This is a dream like location in the middle of the Engadin. The traditional style gives a warm and very romantic feeling. Our room was very spacious, rustic romantic style, very modern and very clean bathroom. Amazing view over the village as we were on top of the building. It's right in the centre of Samedan and from there you are in walking distance to almost everything. The inhouse restaurant is beautifully kept in a warm and rustic style. The food is delicious. The hosts are such sweet people that it gives you a family like welcome. I can't wait going there again! A magic place within the wonderful mountains of Engadin.
The room was a good size. The staff was nice and tried to find a room where there was less of the smell of smoke, but it didn't really help--the smell was overwhelming in the hallways and stairwells.
The whole hotel reeked of cigarette smoke! As someone who is allergic to cigarette smoke, it was important for me to know this ahead of time--and I didn't! Apparently, smoking is allowed in the bar on the first floor, and the smell permeates the entire hotel! The person who checked us in tried to tell me that a worker must have walked through with a cigarette, but that doesn't leave the kind of overwhelming odor that we experienced, not only in the evening, but the next morning, when no one had been in the hallway for hours. Even though it was a freezing night, we opened the windows so we could have fresh air! I couldn't even eat the breakfast that had been laid out for us because I couldn't stand the smell! I cancelled our second night as soon as we arrived, because I knew I had to get out of there as soon as possible!
Friendly personal and a good breakfast
Entrance and restaurant for smokers and as well smell of cigars in the room. Bath towels older then the building and no adequate shower soap.
We booked a double room for 2 adults and one boys but in the room was present just two single beds. They was searching 70 chf more for a triple room.
Good location, nice clean room, good breakfast
Parking a little hard, got charged twice for one night, probably by mistake
