The location is great, just a minute walk from the gondola lift and 15 mins walk from the centre of Solden.
The owners of the hotel struggled speaking English. Cleaning ladies came every morning at 8-8.30 trying to open the door to the room and checking if the guests were still there. It's a bit early for us. The sauna was open for three days a week whereas I expected it to be available every day. There was a very basic breakfast with limited choice but the food was fresh.
The hotel is OK; Breakfast is OK; There is a sauna (but no pool).
The owner of the hotel does not speak English, so there were difficulties in understanding certain things while checking in; no card payments possible; we had nowhere to leave our suitcases for storage on the last day (we checked out quite early) - the only option was a place under the stairs where the suitcases were accessible by others; cleaning ladies woke me up every day at 8.00-8.30 (despite the “do not disturb” sign
Very good location, close to the ski lift and ski rental. A quiet hotel for families or a group of friends.
Owners are very friendly and helpful. Hotel is very close to one of the gondola lifts, although a bit far from the actual city centre. The room was comfortable overall (but with a few downsides). Christmas present of a box of sweets and a bottle of wine was a nice touch.
The cleaning service is very annoying - they don't honour the "do not disturb" sign AT ALL, and try to do it when they see fit (we were out for a quick breakfast and returned to a room being in the cleaning process, at 9AM). The room was small and smelled damp - not critically, but noticeably. Also almost no toiletries - two shady-looking shower gel portions is all we got, and it was never replenished. Some towels had holes in them and looked not exactly new. There are few places to eat around the property, but mostly to get a decent meal or buy groceries you need to get to the centre (15-20 minutes walk or catching a bus).
Sauna was great. Same as breakfast
