From first arriving the hosts De and Terry were so lovely and welcoming like old friends.Nothing was too much trouble. The little special touches like homemade biscuits and Terry’s fudge were delicious as was the breakfast especially the plum and cinnamon jam and the scrambled eggs with chives.Such a treat. This is without doubt one of the best bed and breakfasts we have stayed in and would love to return in the future.
The room was beautifully decorated with very comfortable bed and lovely soft bedding Delicious breakfast was cooked and presented to perfection.
Can't think of anything.
A good variety of breakfast choice and of a very high quality. The full Devon breakfast was delicious. The specially prepared omelette, available on request, was particularly good and something I’d not had before. Cereal and fruit also available, with a good choice of chilled juices. Tea and coffee plentiful. The hosts De and Terry were charming, always available with suggestions of places to visit or dine and their advice was spot on. They had the balance just right between being friendly and informative without being intrusive or overbearing. The accommodation was absolutely spotless and and very comfortable. Beautifully and tastefully decorated. Definitely deserves the five star rating.
Not one thing I didn’t like.
The owners were extremely helpful and welcoming. Carlton Court is spotlessly clean and has everything guests could possibly need.
A cream tea after we had unpacked, washed and brushed up, was a real treat. Home made scones and jam! Our room was bright and clean, as was the ensuite. With a lovely garden view. Breakfast was superbly cooked and presented. Fresh fruit, home made bread, choices of teas. The hosts were very friendly, but not overbearing. Basil and Sybil they were not !! We have no hesitation in saying that we will return to this great little 5 star B+B.
