.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I liked & enjoyed the amenities/optional daily activities that were offered throughout my 7 day stay. The staff showed their warm aloha with their cordial greetings and helpful assistance, including providing SUV or golf cart transport offered for people like me who can’t walk long distance without assistance.
Cons: The excessively long walkways in front of the rooms need somewhere to sit down for us that are elderly and tire easily while carrying our heavy bags to and from our room when we are walking to the pool area, lobby and main entrance. There are many chairs and benches on the lobby level and pool areas which are much appreciated!

Pros: Would be 100% satisfied if it were not for the repair work!
Cons: The room cost $ 700 a day, but it was impossible to stay in it, there was a repair next door. The hotel did not bother to warn about the repair in advance. Every morning from 9.00, they were forced to wake up from a knock of a hammer and a drill's buzz.

Pros: Nothing bad customer service.
Cons: Bad customer service. Dated rooms.

Pros: Excellent location Nice, clean room Beautiful colonial style home Excellent swimming pool and it is possible to have breakfast by the pool Staff very nice and helpful (e.g. we were allowed to share big portion of granola)
Cons: We received an upgrade, which was great. Unfortunately, our room was just above the hotel and on the first night they had a large and boisterous party so we didn't get to sleep until 2 a.m. This did not happen again after the first night. Bathroom could do with being renovated (low bath). Why not place a hospitality tray in the room (tea and coffee making facilities). We couldn't believe this was not provided
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Included breakfast was excellent with unexpected choices like Croque Monsieur and eggs Florentine. The pool was nice and relaxing after a hot day. The location ws close to most of the activities on Front Street, and the free parking was an advantage.
Cons: Not sure unless lower prices, but they were already good for the area.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very nice and the room was well-lit, large, and cool with the A/C. The pool area was secluded from the street and quiet thanks to the child-free policy. Overall, a great experience.
Cons: Could be slightly cheaper.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is very attractive, the facilities good and the staff very helpful and friendly. The restaurant menu looked great but unfortunately, we'd already sampled so much of Maui's gastronomy that we were unable to manage a three-course meal that night! Breakfast was lovely by the pool with a good choice of tasty food.
Cons: The only problem we found was that there's no lift/elevator to the bedrooms. I had a heavy case as well as my flight carry-on and found lugging both upstairs a bit of a challenge. As no-one was in the restaurant at the time we checked in, it was suggested that we take our cases up the stairs there rather than the outside stairs. Once I saw the outside stairs I knew that it would have been almost impossible for me to have pulled my heavy case up them. Although the Plantation Inn looks as if it had been built in the 1800's and therefore would not have been built with an elevator, it was actually built in 1987 by Canadian businessmen and the provision of said elevator could certainly have been included. However, that apart, it is a lovely hotel in a perfect location for exploring the delights of Lahaina and I would definitely recommend it!

Pros: The inn had nice charm and furnishings. The front desk staff is friendly. Free sit down breakfast is provided - includes French toast, fresh fruit, juice, eggs Florentine, American breakfast, etc. Good location in relation to the touristy area of Lahaina.
Cons: The hotel had a restaurant on the first floor. Don't expect to get a quiet night's rest if you go to sleep before 9 pm.

Pros: We were greeted by the friendliest staff. The hotel was beautiful and our room was perfect for the price. Even the wallpaper in the hallway caught my eye. WONDERFUL place to stay!

Pros: We LOVED staying at The Plantation Inn in Lahaina, Maui. The staff were super friendly, readily available and professional. Special shoutout to Regina who checked us in and out - she was personable and fun to chat with. When we walked into our room there was a free bottle of champagne waiting for us to help us celebrate our honeymoon - SO SWEET! Our room was big, bright and ACed. The location of the Plantation Inn cannot be beat if you want to explore Lahaina or West Maui. Walkable to all the shops and restaurants in Lahaina and easy access to Rt 30 that takes you up and down the coast. The free breakfasts were delicious and a lovely way to start our days of adventure. There was also a washer and drier so we could wash our clothes halfway through our trip. Great place to stay - would stay here again.

