Located in Riventosa, Villa Praesidio is a 1-minute drive from Punta Di Ciaccone and 5 minutes from Punta Di Capezzolo. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk and multilingual staff. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: We loved absolutely everything about this place. The chalet was well equiped, wi-fi worked well, parking was available, the location is good - trust me, you will not want to go anywhere except of the comfy bed :) I loved the style, you could see that someone really took care about every small detail to make guests feel really comfortable. Speaking about the cleanliness, I can’t omit how good the towells smelled. The breakfast were served directly to our chalet. Seriously, every single detail was so much over our expectations and plus it was enviro-friendly. I appreciate how organized and friendly the owner was. He (and his wife?) are doing really excellent job. If possible, I would rate it 100/10p. Honestly, I felt like a princess surrounded by a breathtaking nature and would recommend this place to everyone.
Cons: I seriously didn’t like the fact that we have to leave and was really disappointed that we didn’t book more nights there
Pros: Very cozy room with a cool interior
Cons: Owner is very polite but often away because it is such small place
Pros: We chose Villa Praesidio for its central location in the more northern part of Corsica, and because of its high rating. Villa Praesidio's location was ideally suited for day-trips to Cap Corse, and the coasts west and east of it. The bungalow is cute (yet small) and comfortable. The owner (and builder of the B&B) was very friendly and helpful... he carried our two 23kg pieces of luggage from the car to the bungalow down steep steps. We can highly recommend this B&B despite our comments on the breakfast / price.
Cons: The 'continental breakfast' was a slight disappointment as it could have entailed more, and could have been varied over three days. We state this in context of the somewhat high price paid for the bungalow.
Pros: Great host, lovely breakfast on the terrace each morning. Beautiful prospect.
Cons: Nothing to do with the accomodation, everything was great. Parking is slightly challenging if you get boxed in - if you have a big car, you may want to park in the town which is very close. Be careful of the mosquitoes!
Pros: Lovely rural setting in a charming hamlet, friendly informative host, excellent breakfast brought to our chalet and a perfect location for the region
Pros: Everything!! Location is great- very quiet and close to amazing hikes in the area. Owner is very friendly, helpful and organized! Chalets are beautiful and very comfortable, bed is very big, comfy and unusual (like it's floating in the air), amazing shower, little kitchen with everything you need. Every morning owner brought us breakfast to our room. Breakfast was generous and delicious! We loved everything about this place and will definitely come back soon and recomend this to everyone!
Pros: It was actually perfect, spent a great week!
Cons: The WiFi could be stronger. And cheese for breakfast.:))))
Pros: Nice staff and atmosphere !
Pros: Very helpful and friendly staff
Pros: It was close enough to Corte that we could there very easily, and yet escape to this charming quaint little town afterwards, The owner was extremely helpful, and very busy at the same time, and always very friendly. Delightful breakfasts were served to us on our small patio by him, and each of the little cottages afforded a great deal of privacy. The bathrooms were very tastefully decorated and very comfortable for showering, something not necessarily common in southern Europe.
Pros: The hotel - which consists of several detached houses - lies among trees, and has the image of a forest hotel. Very romantic, and surprisingly comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful.
Cons: Not easy to find, and by big car getting to the hotel and parking might be difficult. Not recommended for handicapped people, as long and steep stairs connect the houses and the parking lot.
Pros: Scenic location and confotable designed villa. Staff had very good hosipitality.
Pros: The owner was most helpful and the breakfast was generous and just right. The setting is unique. We ate on he mini-balcony, and although it was cold, the sense of being surrounded by close-up high mountains, in a tiny perched village, was unique.
Cons: It's not a villa at all. Actually, 5 or 6 very small, unfinished stone cottages. They are badly built, the walls were sweating, the floor wet. The toilet is micro-size, and there are virtually no amenities. The price, 65 Euro/per night, is way too high for this location, so little comfort, and in January. Very perilous road getting there. Also, did not like having to pay through PayPal because the translation into dollars raised the cost another 3%.
Pros: Very nice setting with nice views of the mountains. Very friendly and helpul owner.
Cons: Parking was a bit limited at the hotel but there were spaces in the village not that far away so not a big problem.
Hotel Duc de Padoue is centrally located in Corte, a 5-minute walk from University of Corsica Pascal Paoli and 6 minutes by foot from Gaffory Square. Featured amenities include a computer station, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. For a surcharge, guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle (available 24 hours) and a train station pick-up service.
Pros: The location was good as it was really quiet even though a very short walk to the main street. Breakfast was served by attentive staff and the choice was excellent considering the very reasonable charge. We enjoyed the best coffee of the whole week long trip!
Cons: There was nothing not to like, the hotel has character and charm and we would stay there again.
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff. Great location
Pros: Charming hotel in an old building on a quiet squire in the center of Corte
Cons: Facilities are a bit run down. No elevator (rooms are on the first floor) and nu parking
Pros: Location close to city center. Good breakfast for a good privé.
