Pros: It was a real treat to stay at this hotel. The hotel facilities were very comfortable with lots of relaxing areas to lounge in. Breakfast was exceptional, there was a fabulous variety from fresh fruit and cheeses to sweet or savoury options. All staff were helpful, attentive and courteous. Highly recommended.

Pros: The hotel was just perfect. It enjoys magnificent views. The rooms are well equipped and clean. Breakfast is served at the Hotel's terrace: be it english or continental breakfast is entirely your choice. It is a perfect way to start your day: enjoying a delicious meal while enjoying the panorama! The hotel staff were nice, polite and ready to help. My partner and I were delighted with this hotel and all it has to offer! Taormina is a special place for us and we will definitely visit again.

Pros: Fantastic location, close to the centre but far out enough to be peaceful. Everything was beautiful and modern. Beds were so comfortable and the bathrooms were lovely. Everything was laid on for us including fresh croissants and rolls and juice outside our door every morning as it was low season. Fantastic hotel/apartment and area to visit. I highly recommend. The staff were ever so friendly and helpful, from booking reservations to recommending places to visit, they bent over backwards for us! Fantastic. We went in the ‘low’ season and loved it. Ok we couldn’t go round the hotel but we had a super luxury apartment with more than we needed and the staff at our beck and call. It was also 26 degrees the day we left at the end of November and Taormina wasn’t over run with other tourists. Loved it!

Pros: Easily one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The suite was immaculate and huge with a spectacular view from the balcony (room 403), the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly (yet never in an overbearing way as can often be the case in 5* hotels), the breakfast was delicious and very relaxed, and the restaurant was fantastic. 5 min walk to the cable car to Taormina or to Isola Bella, both with great food choices. We celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary on our second night here. When I tried to book a poolside table at the restaurant they told me they were fully booked. I explained to them that it was for a special celebration and the team immediately sprung into action to lay out an additional table just for us. Nothing was too much trouble. The menu was incredible and the wine pairing suggestions were spot on - a very special night that we’ll never forget. Can’t thank them enough. I would highly recommend this hotel and I hope i can go back some day.

Pros: Of all our hotels on this vacation, I think it's this one that my wife most wanted to extend our stay in. You look out of your balcony window (or put your breakfast out on the table and have it out there, which we also did every day), and it's this beautifully shaded Mediterranean, right in front of you. You walk out to the restaurant, and all you hear is some peaceful music, and the even more peaceful ocean, quietly whispering. Keep walking a few feet, and you have a beach chair and an umbrella, and they'll bring some drinks to your chair in between your dips in the sea. The town of Taormina is an amazing place, too, when you take the cable gondola up to see it; but we were also happy to take a day in those beach chairs doing absolutely nothing. The staff were great as well. What a wonderful hotel.

Cons: Overall it feels the property is in need of an update. If you pay 1,000 Euro per day your shower should be more then 3ft by 3ft.and have some decent water pressure and the mixing valves should work so it won't take 5 minutes to get to the shower temp you like. Not so sure about the pillows either (kinda thin and flat). The concierge was very nice, but why would she send me to a clothing store (Luna Chiara) to change money, where the owner was offering .75 Euros to the dollar when I got .92 at a bank? They also were eager to have us eat at Rosmarino which was just ok. Vineria Modi and Ristorante Le Naumacchie which we had reservations for were both way better.

Pros: The location and the view from my room . The Breakfast included in the price was very good. Also, the food and the service in the hotel's restaurant were very good.
Cons: The room was very small and so was the bathroom ( would not accommodate two people at the same time). At a cost of over 1000 euro per night I expected a better size room . The bonus for this room was meant to be the terrace . Indeed, the terrace was large with beautiful views , however the infestation of the mosquitoes and other flying insects made the terrace for the best part of the day unusable . Also, the same problem with the infestation existed at the bar area and restaurant in the afternoon and evenings . The management must take some actions to eradicate this problem - hence my low rating of this hotel .

Pros: Very nice hotel in a nice location with beautiful rooms overlooking Taormina and the sea. I was very surprised of the welcome I received from the Hotel staff. It was my birthday and I received a small but delicious cake and prosecco glass for myself and my two friends sharing the room with me. The staff is very professional and friendly. I would recommend this place for special occasions! Spa and Pool area are really nice too! Location is perfect just a few minutes walk away from the main centre.

Pros: Very nice hotel in a nice location with beautiful rooms overlooking Taormina and the sea. I was very surprised of the welcome I received from the Hotel staff. It was my birthday and I received a small but delicious cake and prosecco glass for myself and my two friends sharing the room with me. The staff is very professional and friendly. I would recommend this place for special occasions! Spa and Pool area are really nice too! Location is perfect just a few minutes walk away from the main centre.
Cons: Our room was a bit too hot, we could not regulate the temperature and we had to sleep with the windows open to get fresh air. Apart from that everything was perfect.

