Stayed 2 nights before boarding a cruise ship. Hotel and staff were very nice. Shuttle service (for fee) to port was short, sweet, and very convenient. Fairly easy walking distance to view the bay and visit USS Iowa. Would recommend for anyone departing from Port of LA.

Door to closet wouldn’t close and made it difficult to close bathroom door...which in the middle of night caused me to faceplant intro the open door in the dark. Complain they upgraded to mini - suite that was essentially the same design with couches facing closet...no TV or anything so they just ended up ...
