10,0 Excellent
Pros: It was so near town
Cons: Nothing
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly helpful staff, fabulous view.
Cons: Suites badly designed, no sockets near mirrors, no drawers, bathrooms need updating. Slightly out of town with much around.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Well located hotel, walking distance into the City and good free car parking. Definitely worth paying the extra for a harbour view room - the other rooms have a pretty gloomy outlook.
Cons: Breakfast is over priced.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful sea views located within easy walking of central Helier downtown. Quiet ie away from traffic noise. Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast buffet. Good size rooms.
Cons: Dining room staff are friendly but their method of how they take food orders and eventually deliver the food is strange and inefficient. Too many people are involved ie different staff show up as the meal progresses to again ask you what you want as your next course ( eg. two different waiters asked us what we wanted as the main course when we had already made the selection with our initial order) and a different person was involved in the delivery. We had to ask for our bill 3 times from 3 different people before finally deciding to go to the til to pay. I asked whether it was normal to ask to have the bill brought to the table and was told the choice was ours. The food was good.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The setting and location is just right. Easy access to the beach, walk to the castle, less than 10 min walk to town and bus services and cherry on the cake is food complex a stone throw away with a cinema, kfc, tgi and pizza. The hotel lobby and outside seating deck are top quality. I loved everything here and would stay again and again and again...
Cons: I cannot fault the hotel at all.....10 out of 10 in my book!
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Location, staff. Breakfast.
Cons: Nothing

9,2 Excellent
Pros: The location, the staff, who were very polite. The breakfast had a good selection. The concierge, Luis, was very helpful and nothing was to much trouble.
Cons: Nothing wrong with hotel, unfortunately due to the Coronavirus we had to cut short our break so couldn’t get to try the spa treatments or the steam room. Will definitely come back when the travel bans are lifted.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were mostly excellent. Nico and Michelle on reception, Luis and Hugh concierge, Pawel in the restaurant and John at breakfast were all fantastic. Breakfast was good, room comfortable, great restaurants and lounge with papers. Wifi good and free tea and coffee. A real sanctuary.
Cons: Largely i liked everything. I didn't like the spa trying to charge £1 slippers on a 45 min, £75 treatment .
5,0 Okay
Pros: The location is perfect for St Helier shops, travel etc and the view from the sea-view room fantastic. the staff in the champagne lounge saved the stay for me they were very attentive and friendly.
Cons: Disappointed in the general tiredness of the hotel, some parts had been recently upgraded e.g. bathroom/restrooms but the rest of it felt like it needed a good clean. for example the brass surrounds of the lift doors were smeared with finger prints. simple touches!
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Central position for town and beautiful sea views. Outstanding breakfast and service.
Cons: 3rd floor rooms are in the eaves so the men kept banging their heads! Spa was uncomfortably hot during our visit
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Exceptional pool and bountiful breakfast. Also very friendly and accommodating staff.
Cons: Nothing to add.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Porridge was exceptional and the morning service staff brightened your day. Evening dinner was the best tasting steak I have eaten in a long time and the staff again were very friendly and approachable. The cocktail lounge had the most amazingly friendly staff - special mention must go to Mario - and the service at all levels was exceptional.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful staff very friendly aground very satisfied would stay again

Cons: Na
9,0 Excellent
Cons: Too much chlorine in the pool! My husbands eyes were very angry, red and sore he was in agony and has to leave the pool to rinse and wash his eyes, as a first aide this was very worrying! it also tarnished all my solid silver jewellery!!!!!
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Nice pool area and proper hot sauna. Loads of cute little snugs and very friendly staff! Loved our stay.
9,2 Excellent
Cons: Too much chemical in the pool smarting my eyes but otherwise very comfortable. Yummy breakfast
8,2 Excellent
Pros: Clean room and comfortable beds Good and varied breakfast and quick service Having just returned home I discovered that I had left a valuable ring in my room, after inquiring about it, I have received a call to say it has been found and will be sent on. I am delighted!
Cons: Small rooms Lots of little stairs, a bit of a warren
6,0 Good
Pros: Nice room, comfortable enough
Cons: Room was as far away from reception as it could have been, TV channels were very basic, in the moring if you didn't want to pay £10 for breakfast there was no other option (even a coffee would have been enough). Cafes in town were cheaper and better for breakfast
4,0 Okay
Pros: close to the ferry
Cons: old glory, this hotel. badly motivated staff, bad breakfast, small room, not clean.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The room was good clean and comfortable and the waitress in the restaurant was so very friendly
Cons: I asked for room service but could not get it for breakfast as got told they did not do it, I just thought it was a bit odd
7,3 Good
Pros: All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and airy with comfy beds and the breakfast was excellent with a good choice. The swimming pool and jacuzzi were a real treat and great to relax in- we had them completely to ourselves! The hotel is just across the road from the beach and is about a mile from the centre of St Helier.
Cons: On the evening we stayed in, the hotel bar lacked atmosphere with football on the television and the bar food was very basic (the fresh beer battered fish had obviously been frozen), however we did visit out of season and the restaurant was closed.
7,0 Good
Pros: Hotel was good for bed and breakfast, rooms clean and a good bar.
Cons: Only problem was the lack of packing space,
6,3 Good
Pros: Friendlyness and very helpful staff, nothing was too much trouble to make our stay comfortable
Cons: Had to ask for the items mentioned in welcome pack as were not ready in accomadtion, eg , hair dryer, phone . Also towels were very worn out eg large holes in one or two and frayed
4,7 Okay
Pros: it was very good value for money at £29.00 B&B for a double room, however at that price it is a gamble, breakfast was fine, but not a gormet exprience, poached eggs cooked well and the hot breakfast was cooked to "order" - not under arc lights
Cons: The shower was tempremental, either a faulty regulator or distantance from the boiler, hot water always came, eventually... First time took 5 mins, In asking for another room then I learnt half the hotel has been refurbished and half hasnt, we rejected the other two rooms offered (stained filthy carpets as opposed to wood laminate flooring) and perservered with the shower
6,0 Good
Pros: Large comfortable bed, clean bedroom and public areas, fried breakfast was well cooked and presented.
Cons: Staff not proffessionally dressed some building leaks were clearly evident when rained. Cold buffete choice limited, Bathroom and some internal ares dated.

