The AC was not working in the room. Also there was not bin. Breakfast was acceptable.
Looks as an old hotel.
The staff is fantastic! They really know how to make you fill comfortable. From the front desk til the restaurant, passing thought the concierge and bar. I always travel to Santiago for business and stay with them. This however was my first time with the whole family. I was with a 9 months baby who only eats our own food. So we brought from Rio frozen food and stored with them in the concierge, and every morning we just called and they prepared the food for us. There are some things that deserve acknowledgment, and their care, attention and kindness were incomparable.
Not very clean, the parking very expensive, difficult to get there
Room and location was good.
I booked a prepaid stay. I had to leave 3 nights early. They could not reimburse me or give me some type of future reservation credit for those 3 days even though I am a spire elite member. Also, I was charged an extra $50USD per day because I made a booking through a travel agency. This is ridiculous. This information needs to be given to the customer prior to making a booking.
Wonderful breakfast and nice room so my complaints do not regard the room or the food.
Main message: In a 5-star hotel you expect the hotel to - without discussion - compensate a guest who has such serious complaints as I had! This is the story At arrival I was informed that renovation was taking place in the hotel building where I had booked the (very expensive) hotel room. I was then offered a room in another building IF I was willing to pay an extra 50 dollar/night! I declined as I was planning to be at the conference the day time during the conference but also because I did not want to spend even more money on this hotel room (very strange to ask me to pay for not being disturbed by noise due to renovation!) I happened to fall ill during the conference I was attending and had to spend one day in the hotel room. During the day time there was constant drilling and terrible noise the whole time. In the afternoon I dragged myself down to the reception and complained (with fever, headache and a terribly sore throat) and was told that I could change room in the evenening. As I could not move room (I could hardly stand up) I told them this was not possible for me. Also there were no noise in the evening. On checkout I asked for a reduction in the price as the noise had been unbearable. After several hours of conferring between reception staff and manager I got a reduction of one tea, a sandwich and an apple.... I was told that the hotel would get in contact with me for further discussions regarding my complaints and the reduction of hotel costs for one night. This was one month ago and I still have not heard anything from the hotel.
Conveniently located in the business district, this elegant hotel is the best choice for both business and pleasure. Nearby you can find the largest shopping center in Latin America, Costanera Center, US Embassy, WTC, Bicentennial Park and subway stations. The hotel’s rooms were newly renovated. In addition, it offers spacious meeting rooms that make it one of the most important convention centers in Santiago.
