Pros (+) The room was clean, bed was comfortable, bathrooms pretty well maintained, pleasant staff. Basic breakfast but I guess that is standard for hostels, at least it was something. Not too far from public transportation. HI San Diego took care of my needs while I was checking out the city for a couple days.
Cons (-) More counter space in the bathrooms would be nice. Several of my toiletries fell in the sink/on the floor because there is not much room for a girl to spread out her things. Also their power source is weak or something. I had to sit around and wait forever for my phone to charge at the end of each day and I tried several outlets in the building. It would have been nice to have an outlet by my bed ...
