Hotel's adjoining restaurant was brilliant!
Hotel seemed to be situated on a windy part of the coast Hotel was rated 4 star but was more of a 3 star Our friend's room had no hot water for 3 days Bathroom sinks had no plugs No information in rooms about the hotel's facilities No milk provided in the rooms for tea/ coffee You have to request a key from reception for the room safes, but nobody tells you that! Large outside area with a few sunbeds - had to complain that there was old and new dog/cat poo all over the astro-turf - disgusting!!
Casa Branca Hotel restaurant was super and amazing value. Really lovely food with seats looking out to ocean. Great service. Well worth a visit just for food, service and setting. Fab location, near the beach. Fine room with balcony and great view overlooking ocean and out to town. Interesting building. Great beach with comfortable cosy areas for hanging around. The rocks are amazing and actually and make dipping a lovely experience. Life guards present. Booked for one night and stayed for two. Would definitely visit again.
Was quite windy. Breakfast could be lots better but don't let that put you off and is no reflection on the Casa Branca restaurant. The coffee was OK.
the view the location the 0 flow interior near reception desk + the casa branca restaurant (if breakfast was there it would be great :P)
missing warm water + breakfast + many not used facilitiies potential (garden next to swimming pool, tarace with grass)
The location near the beach is nice but if you want to stay here to visit Porto, it’s 1.5 hours on foot or 20 Minutes by taxi. Breakfast is ok but simple. Rooms had a fantastic view on the ocean.
Airconditioning was not working and the lavatory was clogged. We mentioned it to the staff but they didn’t do anything to fix it. The spa is old and not well maintained just like the outside of the hotel. Also don’t forget to bring a swimming cap otherwise you’re not allowed to swim.
Location is great, staff are kind and friendly but look exhausted and frustrated with condition of hotel. Views from the suite - through the filthy window - were great.

The sauna and steam room (both in male and female changing rooms) were broken, and extraordinarily dirty. Breakfast: Very very basic, coffee poor, fruit was from a can, and extras such as hot food (bacon, eggs etc) were Bathroom: 1) Toilet broken and would not flush properly 2) Missing paintwork and sealant around the bath 3) Electric socket broken and unsafe Room: 1) All windows dirty and not cleaned for many years 2) Missing paintwork and mold on on the walls 3) Bedside lights that didn't work 4) Broken side-chair 5) No tea/coffee making facilities 6) Empty fridge/minibar 7) Very dirty ice box in fridge 8) No working safe deposit box 9) Air Conditioning not working at all 10) The corner-sofa area was very dirty and included a broken curtain 11) The balcony was dirty and unclean Spa: Completely broken - the swimming pool was cooler than the jacuzzi (also broken) and the sauna and steam room were broken and not cleaned.
