Pros: Bed super comfy, nice bright and new property, had a fun time with a big family group playing cards into the evening in the lobby area after a sad funeral. Very accommodating, excellent breakfast choices. A plus

9,2 Excellent
Pros: Modern, clean, easy access to the freeway, good selection for breakfast, comfortable beds. Staff were very helpful, offered a coupon for a free appetizer at a local restaurant.
Cons: Not a show stopper but the location is in more of an industrial area of town. Just a bit sketchy. There really are only two restaurants within easy walking distance, Cousins and Denny’s. We had dinner at Cousins which had an extensive menu and was quite reasonable.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly, professional, prompt & kind receptionist always starts things off right. Check-in happens smoothly and I get into the room where everything is beautiful, stocked fully, ready for a restful night. Comfortable bed, lots of pillows, good lights for reading and finishing a little work at the desk before watching something on the television and calling it a night. In the morning I enjoy a hot cup of coffee on the Keurig in my room, then pack up and have breakfast with a business colleague who lives in the next town over. The restaurant staff and chef visit us to check on things. They are a 10 on scale of 10. Paying good attention, but not hovering or bothering us while we get some things handled for work. I usually can't finish my entire breakfast it is quite large. So they box up the tasty leftovers including 1/2 omelette, fresh cut fruit and cottage cheese and pack it up for me to take on the road. Really nice touch. They don't just hand me the containers and say "have at it." It's the kind of service I really love about Cousins.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The convenience of restaurant and lounge
Cons: Nothing
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Full blown on site restaurant, good breakfast, fresh, well maintained feel .. and Tesla chargers are on site.
Cons: Noisy air conditioner in the room.
5,8 Okay
Pros: Convenient to Gorge Attractions. Good beds.
Cons: It’s tired and needs maintenance, cleaning or renovation. Bathroom smelled of urine.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Nice location. Next to restaurant.
Cons: The blinds did not cover all the light coming in for room 118.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the barn building
7,9 Good
Pros: Great value for the price, easy check in and parking, nice staff, rooms were decent size and nice quality sheets and furnishings for price and location. Liked that the restaurant is right there, no need to drive for food, close to a convenient store as well, saloon as well near the restaurant, spa was small but nice, pool was good too.
Cons: Poor lighting in our room, good thing we did not need to do any work/write anything down. You could not close our bathroom door, it was "off" from the jam, so unable to close this. The AC unit was really loud, which I didn't mind for sleeping to mitigate noise but somewhat annoying while hanging out.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Was an easy on and off the freeway. Like having the Resturant on site
10,0 Excellent
Pros: All breakfasts are filling and delicious, and they throw in a great cinnamon roll for two as well!
Cons: Everyone and everything was great! These people are extremely helpful and accommodating!
5,8 Okay
Pros: Restaurant and staff were excellent
Cons: Room was well overdue for a remodel and in my opinion poorly maintained. In September the AC ran all night and didn’t really cool the room much at all. We stayed on a prior visit in the newer Building across from the restaurant, and it was a lot nicer.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Nice & friendly
Cons: Little parking
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Good water pressure in the shower, comfortable mattress, and good food at restaurant tied to hotel.
Cons: Not to be picky, but the shower head didn't angle down enough (plus I was wanting a bathtub to do an Epsom salt soak), the pillows weren't thick enough for my comfort, the remote worked only once after pushing any button ten times, and the slot on the doorjam where the deadbolt goes was broken.

7,0 Good
Pros: the breakfast was pretty good, staff was helpful. The room was nice. We traveled with our dog, and it was nice to have the hard wood floors.
Cons: The parking is TERRIBLE! The hotel must have been fully booked. There were probably enough spaces, but they were very tiny. we parked within the lines, but struggled to get out of the car because the vehicle next to us (also parked within the lines.) was so close. Our shower was also not working, but as soon as we reported it to the front desk they quickly gave us a room that we could shower in.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great remodeled room.
Cons: Was great! My only complaint would be there should be ice water at breakfast.
7,1 Good
Pros: Friendly staff. Clean room
Cons: Parking to tight. Had to listen to next rooms tv very loud until about midnight.
8,8 Excellent
Cons: Parking was difficult. We drive a 150 Ford and when we checked in all of the larger parking spaces were taken.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: First time I stayed in July it was great. When I stayed again in August my shower was broken and I was stuck taking a cold shower because no one had answered when I called and I had to get ready. They did however apologize and discount my stay which was fair because other than the terrible morning my sleep was good. I would definitely stay there again.
Cons: That the building next to the main building didn’t have an elevator and I really hated that all breakfast offered was breads and cereal. I would have preferred to see some eggs and meats.
6,7 Good
Pros: Location and covered parking.
Cons: Soda machine got me for a dollar
5,8 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was included. Pool on site. Good burgers and craft beer at "Clock Tower Ales" next door.
Cons: Building complex appears outdated, luckily it's much better inside than out.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff, clean and quiet
Cons: Nothing
7,5 Good
Pros: location was central
Cons: breakfast was not the best, no eggs, it was a continental breakfast.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel building is historic, but the interiors are quite modern. I enjoyed it's downtown location and proximity to great pubs.
Cons: Some paint and sheetrock/mudding imperfections.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Free waffle breakfast! Plus other good options aswell.
Cons: Parking was a bit tight.
3,0 Mediocre
Pros: Cleanliness.
Cons: Rooms are very small. Walls and ceilings thin. On Main Street with traffic noise. The pool was disgusting! Murky water. Pool chair broke when I sat on it. I'm only 188lbs.

