Close to town attractions, nice pool area, helpful staff, undercover parking. Very good breakfast selection
The location was 10/10 The rooms were a design of old places antiques and it was very clean. Thank you!
Perfect spot, just off San Marco square. Basic room was quite small actually so I would pay a little more; it's probably worth it. But we were only there one night.
The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean, the service is good, but the location is OUTSTANDING for a visit to Venice. It is hard to overstate how difficult it is to get around Venice on foot as an American traveler without a cell phone. It is extremely difficult to get a good map of the streets and the canals. If you have a European cell phone, you can use Google Maps, and that's what EU visitors do, but without Google Maps, you have to rely on the maps you can buy, and the overwhelming majority of them are drawn at a scale (5,500:1 or greater) that makes representations of the narrow streets and canals misleading. Ambassador Tre Rose and its partner hotel, Albergo San Marco (the main location 50 meters away where you will handle check-in and eat breakfast), are both immediately next to Piazza San Marco, an ideal location for a tourist to stay in. But they are also both on Calle dei Fabbri. This is important because Calle dei Fabbri offers the absolutely shortest and least complicated walking route from St. Mark's Square to the Rialto. It's a dead-straight shot down Calle dei Fabbri and over a couple of canal bridges through a name change to Calle Bembo and the Rialto area. I booked the wrong dates and the staff accommodated us in peak season. On that front, I certainly couldn't ask for more. I've eaten at better breakfast spreads, but it's what I expected to find in a 3-star Venetian hotel. The Wi-Fi was fine for streaming.
It's an older hotel in an older building in Venice, a city that is sinking and inevitably falling apart but by bit as the years go. Not everything is going to work perfectly at any location like this one in this city. The hotel is showing its age and faded grandeur.
very friendly, luggage storage available free of charge
