There was not actually a fitness center. Rooms and hallways were dirty
The price was good but after this I wish we'd spent more somewhere else.
AC was out in our room. The front desk clerk told us the best he could do was have it looked at the next day. We were staying for one night. Room decor was very outdated.
Floor was soaking wet in room
The staff was very nice!!!
The floor carpeting in the room by the A.C. unit was soaking wet. REALLY wet. A light bulb was out, the batteries kept falling out of the remote because there was no back cover, and a weird “hook” fell off the wall. I explained about the floor right away because I know how damaging water can be, but they just put down 2 towels which quickly became soaked as well. Explained this to the front desk again in the morning when I checked out so they could tend to it, and they said they’d try to refund me, but never did. Also, NO COFFEE in the morning. Ugh! I am not good without my coffee! Was a good bargain, but with wet feet in the place, it was pretty darned annoying. Probably won’t stay there again, and definitely won’t recommend. Too bad. Had been there about 10 years ago and it was a lot better.
Shower curtain was broke, plug-in covers missing, walls paint is chipped and dirty, bathroom floor dirty, toilet ran every 15 minutes. Drawers broken in room. Room was cheap, but room quality still wasn't worth it. The power went out while we were there too.
Bait and switch
Room was not the room we reserved. We reserved two queen beds and were given one queen and a hide-a-bed. Room was dirty and run-down. Customer service was horrible. When we complained they did nothing. Management would not answer my calls. One cup, one towel, one hand towel for three people and they had none at the front desk. We were, unfortunately at their mercy because of a lack of rooms in the entire town. Some huge sporting event was taking place. The front desk blamed Expedia for the issue. We didn't book through Expedia.
Glad that it was priced as low as it was. Staff had a great can do attitude. Very helpful when I booked wrong days.
Not well maintained or remodeled building. Paint job was shoddy and the desk help was understaffed (the gal who was there was VERY friendly, but it was only her second day and she was very inexperienced and over-whelmed). Hallway smelled like Marijuana in the morning. The "queen"-sized bed was closer to a full-sized bed.
Smelled of smoke, thin towels & only 2, furnishings seemed cheap
The location and access
It needs to be cleaned and updated. The place is in dire need of a make over. The sheets on the bed were torn, the elevator looked like a hole had been punched in it. It was rather uneasy. But, the bed was comfortable.
What we needed for the price
Affordable for a quick over-night while on the road. Room was clean and fridge and microwave was a real plus for the price. I would stay here again.
Employees hanging out around the back door until very late, smoking and grilling food. Over all tenants were pretty noisy. Felt concern for when parking our vehicle in the back—next time I would consider parking it by the front door. No problems happened, just lots of activity and 'hanging out' around the back door. I got the feeling some staying here were longer-term tenants
Modern and clean
Hotel was not that clean. It was obvious that they did not dust the furniture very frequently. Had trouble with my door opening. Hinges were out of whack. Took two of us to get it open. There was coffee in the room but no pot to make it in. On the second and final morning I went to take a shower and there was no shower head. Staff was friendly but did nothing to offer to make things right. Do not stay here
We liked there was a refrigerator and microwave in the room and the plumbing worked...basically.
The check in took nearly 10 minutes even though we were pre-registered and pre-payed. We could barely understand the man at the desk. When we arrived in the room, the temp IN THE ROOM was MAYBE 45 degrees! We turned the heat up, left our luggage and were planning to go somewhere to wait for the room to warm up when we noticed there was no coffee pot. At the front desk, we informed the clerk of the issues to which he replied, "I'll check on the coffee thing and if the room doesn't heat up, I might have a different room to move you to." 1/2 hour later, the room was tolerable upon our return...the coffee he informed us is made into a single small cup. We nearly had to beg to get more than 2 cups worth of coffee. The continental breakfast was stale bread to make toast, 2 types of cereal, and a few muffins. That was it. All for the DISCOUNTED PRICE of $85 with taxes and surcharges! REALLY? NEVER, EVER AGAIN!