Cons: No
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast. Comfortable bed. Quiet.
6,7 Good
Pros: Quiet location
Cons: Breakfast egg option limited to scrambled (perhaps powdered) eggs. Greasy sausage and previously frozen potatoes offered up in the same lukewarm container. I asked for hot sauce or ketchup and was rudely directed to little squirt packs of taco sauce and ketchup! Paper plates and coffee cups and the absolute cheapest plastic service ware I have ever found!

6,0 Good
Pros: We were able to park our truck and trailer no problem
Cons: Motel 6 requires all adults to scan their drivers license. To us, this is unacceptably invasive into our personal privacy and this do not intend to stay at a Motel 6 again.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Good service.
Cons: No TV guide
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Heated pool was lovely and the grandkids had a wonderful time in it. Room was an adequate size for 2 adults and 2 children.
Cons: Noise from other rooms and parking lot.
6,3 Good
Pros: It was pretty clean
Cons: Being on the 2nd floor with my disabled husband & our service dog, poor stairway lighting, no coffee marker in room. Unable to stay the 1st night, but was charged anyway.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The staff was friendly and excited my expectations. They met my needs for an extra days stay and worked it out so I didn't have to change rooms. Will stay again, no questions asked.
Cons: Nothing bad to say
5,4 Okay
Pros: there is no breakfast, and they were not open when we left.
Cons: could have opened by 6:00 am
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I know what to expect with a budget hotel, but I don't care, because it's my activities and memories that are my vacation...not where I sleep. I just want it to be clean. This Motel 6 really made a huge difference for me!!! Christie at the front desk was wonderful, even called me an hour after check in to ensure accomodations were to my liking. The building is fairly old, but everything sparkling clean. Ample parking, and close to all the Dalles has to offer. Will only stay here when we come!!! Thank you!!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Friendliness of staff!
Cons: The price was a little high for the quality of the rooms.
7,9 Good
Pros: Front Desk Lady was super!
Cons: The train going by at 3 (or so) in the morning honking its horn. The flat pillow. I'm not sure if there is an elevator. If there is it wasn't pointed out or found.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Nice and quit
Cons: Parking is a mess. But they are fixing the parking.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Clean, clean, clean!!! Friendly staff, place neat and well cared for
Cons: No complaints
7,1 Good
Pros: Nice dinning room and food was better than others we had on this trip. The bed was very comfortable and the room clean. There was an Applebees restaurant across the street so made it very easy for a quick dinner.
Cons: the entry door was hard to hold open while you tried to get yourself and luggage in. The door we used had been altered so it had a jagged edge that caught my arm and had a nasty tare in my skin. I also had a very bad experience with another patron in the parking lot. He was very angry and used abusive language. He actually rammed his pickup into a metal poll knocking it over. Thank goodness this happened when we were leaving so we didn't have to encounter him again.