Cons: Beware that there is no elevator. There is also no private parking; however there is a public parking garage nearby (2 min. walk) which was quite cheap.
Pros: Staff and breakfast
Pros: Location, excellent breakfast at good price.
Cons: Hard to adjust water temperature in shower. Convenient parking behind hotel, but you have to pay
Located in Corte, Hôtel Si Mea is in a regional park, within a 15-minute walk of University of Corsica Pascal Paoli and Gaffory Square. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: A lovely hotel with spectacular views across Corte and the valley.
Cons: My friend and I travelled around Corsica by train and did not realise that Corte is effectively a taxi free town. We had no choice but to pull our suitcases for 25 min / 1.5km uphill to the hotel after arriving by train and being told by the local taxi driver no one was available. We were subsequently told that it Corte is too small and the taxi jobs in town are not worthwhile. This was not the fault of the hotel but I would not stay there again unless I had a car and that was not clear to me when I booked. However, I also have to thank the amazing woman on reception at Si Mea who spent much of one evening finding us the impossible - a car to take us back to the train station when we departed. She truly went above and beyond what was expected as trying usual drivers was a dead end and I am so grateful she persisted while we were out for dinner - truly amazing service and why I would heartily recommend this hotel, if you have a car!
Pros: Me and my wife decided to stay in Corte for a week. This is a very small and cozy hotel in a quiet and beautiful setting. We decided to stay for breakfast but it is an option. The breakfast was very good and eaten in a very quiet environment. The rooms are very different in size and equipment and probably none of them is the same. Ours was at the ground floor and turned east. It was well-equipped; small refrigerator, coffee set, a good shower and fine air conditioning. The beds were good. At reception you can buy drinks at a reasonable price. The pool park is small but pleasant. The swimming pool is clean, the sunbeds good and the sunshades large. Around the hotel is a beautiful garden and good and free parking. It takes about 10-15 minutes to walk down to the center of Corte with plenty of restaurants. It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the old fort.
Pros: OK breakfast. BBC World on TV.
Cons: Run down badly renovated hotel, not 3 star standard. Tub without shower curtain, no floor drain, nonexistent ventilation and towel heater and heated floor not working led to damp bathroom. All towels had turned damp in the morning. Mold in the ceiling indicated a common problem.
Pros: Nice breakfast
Pros: Some of the rooms were beautiful and the property felt luxurious.
Cons: We had a room that was dark and small, right next to reception. Most of the other rooms probably were nicer.
Pros: It was a quick stay for us - we were only there one night - but the hotel was everything that we needed. It has a great view overlooking the town of Corte, including the citadel, and the mountains beyond. There is a pool that looked nice - though we did not go in! - and the staff both days was friendly and willing to give us local recommendations for restaurants, swimming holes by the river, etc.
Pros: Good breakfast & Pool
Cons: We booked a room with a shower but we got a bath-tub. It was not possible the change the room. The toilette seat was broken and the toilette door did not close. We were offered to move to another hotel (without parking and pool)
Pros: Great View to Corte. Lovely Pool.
With a stay at Hotel du Nord in Corte, you'll be within a 5-minute walk of University of Corsica Pascal Paoli and Gaffory Square. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours).
Pros: Very helpful and friendly staff. Gave us recommendations for local restaurants and things to do such as walks in the surrounding area. Also recommended areas where parking was free. Central location of hotel is very convenient.
Cons: No hot water on the day of departure due to technical fault. Received apology but a small discount in recognition of this inconvenience would have been appreciated.
Pros: Very central location with easy access to old town
Cons: It would have been helpful to know in advance that the road would be closed due to a local event and that we would need to find parking elsewhere.
Pros: - ideal central location - breakfast was very good - good atmosphere in the breakfast room
Cons: - no proper air conditioning - no parking
Pros: Friendly staff at check-in
Cons: Sound from street carries easily into the rooms preventing sleep
Pros: Close to the excellent walking in the area. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent and value for money.
Pros: Nice hotel in a good location in the center of the town. Everything in walking distance. Friendly staff, so perfect for our short stay in Corte.
Centrally located in Corte, U Passa Tempu is just 7 km away from the Restonica Valley and its Tavignano gorges, its lakes, its natural swimming-pools and hiking trails. Guests can enjoy a breakfast of local produce, served in their rooms or on the terrace With its central location, U Passa Tempu is close to the museum of Corsica and citadel. For guests arriving by car, free private parking is possible onsite. Corte train station is 1.4 km away.
Pros: Everything - host was very welcoming, amenities clean and all you need
Pros: Espresso machine in the room was a great touch
Pros: Charming and clean. Right in the center of town.
Pros: We stayed in one of the two rooms on top with a balcony. It was quiet. The triple panel window and door took care of the music from the band on the street. Alain was nice at check in especially since I gave him the wrong time. The bed was comfortable. The little coffee maker made surprisingly good coffee. As others have said, the location was great, step down the Ramp de la Croix and you have tons of restaurants and bars, step up the hill and the hiking trail is seven minutes away.
