Update photos to show the room what really looks like and kill the Roaches. Plus old food left on floors by bed and under seat by bed. Very nasty place
Clean, reasonable price and great local location
Great location. Can walk to all the historic sites.
Bare bones room. No luggage rack in room. Floor did not feel clean. Mattresses are old.
Dennys part of the complex... Great turkey bacon on the side with an egg white scramble
Complained to management that the guest room floor made our (bare and stockinged) feet filthy and the (smelly) sink was very slow to drain. Was told that the (tile) floors are cleaned every day and the dirt was probably tracked in by us! I said that was highly unlikely and told her that floors are not cleaned by merely pushing around dirty water with a wet mop. Sink drain was cleared and floors were "cleaned" the next day while we were exploring St. Augustine. We came back to the room only to find once again the the floors made our feet filthy. For the second time I brought my (tan colored) socks to the front desk, complained and asked to see the manager / was told she was not on site. That night, from the room that was above us... There was all kinds kinds of noise and actually sounded like someone was being tossed around hitting the walls and floor. I called the front desk and they said they would check into it. It stopped for a while and then started again, so I called again to complain and was told the police should be there shortly. They came / situation seemed resolved and I went out to my vehicle to get something and noticed a seedy looking couple hanging over the railing smoking. Decided to make like I was leaving and drove out of the front of the motel / back in on the other side and parked there... 'Just in case'. Next morning... I went to the grocery store and bought a 'Swiffer' mop and used 4 pads that ended up BLACK with dirt, hair and who knows what else. Brought the pads in a plastic bag to the same woman at the front desk and said I would like to leave them for the manager... She told me that was not necessary to have the (evidence) bag which I left with her anyway. I asked when the manager would be back on site... The reply: "I don't know when". I do know... I won't be visiting a Days Inn again, anytime soon! P.s. My wife just reminded me there was a discarded hypodermic needle syringe in the parking lot that she noticed the morning we left... Really?
dirty floors, and the room next to us was smoking weed and fighting I called the front desk 3 times and nothing was done finally we left and went to dinner
Exactly what I was looking for. Nothing excessive or fancy by any means. Had a huge kind size bed with 4 fluffy pillows. Everything was pretty standard.
Not much I didn't care for. It wasn't fancy or anything, but you get what you pay for. And this was the perfect basic room nearby everything.
Not bad for the price
It was close to the downtown area and the staff was very helpful.
The room had a musty smell and was very dark (more/brighter lamps would be nice). While the staff was helpful with directions and providing coupons, they were unable to provide many recommendations for restaurants and attractions that they did not have coupons and pamphlets for at their front desk.
Small and outdated room
The hotel was about a ten minute walk from all you want to do. Great getaway. Very relaxing.
Great place if you are solo
You get what you pay for. Great location and staff. The staff went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed. In the end the hotel is what it is. The fridge was iced over, tiny rooms and no bedspread. If I were single in my early 20s it would have been perfect. I wouldn't recommend this hotel for a family with young children.
Location, it was close to the Fountain of Youth and within walking distance to Historic Saint Augustine, the pool was nice as well. It was a all right place to stay for Family. but the location made it.
rooms were ok but could use a little freshening up remodel wise. On our trip to florida staying in Saint Augustine, Alamonte Springs Tampa and Orlando this Hotel was more expensive with less amenities such as breakfast, only offer coffee but they have a Dennys built right in the Hotel.