Pros: Absolutely loved our stay at the Old Lahaina House! We stayed in the Pineapple room and it was perfect - the host were lovely and provided us with everything we needed. We hired a car for the four days that we were in Maui and had no issues when it came to finding a park at the property - plenty of parking in front of the house and on the street. One of the things that we particularly loved about our stay was being able to lend beach equipment such as chairs, pool bags, and beach towels.
Cons: Nothing!

Pros: We spent 7 nights at Old Lahaina House and absolutely loved it. Sherry and her family are fantastic hosts. We felt very welcomed and comfortable, very much enjoyed the grilling possibilities in the garden and the access to the beach just over the street.

Pros: I liked waking up in the morning! The property is set back, surrounded by plenty of vegetation and that is accordingly visited by birds of all creeds. It is a beautiful cacophony of competing calls that awakes you...
Cons: Nothing I didn't like here. I was tempted to jump into the pool from my terrace but it wasn't quite deep enough at my end..

Pros: The house is located very close to Lahaina downtown. The owners are super sweet and make you feel at home! The beach is a minute away. You can also borrow snorkel gear and beach chairs which makes it super convenient to go on beach outings. The room was very pretty as well :) Will definitely come back next time we are in Maui.

Hugging a quiet stretch of golden sand, Aston Mahana at Kaanapali is a tranquil tropical retreat that takes full advantage of its beautiful Kaanapali Beach setting. Designed with floor-to-ceiling windows and a private lanai (balcony), all oceanfront studios and suites make you feel as if you’re floating above the Pacific.
7,0 Good
Pros: Pros: The location on the 10th floor Ocean front was really amazing. It almost made us dizzy to be so close to the ocean. When you look out the window, it feels like you are on a cruise ship. Kitchen was pretty well stocked. Master king bed was comfortable.
Cons: Cons: Unfortunately, my daughter left her wallet out on the kitchen counter and had $200 stolen and a bunch of gift cards. It was a real bummer to say the least. I guess you really should use the safe. The kitchen was well-stocked but some items can use some upgrades. The foldout was not very comfortable.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The best ocean front views, pretty close walk to the supermarket market, a few restaurants and a swimming beach. There is also access to a tennis court and DVD rentals.
Cons: Maybe not the best location for people who aren’t hiring a car, although it’s do able.
9,7 Excellent
Pros: The views here are world class. If I was a troll, I would have posted "1 star, ocean is too loud, couldn't sleep", but honestly, it's been such a dream spot. Plenty to do right here, and not a far drive from the rest.
9,3 Excellent
Cons: Old wobbly beds
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed to the Mahana to celebrate our 18th wedding anniversary, without kids. The staff was very helpful throughout the week. Upon check-in, they gifted us chocolates and a bottle of wine for our anniversary. A very sweet touch! Our condo was beautiful with a full size kitchen. Coffee and toiletry amenities included. Daily maid service was awesome. Loved having a washer and dryer in the condo. Beautiful views out of the floor to ceiling windows in the living room, bedroom, and lanai. Pool area was very nice (not too crowded) and everything is within walking distance! Saw sea turtles from our lanai. There are no other properties so close to the ocean.
Cons: Nothing- We will bring the whole family next time.
7,0 Good
Pros: The ocean views from the top floor of the lanai tower, pool and beach
Cons: Staff and information provided to us. We were greeted ok, but because of wrong information about the restaurant (where we were told its open till 10 and when we went there they told us its open 7-9)we missed dinner and the supermarket was our saviour..
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the private location away from the crowded beach resort hotels, the comfort of being home away from home. The pool side was never busy or overcrowded. A lot of space for us in our accomodation, loved the sound of the ocean, loved the barbecue facilities. The two bedroom ocean front was breathtaking, lovely views and lovely stay.
Cons: Didn't like that bedsheets were only changed every four days.
6,8 Good
Pros: The location was great with wonderful views. The staff was also extremely friendly and helpful
Cons: Our room (516) was really dusty, there were stains on the box spring of the bed and the bed itself was terribly uncomfortable.
7,0 Good
Pros: The location is really quite good. Central to Kaanapali and close enough to Lahaina to be convenient. The view from the lanai couldn't have been better. Full ocean front (as advertised). Spent far too much time, sitting on the lanai, admiring the water, staring at the waves. Spotted a school of dolphins, a honu. Saw many sailboats, awesome sunsets. Parking is plentiful and free. The pool is very nice, the Mahana provides towels and there are plenty of lounges around the pool. The appliances in the unit we rented (#801) were high-end and the manuals conveniently provided. The bed in the master gave me the best nights' sleep I've had in ages. It is outstanding,
Cons: As good as the mattress is, the pillows were terrible. There were no blackout shades or anything on the windows in the smaller bedroom to block the sun and it came in bright and early. The beach in front of the Mahana is terrible--it's narrow, bad shorebreak, rough and rocky bottom. More than once, we came back to find out that housekeeping had failed to make up the room while we were out. We had no made beds, no clean towels. There is no gym--not important to me, but it was to someone else in my group. This person had to hike over to Kaanapali Shores daily and pay a fee to use their facilities.
7,0 Good
Pros: Location, the view an quiet
Cons: Only thing I can say is the condo we were staying at is starting to show it’s age, and I know I stayed here 31!yrs ago , lol but not terrible
4,5 Okay
Pros: Great views of the beach.
Cons: Cleaning staff do the room cleaning well if you have tipped them well in advance. We did when we arrived, so the first lady did an excellent job, as once we go to beach there is bound to have traces of sand etc in the room. The second half of our 8 night stay, another gentleman was cleaning- and he didn’t change the bed sheets, didn’t clean the floor, sand was still there. ( not sure if it was because we didn’t tip him in advance) Jacuzzi was not working with the right temperature for 5 days, and it took a long time for the hotel management to fix it.

