Pros: Fantastic eco resort with multiple level$ of lodging. Tours can be pricey but, the level of care and attention to detail validates the cost. The on site activities are a wonderful added value. We also found the staff to be some of the best parts of our experience at Chaa Creek. Would definitely go back.

Pros: The site is absolutely beautiful and manicured. The rooms are really clean and tastefully decorated. The dining area is gorgeous and the food is tasty. The guides are really knowledgeable and friendly. I would really recommend the visit to Barton Creek and Xunantunich.

Cons: We eat a whole foods, plant based, vegan diet. Chaa Creek was extremely accommodating to our requests. Our one suggestion would be to educate the kitchen on the depth of what “whole foods, plant based” means. They would find a very receptive crowd and it would tie in nicely to their eco friendly message.

Pros: The grounds and the facilities are great and neatly kept. We were impressed by the restaurant's dinner menu selections and its quality. It was actually delicious. The night we arrived there was a wine tasting event which turned out to be fun a a good deal. Sunday morning yoga class was also a hit. It is conveniently 5 mins drive of downtown San Ignacio and the ferry loading area to Xunátunich.

Pros: Luxury resort in nice secluded spot, just a short distance from San Ignacio. Lovely helpful staff who went out of their way to make sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. Room was clean, spacious, secure and had a safe and good air-con. Plenty of areas to relax, sunbathe or chill out. Pool area was nice - a bit busy at peak times, but just as nice in the evening as during the day. Amazing local wildlife and vegetation within the resort! Iguanas sunbathe beside you at the pool, exotic birds sing all day long and avocados, limes and coconuts are constantly littered around the bases of the many trees in the resort. Food at the restaurant was EXCEPTIONAL. Prices seemed fair for the calibre of resort, and everything tasted really good. Plenty of vegetarian choices too. The included breakfast options with our room were brilliant and room service was available at your beck and call. Complimentary water bottles were replenished each morning in our room too.

Cons: Starting with the basics. The hotel claims breakfast is included. The ‘included breakfast’ is some beans and bread with butter. Super super basic. They claim they have yoga classes twice a week on their website - it is not the case. The staff actually woke me up one night (I was already sleeping) to ask if I was staying 1 or 2 nights (check the reservation dude). Finally the staff is uninterested in supporting, the pool is small and kinda cold and all the tours are 50% more the price than if you call directly to the agencies... its 1 star review basically

Pros: Amazing staff could not have asked for better service throughout our stay. Arrived to smiling faces eager to help. Constant communication before and during the stay to make sure we were well taken care of. Plus a perfect location for the ruins, ATM Caves, Zoo, and enjoying a nice city and wonderful jungle mountainous area. Make sure to have a belizian Snow from, in my opinion, the best bartender in Belize Oscar. He will make sure you have a great time. Wonderful place and wonderful experience on our honeymoon! Thank you Cahel Pech! Last note; we did not get her name but our first night having a drink we had one of the nicest nights having supper and sparkling wine with an amazingly nice bartender, she truly made us feel special, following our wedding.

Pros: The staff was so accommodating and welcoming. I was traveling alone and had some trips that I booked in advanced cancel on me, but the staff at Cahal Pech was able to book me on daily tours without any issues. Also, there is a Mayan site located right behind the hotel and its a $5.00 taxi ride into town. I'd def stay here again!

Cons: The cabana's is made of leaves, which is pretty, but sheds dusts down all the time and lets bugs and lizards sneak in. Good news is they're changing the roofs on some cabanas when I was there. The restaurant's food is not the best. Stay away from the pizza.The location is far from town, which is $5 taxi away. There is no hairdryer in the room.

Cons: DON'T BOOK TOURS THROUGH THEM! Highly overpriced, horrible communication. Horrible staff communication. The tour reservation manager and staff who were supposed to book tours for us and never did. Overpriced for the area. Bugs in our room. Cockroaches and ants. The cleaning staff sprayed a white powder all over my items on the nightstand. I will write a further in depth review on tripadvisor. DISAPPOINTED!!!

Cons: It was off season and they like all others take advantage of that time for improvements around the property. It didnt bother me but I can understand how some might be. Just keep that in mind when booking during the off season anywhere.
