The location was excellent - a few minutes drive to Birmingham airport. Bar food was available all afternoon and was reasonably priced. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff on reception and in the bar were very helpful. We didn't have time for breakfast as I had an early flight so cannot comment on that.
It took us quite a while to find a parking space, which was right at the rear of the hotel. Very busy partly due to the Leisure Club I assume. Then it took quite a while to find an entrance to the hotel! Several signs saying where we couldn't get in but not much in the way of signage to tell us where we could. Neither issue was a huge problem but if you've been travelling for hours it can seem that way!
Pretty basic tbh but great price but marked down for light flashing on & off all night in bathroom.... & felt room could have been cleaner . Still walkable for the NEC & staff were great
Few issues in room
Staff are lovely Location great for nec
It’s not been touched with a lick of paint for 20 years. It’s was actually dirty Thyme te is a Couch on the second landing that needs burning. And the net curtains are filthy. And over all dirty smell in the rooms but the bathroom was clean.
Price of hotel
Very convenient hotel with excellent parking. Bar and food all at reasonable prices with plenty of comfortable seating. An excellent base to travel from. Rooms are quiet and comfortable along with good shower.
Bathroom was a little tired.
