It was a nice stay in the hostal. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
CP value is quite good, the bathroom looks clean
the location is quite middle of nowhere, the sink in the room doesn't work.
Because the name of the place has "Hostal" in it, I expected primitive hostel-like conditions with parties and bunk beds. It was not. It was basically a really neat compact hotel room with a shared bathroom area. Location From the airport I took the metro to Valencia Nord train station and from there walked 15 minutes. It's difficult to find the door to enter, there are no clear signs on the outside of the building. Search for the actual street address. There is a doorbell with the name of the hotel there. Even a day after I checked in, I got confused. A lot of buildings and doors look similar. I accidentally rang someone else's doorbell. Sorry! You need to let the hotel know what time you'll arrive. It seems that there is only someone there when they are checking in guests. After my first check-in, I never saw a soul. The check-in man spoke little English but he was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is just slightly out of the touristy/historical part of town but only an easy 15 minute walk. The area seems safe, also at night. There are plenty of restaurants, bakeries, supermarkets, and cafes around. Valencia is kind of small so this hotels location is perfect to walk to Placa de la Reina area as well as the aquarium/Ciudad de las Artes area within about 30 minutes. Hotel The photos of the place look a bit dinky and amateurish. My room was much nicer than expected. It was a decent size, nice bed, some basic furniture, soft sheets, and a nice biiiiig pillow. I slept really well. There is no AC and it said the rooms have a fan but I couldn't find it. Perhaps you need to ask the front desk. It wasn't really needed (May). Via a balcony, the room opens up to a nice courtyard area. People in Valencia like to talk really loudly, watch tv, and smoke into the middle of the night so you'll need to close the windows if not used to it. Towels and toiletries provided. No coffee or breakfast options included.
I may have been the only guest (it was very quiet) but there was no toilet paper for the first two days. Glad I always bring my own roll. :)
No tea and coffee facilities in room.
Good room size, the view, kind staff, ...