Pros: I thought the breakfast was not worth eating
Cons: get rid of the air conditioning units that are loud and wake you up through the night The rooms are not suites. Take that off your sign the property overall needs attention and clearly people are not paid enough there to take an interest in making the property better
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Comfy
Cons: Everything was awesome
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Easy access to Hwy, with convenient gas, good..etc
Cons: Air conditioner in room was very loud and not that great..
10,0 Excellent
Pros: No eggs same alternating breakfast biscuits with suasage gravy and some sort of thing that kind of looked like an omelet but wasn’t with sausage links. the pool was cold not heated. Everything else was excellent.
Cons: See above
4,0 Okay
Pros: Decent beds.
Cons: Very out dated and run down.
6,7 Good
Pros: Decent breakfast and pool And we like we can bring our dog.
Cons: The lady at the front desk (sat 8/24/19, 1pm) never smiled or asked how our stay was. We watched her (sun 8/25/19), while eating breakfast, with other guest and she was not friendly at all. Never asked one of them if they enjoyed their stay or anything! They would say good morning and she didn't respond back with a good morning. Her energy is negative. I asked if we could have a room on the 1st level because we had our dog and I have a bad knee and she said no we can't change rooms. And then she informes us there are no eleavators at hotel. We also noticed the hotel wasn't at full capacity and we noticed there were several rooms available on the 1st floor. We would of paid more had she not shut us down so quickly. We come thru the Dalles a few times a year and wanted to give the shilo a try and we will not stay here again because she wasn't accomadating at all. Or even willing to try or check if she could accomadate us.
7,5 Good
Pros: Scenery
Cons: Old musty smell
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Balcony, historic outdoor space next to hotel on the Columbia River. Nice modern lamenent floors instead of carpet.
4,6 Okay
Pros: Quit and good service.
Cons: The beds suck, air is noisy, and there is a big gap under the room door. These are $70 to $90 rooms at best.
7,1 Good
Pros: Right by the Columbia River, attached restaurant had good dinners with reasonable prices.
Cons: Obviously skimping on repairs, renovations, any attempt to update. Breakfast was minimal with no attendant to replenish items.
6,3 Good
Pros: Breakfast was not bad. Glad there was a fridge and microwave. Clock radio had the right time.
Cons: Entire place needs updating. Bathroom door wouldn’t stay closed. Shower head was awful and sprayed water everywhere. Gym was dark, small and smelled bad. TV was small and slightly blurry.
5,4 Okay
Pros: Ample parking for trailers. Restaurant was surprisingly good.
Cons: The facility was old and in moderate disrepair. Our room had a squeaky bed, poor quality TV and vinyl floors.

8,0 Excellent
Pros: Quiet, convenient location. Have stayed there before years ago. It was still just as good as before and I would stay there again.
Cons: no fruit choices
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Pleasant staff
Cons: Over priced
6,3 Good
Pros: The room was reasonably comfortable. We had a generously sized fridge, a TV with very limited channels, & two comfortable beds. The bathroom was adequate as was the shower, though the water pressure was on the low side. It's a bit outdated and shabby, as expected. The hotel staff who checked us in was friendly and helpful and gave us a choice of floors. We appreciated her help later when a snack got stuck in the vending machine and she was ready to assist.
Cons: The pool was open but not heated & after going in during the late afternoon/early evening it was way too cold to swim in and enjoy. My husband has three black belts and spends every weekend in training and doing fist and body conditioning for punching and throwing with other large men- so when I say he couldn't get past his feet before refusing to get in further because it was so cold, you can maybe understand that it wasn't just too cold for average weanies like me, it really was unbearably cold. While the hotel did technically have this amenity available, if it can't be used, you aren't really getting your money's worth. Part of the problem is even though it was low 80's that day outside, the pool sits in a shadow most of the day and never warms up, so it needs to be heated to be a true amenity that can be used. The hotel website & front desk poster breakfast advertise a picture of breakfast that includes bacon & eggs. It's one of the reasons we thought the nightly rate would be justified. That's not what you get. Maybe some locations do that, but our breakfast definitely had no eggs, definitely had no bacon. I'll always pay more for bacon. Lower your rate or give me bacon. It's not hard. Finally, the lobby has a sign to the effect of absolutely-no-pets-in-the-lobby-period-thank-you-strictly-enforced-don't-test-us. I read this sign for the first time at breakfast while seeing no less than six different dogs occupy the lobby during check-out and even while their humans ate next to us. Just take down the sign.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable.
Cons: We have no complants.
4,2 Okay
Cons: The bed was uncomfortable, the bathtub made noises when standing, there was black mold or black gunk between the bathtub rim and where the shower wall begins. The breakfast gravy was cold. There should have been another person there to help the desk person. She had to work the desk as well as run the breakfast area.
6,0 Good
Pros: The staff was very friendly.
Cons: The breakfast was not good. Very little variety and staff would not refill anything that was empty. We were very disappointed with breakfast.
3,3 Mediocre
Pros: Not much
Cons: The place was disgusting. We had to move from the first room because there were beer caps everywhere and the floor was soaking wet and room smelled horrible. Second room smelled slightly better, but was not clean or comfortable either. There were two bugs in my bed. My significant other assured me they were not bed bugs but they looked almost exactly the same. Just an unpleasant experience. I am not a complainer EVER. And we put leftover food from a nice restaurant in the fridge overnight just to find out the next day that the fridge was not even on, was turned to zero, so all of our food was garbage and a waste of a lot of money.
7,0 Good
Pros: the staff was friendly and helpful
Cons: I BOOKED A HANDICAP ROOM AND WHEN I ARRIVED, THE CLERK SAID IT DIDNT SHOW THAT INFO. THANK GOODNESS I HAD A COPY OF MY COMPUTER CHECK IN. SHE SAID THEY HAD ONE MORE HANDICAP ROOM, AT THE VERY END OF THE HALLWAY, BUT THE KEYS WERENT WORKING WELL. SHE WENT DOWN AND OPENED THE DOOR FOR ME. AFTER I GOT SETTLED THE TV DIDNT WORK. I CALLED THE DESK CLERK AND SHE DIDNT KNOW WHY. SHE SAID SHE COULD COME DOWN BUT I DECLINED AS I DIDNT WANT TO GET DRESSED. WHEN I CAME BACK THE SECOND DAY, MY KEY DIDNT WORK. ONE OF THE CLEANING STAFF TRIED TO GET IT OPEN TO NO AVAIL..I CALLED THE FRONT DESK AND SHE SAID SHE WOULD BE THERE ASAP. MEANWHILE I HAD TO STAND AND WAIT, WHICH IS NOT GOOD FOR MY PAIN LEVEL. WHEN SHE CAME NONE OF THE KEYS WOULD OPEN THE DOOR, SO SHE GAVE ME THE MASTER AND FIXED THE TV ALSO.
6,7 Good
Pros: Friendly staff & clean
4,6 Okay
Pros: Staff was friendly and apologetic
Cons: Elevator broken, card reader not working on door closest to our room. Room so humid it was unbearable. Bathroom has had major water damage. Man wandering in and out in bathrobe bbqing in a back area.