Pros: Great restaurants (there are 3 in total in the hotel). Awesome breakfast! The spa is very nice, but booking is recommended. The staff was very kind and very helpful. The hotel is 5 minutes from the ferry terminal or the shopping center of St Helier: perfect!
Cons: No parking lot, but there is a car park on Pier Road which is about 5 minutes walk from the hotel. The shower was a bit unusual to operate (we nearly flooded the bathroom on our first try). Room temperature is a bit high (23~24°C)

Cons: breakfast was served cold, coffee was cold, but was replaced with apology.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Lovely old reception area, takes you back in time to how grand the hotel must have been.
Cons: On arrival from the road the hotel cannot be seen it is hidden up a steep hill behind a medical centre and car park. The rooms have no atmosphere and are basic a comfortable armchair would have been nice as the small chairs were uncomfortable. House coats were provided but no slippers, we thought they had forgotten to put them in our room but were told they were only given to certain room purchases, not a 4*

Pros: The breakfast was terrific in quality and quantity. Also the restaurant served great meals at a reasonable price in the evenings. The staff in the restaurant was superb.
Cons: Due to an unusual floor plan, most guests will have to use stairs to get between their rooms and the elevator on each floor. This did not bother us, but it may be a challenge for those with mobility issues.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly helpful staff Comfortable bed Very clean
Cons: N/A
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Got moved to an upgraded room as heating not working in original allocated room. It had a 4 poster bed! Sadly, the mattress was on the soft side for us and my partner ended up with a sore back. Possibly unrelated but who knows. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, especially at reception and at breakfast. Location couldn't be better - short walk to the seafront and to the bus stop for airport bus. Quiet side street but only a few minutes walk to central area. Good restaurants just a few doors away. We used 2 nearby Italian restaurants, and would have loved to have tried the Indian as the smells were amazing, but it was too busy. Breakfast in the Revere was excellent too, with a wide choice both hot and cold. Loved the croissants and pain au chocolat. Scrambled egg was amazing too, would love to know how to get mine like that. We enjoyed the coal/log fires in the public areas.
Cons: The soft mattress in room 56. The heating not working in previous room (top floor, forgotten the number). The weather!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the oldy worldly charm of the place very cosy with blazing coal fires the staff were super friendly and couldn’t do enough for you The Candlelight Restaurant & Bar has a lovely atmosphere it’s safe to say I liked everything about this hotel it was spotlessly clean and the staff were amazing

Pros: Lovely, helpful staff, good location, interesting bar and lobby interior.
Cons: Rooms are not as quirky as in pictures, very old bathrooms. Surely it was cleaned but just looked too scrubby and not fresh.

6,0 Good
Pros: Room was generally good. Not huge but decent enough.
Cons: Staff were largely uninterested and unresponsive
7,0 Good
Pros: Room very clean
Cons: Spa Sauna did not work big gap under door so steam left room. Experience shower was just shower heads different angles on wall?
2,0 Mediocre
Pros: Staff were welcoming and tried their best. Both rooms had no heating so alternative oil heaters were brought to the 311 /310 rooms. Room 310 was noisy with the generator above on the roof. Again alternative room found post midnight. Customer service . The manager took 25% off the room with no heating and gave breakfasts foc for both rooms. The second room with no heating and the loud generator was not charged for.
Cons: Cold rooms at the outset. As both rooms which were opposite each other were cold with no heating functioning I would suggest there was something wrong with the heating system for the third floor. Loud, low noise from the generator. Again this could not have been a one off. I should have been told. Even with ear plugs the noise made it very difficult to sleep.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The shower was very powerful. The rooms had lots of nice extras in case you forgot anything. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: The sinks are very low - we thought this might be for accessibility, but the tables in the bar were also very low. The decor was fine, but perhaps not as nice as we expected for such a highly rated five star hotel. The bed was not comfortable, we didn't sleep well.

