Overview

Up in the cool pines of Arizona's White Mountains, the Best Western Paint Pony Lodge, Show Low, Arizona, makes a welcoming base for the high country, with spacious rooms of rustic charm and modern comfort, a hot breakfast, free Wi-Fi, and a cozy lobby to settle into after a day outdoors. The setting suits a fishing trip, a scenic drive, or a winter ski run, with hiking trails, golf, and local shops close at hand. The mountain air and the pines keep the days fresh. Show Low stands on the edge of the Mogollon Rim in the White Mountains, a cool pine country named for a card game that settled a ranch, with the trout lakes of Fool Hollow and the Apache-Sitgreaves forest close by, skiing at Sunrise Park in winter, and mountain biking and balloon festivals in the warmer months. Up here the ponderosa pines and the high air feel a world away from the desert below.
