Waited 30 minutes to check in. No one was at reception. No one answered phone's anywhere in the hotel. Room door jamp grossly out of alignment - use you shoulder. HVAC missing remote. Clerk came when called (once) to adjust the temp then left with his remote! TV operation was a total mystery - markings on the remote were worn off a long time ago. Bathroom - little or no hot water. Pros (+) Quiet hotel, very cute rooms, clean, fun rooftop atmosphere with great city views a pool and lots of spots to lounge.
Cons (-) The elevator is so incredibly slow. You are given an actual key for the door, not a card and that is a pain to keep track of.

Pros (+) It’s a beautiful colonial style boutique hotel in the heart of old San Juan. The rooms are gorgeous - with tiles on the floor and high wooden beamed ceilings. Bed was large and really comfortable.
Cons (-) Water in the bathroom was lukewarm at most. Breakfast service was extremely slow and food quality was poor.

Pros (+) La Terraza is a beautifully restored hotel with tile flooring, alcoves, and a beautiful rooftop terrace. Cons (-) There is virtually no street parking available which I believe is just a symptom of that part of the city. However, there is a parking garage around the corner but it's a flat rate of $20/24-hrs so be prepared.