Cons: The hotel needs some TLC--a little run down. Room was just okay. Lighting in bathroom horrible--couldn't see anything it was so dark. Missed a full length mirror in the room. Shower head allowed super hard "stream" of water to pound down on you. Could not get second key for our room. Expected more for what we paid for the room.

Cons: Staff were in the main surly and unhelpful. The pool was difficult to manage and get into and was cold. The sunbeds are appallingly uncomfortable - stiff and iron with no cushion and there are not enough umbrellas. The pool attendant was rude and aggressive. The hotel was several miles from the town and very steep to get to on foot and you had to get the shuttle as there is no parking in Taormina. There are few facilities in this hotel and the rooms are sparse and not equipped well and not worth the money I paid. It was quiet however and the beds were comfortable. This hotel is overrated and should be a four star rating. There was only one reception person who was pleasant and helpful and the rest were hostile and arrogant.

Cons: The costs I incurred within the hotel. I asked for a taxi to be called to drive me about 700m (uphill, with all of my luggage) to the bus stop because it was raining. They organised a car for me and charged €10. Ridiculous for the distance and five times what the taxi I asked for would have cost. I was disappointed because that could have been complementary given the distance travelled and what I’d paid the hotel over the course of the week. The food and drink at the hotel bar was also ridiculously priced. €15 for a single gin and tonic with Schwepps tonic (which costs 80c a bottle). A very middle class problem (!), but just small things like that are easily fixed but would change whether I recommend the hotel.

Cons: We were offered a better view for an extra 40e a night, when I said no, we were offered it for20e a night. I declined. As a good PR excercise I think it is better to put your guests in the best rooms you have available when you are not full to capacity. That way the guest go away happy rather than a little irritated by being harassed to pay more.

Cons: Hotel is old, almost technical museum, which can disturb a little ,despite charm carry with, bathroom at arrival was dirty, a spot of something brown near the toilet was on the floor, but it was difficult to see it because the color of the ceramics at floor. Shower was difficult to useit is small.Staff at reception is helpful and kind, also at the baech, but some of waitres at restaurant are terrible, especially younger personal ( a russian looking man with big stomach is awfull, some of Italian young ladies also) . Food is complete disaster, also for breakfast, even more for dinner. Restaurant is the best to avoid, you pay a lot, for nothing. Other things at hotel are more or less ok.

Pros: The location is the old town of Taormina was perfect, elegant and quiet. The room was large, clean and beautifully decorated and the breakfast lovely. The staff especially were incredible.....the bellman met us at the car park to take our luggage both on arrival and again on departure.The waiter at breakfast fabulous and atentive. There was simply nothing to great or overwhelming to ask of the Front Manager of the hotel whose name is Annalisa...every part of our needs met...BRAVO fabulous young lady! Thank you so very much !

We enjoyed our stay in the resort, especially the beach bar and sun lounges on the beach. All the staff were down to earth, friendly and helpful. Pros: We arrived at the hotel 2hrs before the check-in time. We don't mind waiting in the lobby and roam around to check out the hotel facilities coz it's so inviting to check outside. There are tables outside with the perfect view of the ocean and the pool on the side. It is so relaxing. But the receptionist immediately assists us to check-in earlier than expected. We experienced my first statement after we checked in. It is also my friend's birthday, Few days before our arrival, i emailed the hotel and ask if they can prepare something special and a note of 'Happy Birthday' with my friend's name. They said that they will do their best to meet my request. When we reached our room, a fruit basket, a wine and the note of what exactly i requested is waiting for us inside our room. what spectacular is, our room is upgraded with French terrace and Sea view. the hotel is just 10mins walk to Teatro Antico di Taormina. it's also near to the Centro and Porta Messina

Cons: There wasn’t much, if anything, that I didn’t like. However, I was a little disappointed on the last day of my stay, as I wasn’t informed that the hotel will be closing on the last day, and so I had nowhere to leave my luggage. My flight was at 10pm and late checkout was at 12 pm, so I ended up with the luggage outside, and to top it off, it started to rain (not the hotels fault of corse).

It was difficult getting around the area, there are no pavements. The hotel doesn’t offer beds on the beach. To get to the centre of Taormina you have to get the cable car unless you have a car. The bathroom was I need of an upgrade. If you stay here, be aware that the door to the balcony locks when closed.

Cons: Not ideal for City tour. In order to get to the cable car 10 minutes walk on the road is required. As there are no lights and there is traffic it feels unsafe, especially if going with children. The first room we got had broken toilet and was not very clean. The replacement room was perfectly ok.

Shower in bathroom couldn't be attached so could only be used by hand - generally very dated hotel.
