proximity of the beach, friendliness upon on check in.
This is based on our experience on the 3rd and 4th of July. Clearly the resort lost control of its occupants on these two days. While we had hoped they would follow the guidelines for covid, the pool became over crowded. People were drinking in the pool , leaving their plates, cups, bottles everywhere. I saw masks just thrown on pool deck in the evening.. On the evening of the third, the pool trash can was overflowing , towels piled on the ground. Beach was crowded on the 4th and people coming in from the street. One security guard to manage two properties was an excuse given by the property. One pool guest called to report that a group of teenagers were bragging that they had peed in the pool. Security was suppose to have been sent but the teens left and said they were "going home" after security was called. There was a large group in the pool late both evenings and my heart went out to the staff who had to clean up after these people who were adults but acting like spring breakers. Bottles, food containers, broken pool toys were left for the staff to clean up. Having a good time is one thing, being disrespectful is another. After the pool and beach became so over crowded, we spent most of our afternoon on the 4th in our room. We have stayed here before and had such a great experience. Our hope that this above average (and certainly not cheap) facility would follow the guidelines published on the website regarding Pandemic protocol. Shout out to the bar staff and the beach restaurant for such a positive experience. The beach and pool staff were clearly doing what they could. I blame this on the corporate management not having the foresight to supply wrist bands to maintain a safe and controllable environment for its customers and its staff. No band, no pool, no beach.
It has all the amenities for the beach. It is a very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.
Carpet was worn and and little musty smelling when we first arrived. Nothing out of the ordinary if you have evere stayed at the beach.
Great vacation place
The grounds were beautiful, staff was excellent, great location.
Rooms were just run down, very clean, just heavily used. The A/C unit in the bed room was so loud! Nice place for a family vacation, not so much for a anniversary getaway.
room, for what was charged we should have a suite.