Cons: No problems
Pros: It's a strange place: like a converted modern barn. Initial disquiet on viewing is soon put to rest by an affable host, perfectly acceptable accommodation, and central position. Nervous drivers might be worried about the parking!
Cons: Parking. Driver's access is down a steep, in places shallow-stepped, ramp.
Pros: The studio was very spacious and we loved the large outdoor patio where we had dinner and breakfast. The location was fabulous - right in the middle of town.
Cons: It was difficult to get to on our bikes. We had to ride up/down cobblestones and/or steps. Once we discovered the back way in/out, it wasn't too bad. Also, I had originally booked the smaller studio, but when I emailed the property, they said it did not have a patio, that only the larger ones did. We needed the patio to store our bikes, so I upgraded to the larger (and more expensive) one. I figured it was worth it because on booking.com, it said it came with a welcome tray (including wine/champagne). It did not. I don't think it's the fault of the property, but that should be corrected. As it turns out, the smaller one did have access to the patio as well. We were happy with the larger studio and our friend booked the smaller one, so it ended up being ok, but I was disappointed that there was not a welcome tray.
Pros: We were upgraded from a studio to an entire apartment. It was fully equipped. Dishwasher oven and washer. All utensils available. Near the beach and center. Balcony is big and faces the mountain and par5 of the beach. Very clean. Quiet. Highly recommended.
Located in Corte, Les Jardins De La Glaciere is in a regional park, a 1-minute drive from Gorges de la Restonica and 5 minutes from Santos Manfredi Hospital. Featured amenities include multilingual staff, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
Vanina Park is located in Corte, in the centre of Corsica. It offers air-conditioned studios and apartments. Guests have access to the fully-equipped fitness room and Wi-Fi is available throughout. Apartments include a living room with a bed and a flat-screen TV. The kitchens are equipped with electric plates and there are also en suite facilities. A daily breakfast is available in the Vanina Park cafeteria. Free parking is available on-site for guests arriving by car. The Vanina Park residence also has a private garden and terrace.
Pros: This is student accomodation, but satisfied with the appartment, clean comfortable. Small kitchen with enough to prepare simple meals, microwave, hob etc. Plenty of car parking space. Would certainly use again.
Cons: The lifts were out of order for our stay, we where on the 3rd floor, hard going carrying luggage up 3 floors. I am sure some people would find this very difficult.
Pros: Good location, all the equipment needed, clean
Cons: Very small bathroom, WI-FI access did not work, no lift from ground floor to first floor
Pros: The accomodation was adequte for one night, quite compact but fair value
Cons: Not easy to find & a little out of town, also gaining access was a little complicated, and the lift button on our floor (4th), was not working, which was annoying having to go down a metal fire escape style staircase to the next floor. Unfortunately also there was no breakfast available in the downstairs cafeteria, because it was Sunday morning.
Dating from the 1930s, Hotel de La Paix is set just a 5-minute walk from Cours Paoli in Corte. It offers a TV room, an on-site restaurant and free garage parking for motorbikes and bicycles. The rooms at Hotel de La Paix feature views of the surrounding mountains and gardens. Decorated in a contemporary style, each one provides an en suite bathroom and some also have a private balcony. A continental breakfast is served every morning, either in the dining room or on the terrace. You can also choose to relax in the bar with a drink before sampling traditional cuisine in the restaurant. Free WiFi is available throughout the property. Luggage storage and newspapers can be found at reception. The old town and the leaving point for walks in the Tavignano Valley are a 5-minute walk away.
Pros: good room size. bed comfortable. very very nice breakfast staff fairly close to centre ville.
Cons: noisy doors—impossible to open or close without everyone on the floor hearing it and waking you up. noise echoed loudly in the hallway. would have been nice to have fruit and eggs or cheese at breakfast.
Cons: The staff at check out was not so friendly.
Pros: Breakfast was pleasant.
Cons: There was mold on the bathroom ceiling above the shower. Rather expensive for a place with a moldy shower.
Pros: Classic old school hotel. Could have been anytime between 1950 and 2019
Pros: Bathroom was spacious for a budget hotel. Right in the middle of town. I had no trouble finding an on street parking space both days (might just have been lucky).
Cons: As noted by everyone else....the walls are paper thin. I could hear neighbour’s conversations and their snoring. Linens are measly, towels are thin. Would not eat at the lonely restaurant, but there are tons of places really close by.
Pros: The location is fine and when opening the windows you can see the mist in the mountains. I also liked the bath tub.
Cons: Coming from Sardinia I found out that accommodation in Corsica is more expensive. Paying by card is still not possible in this hotel. Desk personnel is reserved maybe because of a language barrier. Lot of noise in the hotel when I was there. Probably because of a group of students because Corse is an university town.
Pros: Clean, big room (201) and close to the center
Cons: The walls are a little too thin and you can hear the neighbors if they argue.
