Commencing scheduled flights in 1957, Royal Air Maroc is the official flag carrier of Morocco and is wholly owned by the government. It has RAM Express functioning as a subsidiary, which focuses on domestic services within Morocco as well as services to Spain and Portugal.

Departures are controlled out of its base in Casablanca, with flights extending throughout Africa, Europe, North America, Asia and South America. Flying to more than 45 countries across the globe, it is a major link between Africa and the rest of the world.