Cons: This place should not be chosen in summers even if is offered for free. I had read reviews that it is horrible in summers because there is no AC, but read a response saying AC is not needed due to the ocean breeze. AC is definitely needed. The place had dust here and there and had red ants (or im not sure what those creatures were) in the kitchen. Before arrival, Debbie kept changing our room repeatedly to give better rooms (if there are any, which I doubt) to her old customers maybe, and finally gave us the room right in front of the shared pool. There was absolutely no privacy, it was very noisy all the time. She was very cold and plastic, and did not care much. Not coming back here.

Pros: The place was amazing. Exceeds expectations especially for its price. Very clean, friendly staff, good location. There is a beach right in front (the oceanfront View is amazing! And we saw turtles!)

Pros: Leaving!
Cons: NO A/C, Don't even listen to the tradewinds BS this place is a sweat house with old kitchen appliances. It really depends on how you normally live and what amenities you are used to having and I messed up big time!

Cons: The elevator was a single that was slow with same elevator used by staff for bedding etc.

Pros: We had a really great stay here. The room was very clean, nice, with a lot of light. Ocean view was amazing! 1) A kitchen had everything you need - all the supplies, all the small appliances. 2) The beach was really great, near the pool.
Cons: The only thing that we didn't like - we had ants in our kitchen from the first day. In their "welcome papers" it was stated that you could call reception to solve this issue. However we didn't want to risk as we had a small baby with us. Another issue - they blocked a 100$ deposit. It wasn't a big problem but it would be nice to know this in advance. There was no information about deposit in their description.

Pros: They had a full size refrigerator, full size stove and oven and a dishwasher and the kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, knives, silverware, toaster, electric skillet, coffee maker, cutting boards, etc.. More than any other hotel or condo I've ever been to. Theres bbqs there too. I would highly recommend this place if you want all that. It had a great living room with dining table and a table outside too. Very nice. The beach right there is real nice I think and I've been to many...short..but not that crowded and great swimming. The pool is oceanfront too. The beach, Napili Bay is not directly out front., it's right next door. All beaches in Hawaii are accessible by everyone.. Theres rocks out front but pretty and has sea turtles. Check in is at 3 p.m. instead of the usual 4 p.m....liked that too. Bedroom was nice size.
Cons: There was no A/C in our room, but if you turned on the ceiling fans and opened screen doors there was a nice breeze all night, so it was perfect the night we stayed there. People have said the walls are thin...but its fine.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the gorgeous grounds, the perfect location perched between a soft golden sand beach and a wonderful turtle cove for snorkelling. We loved the awesome staff from the front desk to housekeeping, both the restaurants and even Connie at the dive shop. Everyone was so nice and helpful and made us feel like ohana! Our condo was very nice, nicer than expected! It was a wonderful surprise to have air conditioning and modern updates. Our view was spectacular too! From our lanai we had a view of the bluest ocean and Molokai straight ahead and to our right we had a view of Napili Cove. We enjoyed both restaurants. We hope to be back!
Cons: It's hard to find anything negative. The pool loungers could maybe be upgraded a little, but it was perfectly enjoyable.

