Pros. Clean
Cons. Heater worked ok
Pros. The location was not bad.
Cons. The room was not very clean, especially the bathroom. The beds where not comfortable at all and the pillows were rock hard which give you a headache. It was not well kept not clean. The lady at the front desk wasn’t friendly nor helpful at all. She offered to print me a bill and when I said yes, she said well you should have one in your email. If you don’t want to print one, don’t offer. It’s expensive for what they offer.
Pros. Many pillows
Cons. Dirty toilet, cramped bathroom, old furniture, hard bed, one tiny towel per person, black stain on sheets
Pros. Bed super comfy. Staff nice. Well located to everything you can need for a day off from driving cross country. Starbucks, Kroger, CVS and a Goodwill all walking distance.
Cons. Flat screen TV had STATIC(?!) on much of the stations. I chose a handicapped room so i would be on the first floor. The bathroom smelled like an old folks home. The shower barely worked. Think water fountain - one tiny stream of water.
Pros. Not much.
Cons. The room was dirty, service was rude, not a lot of people there, and on the periphery of town. This was the cheapest hotel I could find on the Salem-Roanoke area of VA and it definitely was the most basic, nasty places in the area.
Pros. Very quiet room even thought he hotel is located in a busy location. Room smelled fresh and comforters were fluffy with plenty of pillows. Staff was very friendly and courteous and accommodating. Within walking distance of Kroger's grocery, McDonalds and Hardee's and other businesses. Had mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker in room. Breakfast was included and had cheese omelets, sausage, oatmeal, cereal, bagels, toast, waffles, yogurt and apples. Good value.
Cons. Long wait for hot water. It did come, but you have to turn on shower and wait several minutes.
Pros. What a dump. There was no heat, sheets were not clean and towels smelled badly.
Pros. I liked the big room and the updated bedding. There were plenty of lights as well.
Cons. Breakfast was pretty subpar and the heat worked on and off but overall it was a nice place to stay.
