Unexpectedly large room (compared to other hotels in Japan) and washing machine is a plus, especially suitable for people stay for long. There’s also a Chinese staff who was very helpful, other staffs were all friendly and supportive.
Breakfast was too simple, not many choices.
A bit pricey but overall decent location, space and setup
Amazing location for the price. You can walk to Shibuya in about 10 minutes, and Shinsen Station is really close if you just want to hop on the train. There's a 24 hour supermarket right next door, which you can actually use because there are kitchenettes in each room (as far as I know). There's even an entire washing machine with dryer for laundry, IN your room! And a humidifier! Full Japanese-style bathroom with tub and washing area. Good-sized comfortable bed. My single room had more than enough space for a solo traveler. I even had a balcony. All the amenities you need. Breakfast is very good and worth the price. And although it was a smoking room because that was all they had left, I absolutely could not tell - there was no smell or anything like that.
I am very happy with a place like this for myself as I'm a solo traveler and comfortable being in Japan, and have recommended this place to like-minded friends of mine in the past. Perfect for business travel as well. But I will say that if you are in Japan for the very first time and with your significant other, for example, this may not be the place for you. It's nothing fancy at all and there are slight signs of wear and tear, like stains on the wall and I felt like the bathing area needed to be deodorized. Know that they do not do a full cleaning of the rooms everyday but they do come change things (and honestly that's all I needed, personally). Also, directions for things in the room (such as the humidifier and washing machine) are all in Japanese only. But I'm sure the staff would help you if necessary as they all seemed to speak decent English.
Quiet area Close to Shinsen Station South exit via Keio line, theres 24 hr lawson and Maruetsu store a few izakayas and restaurants on the way and its just an easy 15 walk from the main road straight to Shibuya crossing. The twin room was clean and very spacious, comes with your own kitchen & washer, Bathrooms huge as well and the staff were polite as expected. you have to swipe your card at the main entrance so it’s safe.
nothing negative that stood out
Staff helpful, room surprisingly large for a single.
One of the more dated Tokyu Stay venues. Not a single USB port anywhere, and power outlets in very odd places - you have to plug the kettle in in the bathroom as there is no outlet in the 'kitchen'. Microwave is an antique. No bedside table. Biggest issue is location - NOT convenient to Shibuya stn, especially if you have luggage. Shibuya station is undergoing a huge, long term upgrade and is a giant construction zone - impossible to navigate. I had a second booking here after a weekend away but cancelled in favour of a better place in Shinjuku. Won't stay at this hotel, or near Shibuya stn again.