2,5 Mediocre
Pros: The front desk people who I am assuming are the owners were terrible. They were rude, unwilling to communicate and pushy. We reserved a non smoking room and when we arrived they only had a smoking room left. They said stupid booking.com is not working it's not our problem and then turn their backs to us, not helping us with any other options or giving us other possible motels around the area to stay at. This hotel looked ran down and dirty. We ended up going to Budget Inn and it was wonderful.
Cons: Everything esp. customer service.
7,5 Good
Cons: Don’t think you will find dependable wireless! Connection drops out repeatedly, reconnecting is not easily made. Frustrating!
6,3 Good
Pros: Decent bed. Quiet. Clean enough. Walking distance to good restaurant. Low price.
Cons: Could not get wifi connection ( we have Verizon) or any channels on television.. Scratchy sheets.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The owners were very friendly and helpful, everything in the room worked well and our night was very comfortable.
Cons: There was no safety lock on the door. There should be a latch at the top. Anecdote: I have a toddler and had no way to keep him from opening the door and walking right out. It was nerve racking trying to keep him in the room.
7,9 Good
Pros: The bed was comfortable. My room was ready on time, and it was clean. The bed was comfortable and clean. The hotel is very close to downtown and a 5 minute walk to the Neon Museum. It is also near all of the other attractions in Dalles that many tourist will visit. I would stay here again and recommend the hotel so long as you don't mind staying in a pretty cool vintage motel.
Cons: The hotel is a little dated, but it is an excellent value. The bathroom could use some updating. Parking can be tough in a large vehicle over 6 feet in height.
2,9 Mediocre
Pros: Absolutely nothing.
Cons: The room smelled, the AC unit smelled and looked like it needed to be cleaned (or a new filter put in/screen needed cleaned). Mattress pad was scary looking. I had a king bed but it had these lil tiny pillows on it? No soap in the bathroom, shower drain looked frightening. Front desk agent put me right next to this fluorescent light that shined through my room (and I checked in around 11:30-midnight). Photos look nothing like what you actually get.
7,5 Good
Pros: Very dated facility but the price is fair
3,3 Mediocre

Pros: Bed was very comfortable. Reasonable price

8,0 Excellent
Pros: The location easy to access from the highway. Nice staff. Nice furnishings in the room. Good for long or short stay.
Cons: My rooms was not cleaned during the day and I was an two-day stay so I was surprised to find that nothing had been done in the room. Usually the bed gets remade and dirty towels get removed and replaced with clean. This did not happen