Pros: Charming building and nice room in the old part of Lahaina. Great atmosphere and location. Enjoyed their balcony with rocking chairs and free parking.
Cons: No recycling system(!) Air-con is very loud and a bit of a funky smell in the room.
7,5 Good
Pros: Comfortable beds with A/C. nicely renovated but small room for a “suite.” Great location right in Lahaina.
Cons: We were put in the corner room facing all the bars. Even with windows and doors closed it was extremely noisy til 3 a.m. Had just arrived from long flight and didn’t sleep. Staff should have warned us knowing this is a regular nightly issue. Also no workspace in the room and we had the suite. Photos on booking.com do not match what we got. Shows a large room with a table and 4 chairs and a work desk. Ours was very small room with only space for bed and a chair and small side table. Pointed this out and staff said we did have a “suite” because we had a large porch (???). Said it was a problem with booking.com that the photos were wrong. Isn’t it the hotel’s responsibility to ensure the accuracy of the photos?

Cons: When reporting problem to the front desk the host was kind/courteous stating we would hear from hotel management. To this date, a week later, we've heard nothing. No email of apologies or even awarding any points, as host said was the typical practice.

Pros: The location was terrific and the service was excellent! It exceeded my expectations on what a resort could be. The only thing that I would say would hold me back from going again was the price of items. Be prepared to pay eight bucks for a beer.
Cons: Price of items and paying to park each day.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Unique experience with exotic birds on-site. Loved the 24 he access pools. Staff incredibly friendly and always there to help.
Cons: Originally chose for the swim up pool bar, but the hours were only 11am to 5pm, so we never saw it open due to schedule. Big disappointment, but we were happy with other amenities.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: Staffs were amazing, always with a smile. Close to shopping center which was a plus. My room was always clean ontime. Great service by the pool, lots of chairs and towels available..My family and I had a great time
Cons: Only 2 restaurants on site and they are extremely pricey
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel has a very nice view of the ocean and nice lobby . There is a seating area at the lobby where you can face the ocean and also take pictures
Cons: House keeping were late in cleaning the rooms due to busy season and the cleaning itself could have been better
9,3 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast buffet was delicious with a great amount of variety, even for someone looking for gluten free. We ate dinner at the japanese restaurant which had a fabulous view (we didn't even have reservations) and the sushi rolls excellent. The various bird species on the premises made the property seem more special. And being able to get a wrist band which enables a guest to utilize the pool facilities at both Hyatt Regency and Hyatt Residence gave twice the amount of swimming, water slide, relaxation choices.
Cons: It was disappointing that nearly all poolside lounges are taken up by 7:00 am at the Hyatt Regency. And there seems to be very little shade at this property. However, there were many empty lounge chairs at the Hyatt Residence and these lounges provided much more shade. Just a minor inconvenience to walk there, but very do-able.

