Location, weather, recommended restaurant, general help
Self serve breakfast would be much quicker Self serve bar in the living room would be excellent for a beer or wine A few doorknobs etc could be repaired. Italian style or separate shower instead of shower / bath - much safer for us old guests.
Attention to detail in the building overall and especially the room was exceptional. Very eclectic/French decor which suits the building and the location - which was fantastic. View from our room was amazing - over trees and on to the sea. Owners are very friendly and approachable.
Shower head was broken - not a huge issue. Breakfast was lovely but a bit too much emphasis on bread!
We loved the whole atmosphere - casual chic, superb breakfasts, an air of quiet calm and the most amazing view over the harbour... sleeping with the windows open and being woken by the sun was a great way to start the day - and wonderful knowledgeable recommendations about restaurants.
Honestly, there was nothing that was a problem.....
Room was very well appointed and the view was wonderful. Quiet end of the harbour but only minutes from all restaurants, bars and shops
Surprised that they were no toiletries in bathroom. Apart from that was perfect
About as French as French can be, which we loved, but don’t expect any mod cons or English speaking staff, which forced me to practice my French (still awful!). The hotel is perfectly located and has retained all of its history. We stayed in bedroom Le Phare - I expect there are better rooms but all in all a lovely view, very peaceful and sweet little touches. Breakfast plentiful - freshly squeezed orange juice, delightful platter of fruits and freshly baked pastries and breads each day
Carrying our bags up four flights of narrow stairs isn’t for the faint hearted and we weren’t offered any help. We are young and fairly fit so not a problem but for the older guest I fear this may be a struggle
