Vilnius Hostels

Pros: Clean. Good location. Uncomplicated.

Cons: Reception lacked anything remotely verging on enthusiasm. Can't say I felt I was being particularly heartily welcomed.

Pros: The location is great

Cons: The bathroom on the 3rd floor is very small, the lockers are tiny, you won't fit a suitcase in there

Pros: Location is great, and easy to access.

Cons: No atmosphere at all. No welcoming staff that gives tips on the city, or even says hi. Very outdated and bad taken care off bathrooms, and very thin mattresses. You go to hostels to have a lively and cozy atmosphere. None of that can be found here.

Pros: The room was spacious, there was enough room for the luggage. The bed was comfortable. The staff were really friendly when they were there. Unfortunately they weren't at the Hostel a lot.

Cons: There were only two showers for the two dorms on my floor. Luckily I woke up earlier to take a shower. I didn't really see the bathroom being cleaned during my stay, not so sure how they manage this.

Pros: Hostel was warm and clean. Staff were very helpful with excellent communication before and during my stay. The location is a few minutes from the main cathedral and other main attractions.

Cons: Nothing

Pros: The position and the fact that this hostel looks nice from the inside and from the outside it is immediately recognizable.

Cons: The staff was in many occasions absent. People didn't greet, they didn't show me around when I checked in but they just said "that's your key and there's your room" pointing at it. If I would have had problems I probably wouldn't have found them. Furthermore, the room smelled of penis/high concentration of CO2 because you couldn't open the window and there was no aeration.

Pros: It's really a very nice small cozy hostel with clean comfy rooms and common areas. There are restaurants and cafes around, so it won't be a problem to find a place to eat. There are also bus stops near by if you decide to go outside of the Old Town.

Cons: The door of the room #1 on the second floor closes with a very loud groan. However staff decided just to put a note on the door asking not to close it completely instead of actually fixing it.

Pros: good hostel

Cons: I'm asked to pay 2 euro as tax or whatever, which I don't feel good, although it was nothing

Pros: Very good hostel I truly recommend to stay in while in Vilnius. Perfect location at the entrance to the old city and less than 100 meters from the tourist information. Close to atractions but also to the park, so it's nice and quiet. Friendly staff, all information provided before the arrival, spacoius and not overcrowded rooms, modern and clean bathrooms. Towel included.

Pros: Great location and super nice stuff!

Pros: The staffs are so kind and politely , they always helped me. Kitchen was so clear.

Pros: I really liked that everything was clean and comfy. People that stayed in hostel at the time were so nice, I found new friends.

Pros: Nothing. However the location was very central.

Cons: This was terrible from the booking to the check-out. The place was very dirty and uncomfortable. There was huge 100L trash bags all over the common space (kitchen and chilling area). Some bedrooms didn't even have a door. The staff barely spoke english and even less lithuanian. They're all from Belarussia so none of them know Vilnius. They were not welcoming. Our room was not ready when we arrived in the evening. There was holes in the bedroom walls. The trash bin was full of dirty stuff. The window had shutters impossible to open so we couldn't even enjoy the view. They charged us extra money for city tax although it was included in the price. The elevator didn't work so you have to go up 5 floors to get there.

Pros: A proper hostel

Cons: No Lift, sometimes nobody on reception, hard to find.

Pros: The location was really central. The hostel was fine. I slept in a twin room. The shower(only one for all the guests) was not so clean, neither the toilet, but for 2 nights it's ok.

Pros: The staff were relatively friendly and the saving grace was the bed and pillow were comfortable. If it wasn't for these I would have moved hostels for the second night!

Cons: The hostel had moved premises and did not notify me until the morning of my check in. The place is still under construction and not complete. Upon check in I was shown one of two shower rooms (only one shower in working order on second day) with electrical wires hanging out of the socket and told "oh, don't touch those", as if that's alright. (Whether they be LIVE or not, electricians should never leave uncovered wires hanging out). There were no sinks installed in the shower room and therefore only one sink for all to use in the toilet room, where there is one male and one female toilet. Obviously the photos and reviews online are for the old hostel, so don't be fooled. Workman were working until just after 10pm at night, so it feels a bit like a construction zone. I certainly want happy paying €16 a night for a place that is not complete and not what is advertised on booking.com.

Pros: Location excellent. Good value . Helpful staff. Spacious room. Plenty of toilets & showers.

Cons: It was fine, but I would have been happy to share a female dorm - if there was one? I don't know - it's not mentioned on the site. It would be great to have that possibility. Please would all the hostels have a female dorm! ( I had a twin-bedded room).

Pros: Had large kitchen for do it yourself breakfast with people cooking their own foods... but did have coffee and tea. Also has a long porch.

Cons: There was nothing to not like. Going through the tunnel took you straight to the old town sites. Turning left after going through the tunnel took you direct to the train and bus depots. Excellent location.

Pros: Close to bus/railstation. Well kitchen

Cons: After checkout, sitting in restroom or make a cook in kitchen, it's not welcome

Pros: The room was very spacious. The fridge, microwave, kettle and sink were very handy. Very nice and helpful man at the reception.

Cons: The room smelled a bit damp. From the outside the house doesn't look very inviting, also it's close to the train tracks, so you can hear the trains passing. But otherwise it was quiet.

Pros: Shower & kitchen inside, the room was rather large.

Cons: Bed-clothes were synthetic and rather ancient.

Cons: Door had no lock. The place was very dirty

Pros: No parking fees. Location not far from the centre. Rooms were good. People working there were nice.