Pros: A wonderful resort - we stayed here on our Honeymoon and loved it! Days by the pool were fabulous - they have an adults only pool too and there were plenty of sun loungers and a great atmosphere! Fab bar choice and happy hours starting at 11am! Japengo was wonderful. The location is fabulous and you can walk down the beach path to other resorts and restaurants if you wish (we only left three times in 9 days!!) You can book all your tours here too. Really enjoyed our stay!
Cons: Rooms are a little dated but not a problem at all - they were clean. We went to the steakhouse one night and were not that impressed (much preferred the pool restaurants and Japengo). Buffet breakfast was not that impressive either but there are plenty of coffee shops and other options which we preferred so this wasn't a problem and we only did the buffet once.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: Staff was great, service was quick.
Cons: Need an adults only pool, lots of families/kids running around.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The location
Cons: The mattress was a bit soft and people seemed to place their towels on lounges around the pool to reserve then but would either not come back for hours if at all.
5,5 Okay
Pros: The Pool and grounds were very nice. Very kid friendly.
Cons: Very expensive for small outdated rooms. Not worth the money. The suite was very tiny. Supposed to be two rooms, but only one sink. The accommodations weren’t comfortable and we paid almost $900/ night.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very beautiful hotel, the pool is amazing, we loved the open lobby with the penguins.
Cons: The beach is a bit narrow and it’s not easy to swim because of the rocks.

Pros: Everything was great!
8,0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the location, the stores were close by and many restaraunts
Cons: We didn't like that even though we booked and paid for the hotel they made a big deal about seeing the credit card that we paid with, it had been compromised and we closed the account. They were very rude in dealing with this situation.
6,3 Good
Pros: Location was great! Access to City bus was easy from here. Pool was great! Happy hour was good.
Cons: Room would have been okay but we killed three roaches! If we were staying more nights I would have requested another room! All rooms should be sprayed for Roaches on a regular basis!
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The bed and pool facilities
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Juanita at the front desk was fabulous! She even knows what "kulolo" is! She was wonderful to work with and I highly recommend other guests ask for her. The guys at the front drive-up were all wonderful as well. They were so helpful and kind. Everyone on staff was just great! Mahalo nui loa!
Cons: The only thing I was a "bit" (and it only was a bit) disappointed was I wish we had more of a beach. I see that the beach has eroded and there's not much the hotel can do about that but otherwise, the hotel/resort was a wonderful place to stay and we will definitely recommend it to our O'Hana. BTW, my sister's name is Lokelani which I found the "Lokelani" plaque in the lobby just as we were leaving. Mahalo nui loa and A Hui Hou!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel for the price. Very nice, large pool and spa. Pool side restaurant and bar is great. Staff is very welcoming and friendly. Less crowded than resorts closer to Kaanapali. Would definitely stay here again.
Cons: Small beach access area was nice but part of it is under renovation. Water isn’t as clear blue as other beaches near by.
4,0 Okay
Pros: reasonable price, nicely furnished
Cons: too much construction. room smelled badly like mildew every time you go in the door. no access to beach. I wasn't aware it was a timeshare

Pros: Hotel was beautiful and location was stunning
Cons: N/A
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Location of the resort; value for money; and overall cleanliness of the resort.
Cons: Being pressured and harassed about time share. I had to call management to stop the phone calls. Only clean the rooms one day per week. The rooms should be cleaned more often. Closing the pool for one day due to a child not wearing a swimmer and having an accident in the pool.
3,3 Mediocre
Pros: I really enjoyed paying thousands of dollars for sub-par accommodations.
Cons: There were roaches and bugs in our room even after the room was sprayed. Customer service was terrible and waiters were rude. The concierge was useless. They were only interested in selling you a time share. They conveniently leave out the fact that there is no longer a beach on the property.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Need some beach.

6,3 Good
Pros: The restaurant was okay and the location
Cons: It is old and it shows. They didn’t give us nice rooms and we had to switch. It didn’t feel like a resort, more like a motel.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Location by beach.
Cons: Lunch had very slow service. Bed frames six inches longer than mattresses so you bruise your shins on oversized wooden frames.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: The staff was friendly and very helpful. The hotel food was awesome!
Cons: The bathrooms were outdated.
7,0 Good
Pros: Scrambled eggs were exceptional
Cons: I requested two rooms with two double beds, when I booked and I called the property directly. We were told the bed configuration was only available for one of our rooms, and we could have secured our request by paying more money when we booked. No one told us this prior to our arrival.
6,8 Good
Pros: Happy hour drink and food was great and delicious. Grounds were nice. Beach was great.
Cons: I booked a room with an ocean view. When I got to the first room you can not see the ocean from inside the room. I could only see it from one side of the balcony. I am pretty sure I booked an ocean view room, not an ocean balcony. They moved me to the other side of the building. Now I had a view of the parking lot and a building out front where I could see ocean on either side. They told me I should have booked Ocean front but this is not a clear option on booking.com and I guess I don't know the lingo. In my opinion both these rooms were partial view. Because a view is important to me, I would not stay here again. For the price I would stay at a vrbo with ocean "front". Also the bed frame sticks out from the mattress and all 4 of us banged up our shins.

