The rooms had been remodeled 2 years before and they still had open electrical parts and plumbing!
Stayed in what you called a Queen single bed room and looked spacious. Kahler called it an Economy Queen and it was cramped, impossible to regulate water in shower: went from very cold to very hot at same settings, while toilet was impossible to flush easily. I saved $1 per night for the 2 nights by going with you rather than the hotel! It definitely was not worth it! Lousy experience! I won’t use Kayak or Kahler again!!!!!
Our room curtains were not able to be closed, it just has a shade. I’d prefer the option to close curtains for more light obstruction. The beds are too soft, room was clean.
Pros. The location next to the Mayo clinic.
Cons. Cleaner, updated rooms. Parking is an expensive hassle.
Pros. Historic Hotel, good location.
Cons. Construction Remodeling underway, with no warning from staff on check-in, or notice on the hotel website. Lots of issues with the room, with towel bar falling off, glass in sink drain, ceiling tiles chipped/dirty, and more. Thermostat was not sensitive enough to regulate temp appropriately, it was very warm all weekend despite it being ~40 degrees outside.
Pros. Great location & be very nice.
Cons. Had to hold shower jead as wouldn’t stay attach & heater/AC in room wasn’t working. Luckily weather was cool enough so not too hot or cold
Pros. Location to Mayo Clinic
Cons. There was just a light bulb screwed into socket in ceiling...no cover or fixture. Knob missing off desk...dust ruffle on bed clearly for king sized when bed was a queen...
Pros. Location excellent, did not have to go outside in the cold to get to the civic center. King sized bed was very comfortable. I had economy king room which was very reasonably priced compared to other hotels in the area. And the room was adequate size.
Cons. Bathroom was very small. It was hard to adjust the water temperature in the shower, it kept getting hotter or colder. Parking too expensive.
Pros. Close to doctors appointment
Cons. Close to doctors appointment
Pros. It had a very nice pool, workout room very nice, clean hotel, staff was excellent, shower head was really low and asked if they had something taller and the accommodated me immediately. For some bookings they offer 5 dollars off a day if you don't do room service. Very nice.
Cons. There was restaurant staff that was very rude sometimes even ignoring you while waiting for a table. (Most were nice). Old outdated hotel. Economy room has no microwave. You pay to be super close to Mayo gonda building not for amenities.
