-It’s relatively close to the centre with relatively good bus service. -Clean, with a friendly cleaning lady called Janell who was very helpful.
-The bed mattress was very uncomfortable, it felt like sleeping on a deflated air mattress (as soon as you sat or laid down it sank you in). -There was no WiFi connection (had to ask for it to be repaired). -There was no iron, had to ask for it. -There was a kettle to boil water, but no cups to drink from (only glasses that would crack with boiling water being poured into them). -They charged an extra 5€ to store our bags for several hours after checking out, when other accommodations (around the world) don’t. (first they wanted 5€ per person, then we managed to negotiate it down to 5€ per room) -There was building work goin on in the next building; drilling, bangin, etc... starting 8am every day, not what you need on your vacation, it was rather stressful to put up with it, and we were never informed of it beforehand.
It was convenient and close to everything, there was a bus that took you to the Piazza De Venezia! The rooms are great, spacious with your own small bathroom. The host was absolutely great - and informative! He gave us great directions to the centre of the city - bus routes, etc. Would highly recommend staying here!
When we booked a room the price was 30eur including VAT. And we choose to pai in cash. The day before arriving the price of 57eur was taken from the credirect card. For local taxes 3.5e per person ,10eur for sheets! 5eur for towells! And 5e for cleaning. Also he demand that we have to be at exact time at the spot and he arived after 20 minuts after we alarm whole building . Because he didn't answer the interfon , then door and left masage on italian on the fix phone. When we enter the room the all shelfs was dusty , the bathroom was used and not flash afterwards.
Private, comfortable, stay with convenience stores, restaurants, bus lines. Thank you.
It's was our first visit of Rome with wife and I want to say that choosing this hotel was a huge success! The main advantage is location - you could reach on your both from Thermini to this place for 10-15 min; you could reach to all highlight places on your both, enjoing beautiful old city; or you could use bus or metro - stations are near. Also near the hotel are numerous pizzeries, restaurants, cofee-places (one wit the best capuccino is on the corner of the via messina/via nomentana), two mini-supermarkets and real classical market. The hotel is tranfomed from huge old apartment (1 bedroom with own bathroom, 3 bedrooms with common bathroom at the coridor and one living room) with some of antiquar furniture - it added some charm to our stay! All was clean and staff was on high level! At the final day as a bonus for us (after some small payment) were possibility to left our baggage after check-out, and go for a walk around the city without it.
You should to make a call by phone when you'll reach the adress - there are no any signboard. We did 3 or 4 calls before we heard some voice on another side - for that small time we had time to think that we were deceived ))).
