free parking outside the hotel and less than 15 minute walk to the old town, staff very nice
stairs in room up to the terrace very steep
Unfortunately all the things I might have liked vanished in the atmosphere of the raw sewage that we could smell in our room. Beds were comfy.
Very poor breakfast, poor cleanliness and horrible smell of sewage system everywhere. Staff seemed to be not interested at all and were laughing if we made any comment.
Although the accommodations were simple, the room was clean and decorated nicely. The free breakfast of cappuccino, croissants, cannoli and assorted meats and cheese was delightful. The staff were helpful and friendly. Within 10-15 minutes walking distance to Ortigia. If you are looking for something glamorous, this is not for you. It is great for a 1 or 2 night stay, especially for the price!
The mattress and pillows were uncomfortable.
This hotel is ideally located for Ortigia, the beautiful old part of Siracusa. It is a reasonable walk from the old town but avoids all the hassle of navigating some very, very narrow streets filled with hordes of other tourists.
Although this hotel is happy to take payment at the time of checking-in for the three nights we had booked, it doesn't have a 24 hour manned reception, i.e. we couldn't check-in on arrival and there was no one there on our departure. Our room was light, lofty and airy with adequate A/C for early October, although it might be found wanting for high summer. The shower is tiny and the plumbing ideally needs updating. Breakfast was adequate, although with the smallest cereal bowls we had ever seen.
Great location for walking into the old town and restaurants. Breakfast was ok.
The bed was very uncomfortable and broke on the first night. They did repair it. The whole place seemed very run down and needed some attention.
