Pros: I stayed here twice during an 8-day visit to Laos…on arrival and on departure for a total of 5 nights. The location is the best possible, convenient to most things of interest in the central area of the capital. Staff is extremely accommodating and efficient, able to assist with day trips and make recommendations for things to do. Rooms are well-sized (I stayed in both a standard and a deluxe) and the location is also quiet for an excellent night’s sleep as it is off the major arteries. King-sized bed, very comfortable. Excellent breakfast, the Banana Crepes (included with buffet on order) are a highlight. Service includes both western and eastern selections which change daily. On site spa is very good value, most relaxing with a wide variety of treatments available in packages and a la carte. 4th floor lounge offers a sanctuary for down time with a library, bar, food ordering from the restaurant and an outside balcony with seating for watching the world go by. Elevator for the stairwell challenged. Airport shuttle is available @$10 (USD) ….Finally, something I have never before mentioned in a review, the hotel provides currency exchange at the ongoing banque rate, highly unusual, most convenient and not often found in the world of international travel. However be warned the “Kip” is a high fluctuating currency, by as much as 5% plus day to day. Therefore, the rate can at times lag (read lower exchange) and be less advantageous. On average however a very fair rate, an excellent service. Strong, effective, free Wi-fi. Most rooms have showers only, that are large with easy access (small curb), and a no-slip mat. No negatives for this property. Highly recommended.

Pros: Lovely hotel, decorated with Lao arts and crafts. The staff were very helpful and friendly (and spoke excellent English). The breakfast was amazing. I loved the bed, especially the down pillow. Even the view from our window - temple roofs and a coconut palm grove - was incredible. I was sorry we could only stay one night.

Cons: Very noisy in the rooms facing the pool. Wooden staircase outside room is very poorly constructed; every time anyone walked up and down the stairs we were woken up. At check in they assured us that the hotel was quiet. That was definitely NOT our experience. We checked out after 1 night or very poor sleep.

Pros: Normally you know exactly what you will get in an Ibishotel, but this time we got more! The staff is sooo friendly and helpful. Everyone speaks English. It was nice to see that regular guests received personal treatment, but also for us a lot of effort was made to make it to our liking. The room was excellent: a soft and very comfy matrass, a clean and well-appointed room, an excellent bathroom with a wonderful shower. Breakfast was not included and 10 $ per person is hearty. So we only had breakfast there 1 morning. Breakfast is a combination of a breakfast buffet with personal service, with very high-quality products and a wide choice. We will certainly stay here again the next time we are in Vientiane.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was great. We liked it a lot. The cleaners never bothered us at all but got the job done with no problems. No pool at the hotel but they said that one was available nearby. Good enough. We felt safe here.

Pros: I realize it's a budget hotel, but this was below all our expectations. The room was tiny. After opening our suitcases there wasn't any space left on the floor to walk around. There are no windows. It was very dirty The toilet was leaking. We asked for another room but it was actually worse than the first one. The breakfast was bad too.

Pros: Location is great, a few blocks from the heart of the riverfront. The staff were super accommodating, gave me late checkout and baggage storage and let me use their facilities throughout. Room was comfortable, modern, and clean. The breakfast was a full service Western and Asian buffet. What you get for your dollar at this hotel is pretty great
Cons: WiFi got knocked out for most of the night by a thunder storm, though it worked well before that

Pros: I realize it's a budget hotel, but this was below all our expectations. The room was tiny. After opening our suitcases there wasn't any space left on the floor to walk around. There are no windows. It was very dirty The toilet was leaking. We asked for another room but it was actually worse than the first one. The breakfast was bad too.

Pros: Location was good. Room without a window, which we already knew, but I guess you get what you pay for.
Cons: The bus that we booked through them was not the type of bus we booked. (was a sleeper bus instead of a normal sitting bus) and it dropped us off in a different town where we had to then get on a smaller mini bus. We didn't have to pay extra but seeing we were not aware of this and no one spoke english we didn't know what was going on. It would be nice if they explained it to us from the guesthouse.

Cons: Checkout time is a bit early (11:30), Check in time is 14:00, and not so much flexibility on either of them. All in all, it was ok for me. Might be a problem for other travellers. I still recommend this place.

Cons: Room had just a window to the corridor (I knew it before, so it doesnt influence my rating), which makes it easy to hear all your neighbours footsteps. If you dont buy a bus ticket, you will have to pay for leaving your luggage at the reception.
