Drop off location needs updatingPros:Pick up in Miami airport rental centre was fine. The car was as advertised and we weren't 'encouraged' to buy additional insurance etc.Cons:Drop off location in Miami was advertised as 3925 Collins - inside the Marriott hotel. Great as that was opposite our hotel. However, the office in the Marriott was unattended and the actual drop off garage was a few blocks up the road. It would have been a bit less of a hassle to have known this ahead of time and perhaps Sixt could highlight this in their website.Reviewed Nov 22 2016

Cons:It would have been good if they were open . When I made the reservation it said nothing about store hours . I arrived at 6 am ,and the sign in front said open at 6 . Nobody was there . I called the phone number and they said that they open at 7 . You have lost my business . I'm sure u probably don't care .Reviewed Apr 29 2020

Pros:They were nice, the van was cleanCons:I had a TERRIBLE experience with the sunpass thing - they told me to get a sunpass, I did, then when I returned the car they said I didn't have to take it out of the car, it was okay if I left it in there. then I paid the tolls for their next renter for the next week, when I saw the error i canceled it, but when I asked for a refund they said their policy states that it's my fault if I don't remove the transponder. I'm disputing it with Sixt, but if not resolved, I will never use their services again.Reviewed Dec 31 2019

Pros:the registration process was modern and the counter person was pleasant & knowledgeable.Cons:I would like a deeper, easier locate understanding about upgrading. I was offered ( it was strongly suggested ) that I upgrade my vehicle at a modest increase which i agreed to... however the modest increase had a $31 a day cost... more than I expected but we were to far into the process to pull back. Cleanliness of the vehicle - It had a VERY Pronounced Odor! we raised the issue at check out with out much reaction. I hoped the odor would recede over time and we wanted to to get on the road so we accepted the car. Not a good decision on our part. That said when we returned the vehicle the attendant & supervisor were helpful & understanding and did credit our invoicedReviewed Jan 2 2018

Pros:The car was OkayCons:The car was dirty when handed to me and I wasn’t even pointed to the car they just said click the key you’ll see it; I had no idea how to take off the e brake so I was there for a good minute trying to figure it out and I was not told about the $200 deposit. My receipt said no money due at pickup so I was pissed to find out that even paying those extra $200 was a hassle because it all had to be on the same card and if I used someone else’s card they had to be main driver so I had to go through a huge hassle of moving money around and getting refunded the original payment to getting charged sixts prices plus sunpass and deposit all in one card. ANNOYING and even the store was dirty never going back there again.Reviewed Dec 17 2019

Good cars, but unexpected chargesPros:Convenient locations, good cars.Cons:When I had questions it was literally impossible to get someone on the phone, which was very stressful when I got a confusing email saying they did not offer transportation from Miami airport. I had to figure out that is because they were at the rental car terminal, but was unable to get in touch with a human when I was walking around the Miami airport looking for them. The big issue was additional charges. They did not tell me when they drew a $300+ deposit from my card, instead assuring me that everything was paid through Kayak. They refunded $200 after the car was returned but the end rental price was much more than expected The hidden fees should not reflect poorly on the Miami office (except that they should have explicitly disclosed the deposit that they drew, and probably the additional fees.)Reviewed Jan 10 2018

Took 2 hours to pick up smelly car.Pros:The guy who I spoke with when I returned the smelly carCons:Everything else! They did not have my car the I prepaid way to much for. They tried to barder to get me to take an upgrade. When they did get me a car it stank like cigarette, Then I had to wait an hour and a half, just to receive another smelly car. Called customer service, I was promised I would get a call the next day to go and exchange the smelly car, never received any such call. However the woman from customer service offered me $25.00 off my next rental. I said that would not be necessary, because I will never be renting from SITX again. Satisfying the customer is clearly not this companies goal. It was more of take it or leave it, we don't need your business attitude.Reviewed Oct 29 2017

Not honest Price, Customer ServicePros:The car war fineCons:Out of a 115 USD booking they tricked me into paying 290 USD. First the customer service lady told me they haven’t got the car I booked, at least not for this price. I was like:”well you go figure it out, I have a commitment on paper” Then she told me: come back in 45 min. That’s what I did and surprise: car was there. They went very quickly over the contract and then told me the total is roughly 380 USD including a 200 USD deposit. I thought “fine:65 USD surcharge, can live with that”. But afterwards I figured: that did not include the 115 USD that I’ve already paid. 175 USD surcharge: can’t live with that. I feel cheated.Reviewed Dec 22 2018
