The host is attentive to my needs and has been very helpful in all my inquiries
Water supply usually runs out due to the number of guests that stays in the house. Please add some more bottled water.
The neighbourhood is fine, with everything in Gangnam within 20min walk, and good food nearby. The design of the place too: it looks really nice. It was trying to be practical with every bed having it's own socket, but the sockets were very dodgy (plugs had to be angled correctly to work...). Generally cleanliness was alright, if discounting the bathroom. The owner is friendly and responsive and will fix things you ask him. Juice, milk and water are provided free of charge. The place is in a quiet area, with no loud clubs or bars nearby. The storage lockers in the bedroom were much appreciated, and there was some space for bags on the floor too, which felt like a luxury in such a small apartment.
I guess you can tell a bit from the 'what I liked' section. Sockets were dodgy, though available. The bathroom was always in a bit of a state though not outright dirty, and of course this depends on fellow patrons. It could do with a good once-over against the impending mould though, and the lower walls (not just the floor) should be included in the daily clean. The toilet slippers are something I did not want to use even in desperation when the entire floor was soaked from the shower (so maybe buy/bring your own?): they were probably just old though, but they were yellow in places they should have been blue. The pillowcase I had the first night was seemingly dirty and had hairs from someone else on it: but it could have been switched out by another patron, and it was quickly swapped for a clean one. Breakfast is cornflakes and bread, but I have heard the jam is excellent. You have to pay for the laundry (3.000 won for a bag), but laundry is available. The apartment is in a quiet area but the place itself is badly insulated against sound within. You can hear everything within the apartment and much from the surrounding apartments too. With earplugs though it's fine. It is a bit awkward that the (male) owner will come in around 11 am and just sit/stay around, as this is a tiny (female only) apartment, and as mentioned everything can be heard. There is no warning either. So make sure you shower early and get out if it makes you feel awkward. I am sure he is simply waiting for everyone to leave so he can clean, but it does not diminish the awkwardness. Similar to when he is there in the evening waiting for people to arrive...
I had a lovely stay. All was great!