Pros: Staff was nice
Cons: Rooms are really small!!!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in Lahaina for only one night before moving to Kihei for work. After driving around much of the island the rest of the week, all I wanted was to go back to Lahaina! The resort is small, which is the best part. The beach in front of the property is my favorite beach from the trip- it’s calm and BEAUTIFUL. Loved the overall Hawaiian vibe that Royal Lahaina has. The rooms aren’t brand new and flashy, which I liked. They are nice, clean, comfortable and have awesome lanais.
8,0 Excellent
Cons: The bed was uncomfortable and the room was quite old. But over all nicely maintained despite that, facilities were amazing.
7,5 Good
Pros: Location and the beach was perfect for the kids.

Cons: There is nothing about this resort that you would not like.

9,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff and food excellent. The grounds very pretty and maintained well
Cons: The cottage we rented was about the level of an old motel 6. The room was worth maybe $--- a night. Paint was peeling , fixtures rusting and falling a part. Bathroom looked old. No remodeling done for over 20 years or more. Not worth the $---- price paid.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location Close to the beach, shops and only 5 min. Drive from airport.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Our one bedroom was a good size.
Cons: There is no beach. The little strip of sand by the water isn’t much of a beach. I also hated the bed. I haven’t slept all week because this bed is super hard and uncomfortable.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel. We ate across the street in a cafe -- it was AMAZING!!! Nice options nearby for grabbing a bite to eat (strip mall across the street). We loved that the pools and beach weren't crowded. Very relaxed atmosphere! Also loved having laundry in our room -- was so nice!
Cons: Maybe longer night hours for the pool
9,7 Excellent
Cons: We paid for an ocean view but only could see from our lanai.
7,5 Good
Pros: The hotel staff are very friendly and responsive to requests. The hotel contains both private and hotel rooms and on arrival we were checked into a room next to a privately owned one. There was excessive noise coming from the privately owned room as they were renovating so that staff shifted us without hesitation. The hotel is located in a great location, close to some great restaurants and a short walk to the more extensive beaches towards Black Point. The rooms are quite dated and would benefit from new paint and some updated furnishings, but in reality when in Hawaii you spend all your time in the sun.
Cons: We ate at the hotel restaurant twice times during our stay. The food was not memorable and the Pina Colada was served in a glass more suited to a milkshake. There are some great restaurants nearby and also the lot next to the restaurant has a handful of great food trucks. Unfortunately due to bad storms in recent years the beach has suffered and you cannot walk along the beach from the hotel to towards Black Point due to erosion.
7,0 Good
Cons: I was disappointed with the bed comfort. The bed was not firm and uncomfortable. Neither of the table lamps lighted as well as the tall lamp. The carpet needs deep cleaning!
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Location to beach was great. This place also has a great pool and kitchenette. Great for families.
8,0 Excellent
Cons: Problems with patio door, closet door would not close and I reported it never fixed and inside kitchen cabinets were dirty inside and never cleaned also reported
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Great pool, food and location
Cons: Beds were hard
5,0 Okay
Pros: It was a very roomy suite fully furnished for a good price relative to other Maui hotels.
Cons: It took me 3 full days to get them to fix the air conditioning even though I was telling them what the issue was (magnets that have to be lined up) and it had to run constantly to get to the temp I wanted. Also had ants that were promptly taken care of.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Right one the beach Staff was great anything I called down for they would bring up.
Cons: Not that too many food choices. But I’m kinda a picky eater too so. If I’m picking things. Not enough pots n pans but that’s it little things.
