As always, for the sixth time, I believe, Midin made me smile. It’s a compact hotel in the heart of Meguro. I will always think of it as my second home in Tokyo.
Clean, new hotel in a very convenient location for central Tokyo
Internet was patchy (but may be due to staying on a high floor).
Paper, throw away room cards (not a bad idea I guess as long as you don't damage them as you need one for the lift. Only 200 yards from the station which helped. Shower was fine, as was a/c.
I gave it a poor rating as it's expensive for you get. We also stayed at the Mitsui Garden at Gotanda one the next stop of the JR line with was much cheaper and much nicer. It may be because we only booked about a week before we went, so a better price would rate it average. The room is vey basic and compact. No wardrobe at all, only 4 hangers on hooks against the wall. TV had local channels only. No water in the fridge.
Location was good, 3 mins walk to Meguro station. Little restaurants and bars in surrounding area. Floor was fully carpeted. Room was small but clean.
No drinking water.
Good location in Meguro. Room was well cleaned and well soundproofed.
Missing some information in English (explanations in the room on how to use Air conditioning or any services are written in Japanese).