7,5 Good
Pros: This is a hotel that really ought to be a four star. The downstairs area has a number of quality leather settees and phtotos - a certain retrospective look that, with a bit of work, could have been great. But no. The rooms perhaps where the problems Grubby. I didn't like this hotel.
Cons: I usually went out of an evening. I couldn't even tell you if they sold food.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: the breakfast was very good with a great choice and buffet style so no need to go hungry, the location was a 20 min walk to Liberation Square but only 3 mins walk to the bus stop for less able to walk.
Cons: The decorations are a little shaby carpets well worn in places and threadbare, the groundfloor room I was in the windows on the outside were really in need of cleaning.
3,3 Mediocre
Pros: The breakfast
Cons: It was very old, needed all done up looked like old folks home,, and although they were cleaning it was still very dirty and run down.

Cons: Although the rooms were tired, they were clean and there was hot and cold water on demand.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Good location. Staff very helpful.
Cons: This property isn't just tired, it's on life support. It needs a HUGE amount of money spending on it. There's nothing that doesn't need updating or replacing. However, the meals are plentiful and you won't starve. And it is clean.

9,2 Excellent
Pros: We had a lovely stay here, from beginning to end.
Cons: I would book direct next time as booking.com took my money instantly on booking and I hadn’t chosen that option, this was a rip off as the pay now was cheaper than pay on arrival yet they took my money instantly on booking. Would boom direct next time with hotel

Cons: Room and some carpets dated and worn. Some hallway lighting was intermittent.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The decoration and ambience in the bar was really cosy and Christmasy, the room was on the smaller side (especially the bathroom) but very clean, well equipped and the bed was comfy. There was hardly any noise from outside our room so nothing to disturb us. All the staff we came into contact with were lovely.
Cons: Not all of the stair risers are the same size which tends to create a feeling of falling - very disconcerting.

5,0 Okay
Pros: It was OK
Cons: The room was very clean but boring! Beige everything and rather depressing but nice and clean with a good seaview. There was only one person on duty when I arrived so he was rushing around doing everything - front desk, bar the lot - not very good for a 3 star hotel! Bartender was not very friendly and neither was one receptionist - could, not be bothered to look up and say good morning when I passed the desk! Also l ack of parking is not good

Overview Reviews
With a stay at Marina Metro Hotel in St. Helier, you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Jersey Museum & Art Gallery and Elizabeth Castle. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge during limited hours.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely location with beautiful sea view from my room. Very peaceful. Very comfortable bed with great sheets. Towles were very clean. Slightly out of the centre of St Helier, but probably quieter as a result. The restaurant was open for lunch and dinner, but might not be all week in winter. It was possible to book taxis through the hotel.
Cons: Some fresh fruit at breakfast would have been good. Possibly limited parking in that area, but didn't need it on this trip.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: It was near to St Helier and opposite the beach. Good value for money. Clean and basic but nice enough.
Cons: For the price I can't complain too much. The shower over the bath was poor and hard to control. Very old fittings unfortunately. However the price of the wine and an ordinary bottle of water were very expensive. £4 for a bottle of water! No one offered to ring for a taxi to get me to the Airport. I was on my own at that point. However the rest was pleasant.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Comfy bed, location, helpfulness of staff. Easy access to high street, the Square and bus station
Cons: Hot water in bathroom very low pressure
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing all was perfect
7,1 Good
Pros: The hotel has a nice bar/restaurant area and having eaten, I sat outside, no real distance from the sea. My room face the sea and later that night the sound of the sea became louder as the tide came in, but this was quite pleasant. Sea air and all...
Cons: Nothing worth complaining about...oh, a little difficult to find on foot.
7,9 Good
Pros: Comfortable well-equipped room
Cons: Staff could have been friendlier
7,0 Good
Pros: check-in was easy, beautiful sea-view rooms, very close to beach, staff generally quite friendly. Room was cleaned daily and bed was comfortable. Excellent restaurant on-site and nice options nearby.
Cons: No parking close to property making getting there tricky, provided one party in our group with free breakfast and not the other, location was out of St Helier itself although 20 min walk away up some steep hills. For the price I was expecting a more luxurious hotel, the reception, restaurant and corridors are all quite dated.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Great room as we stayed with our children and they loved it
Cons: Hotel would benefit greatly with some parking
6,4 Good
Pros: very frendly staff/sea view/good breakfasts.
Cons: the bedroom,tv and bathroom could do with a bit of refurbishment.
