Excellent location, beautiful uniquely decorated rooms that were sizable for Rome standards, breakfast brought in rooms, lovely staff
Breakfast is only available from 8.30, so I had to skip it because of early morning appointment, although it was paid upfront; capsules for nespresso in the rooms are only included for day 1 of your stay, replacement capsules for subsequent days are additional cost, which seems like a petty touch for such a lovely accommodation
Nothing to complain. Checking in without staff is hassle free. Although it is self-check-in, we made it into the room within minutes, faster than to deal with receptionist. Room is very clean, spas tub was good too.
Just the location
Arrived late at night, checked in without staff and there was no hot water in the shower. Complained in the morning to the staff, and we were told that sometimes the boiler switches off and we have to switch it on if that happens. Come back for the 2nd night, try to turn on the boiler - doesn't work. 2nd night without hot water. Complain in the morning and for the 3rd night we were given the keys from another room to use shower. I assume the problem was not new, as I've seen marking on the boiler, showing how to turn on hot water. It is just a poor management decision as that boiler could have been fixed/replaced long time ago. Poor management and upkeep continues throughout the place: bad smell from the bathroom drains, door and window handles falling off, broken shower doors, and I will not event start about the TV having 2 remotes, and an Amazon Firestick which worked/didn't depending on the weather I assume. One last minor thing I guess, compared to the above, was the lack of soundproofing in the room. I can understand that the outside noise might not be avoided due to the old timber-frame windows being a heritage in the old town of Rome, but the soundproofing from the corridor to the room can be easily dealt with.
Charming boutique hotel in a great location! The decor was unique and homey and the staff was welcoming and accommodating. The ambiance is exactly what one would expect to find in Italy, warm, intimate, and inviting. Just a short walk from all the sights in Rome, so we didn’t have to take a taxi the entire time we were there. Breakfast served in the room every morning was a treat, and it was delicious!
We noticed a few minor things that could have been better... the air conditioning never seemed to completely cool down the room, and sometimes the hot water was not as hot as we would like. However, it is Rome! You must be flexible!
Great location. Small room but comfortable. Would recommend
