A guy would hold open the doors for us, which was nice.
Hotel looks like an 70s former love hotel used for a horror movie like The Shining. The hallway and room are very unpleasant, eerie and dimly lit places that made us feel depressed. Elevator was wobbly and scary. Everything once white was as yellow as heavy smoker's teeth. Mattress was made of mostly plastic (love hotel proof?), so we sweat a lot during the night. Breakfast was super basic and also had the creepy atmosphere with dissonant classical music faintly playing with reverb.

Basic (small!) room but clean and breakfest provided.
Beds were tiny (we're 1.85 and 1.87) so our feet were hanging over the edge all the time. Shower water ran out of shower a bit which was frustrating. Walk to metro during carnival wasn't the nicest walk!

Nothing really...
The staff didnt speak a word of English or any other language apart from Portuguese...the smell in the bathroom was horrendous and the general cleanliness is disaster as well as the facilities. Location is both central and convenient but also very close to favelas making it quite dangerous and dirty too. The stuff is very cold and impolite...definitely not looking to help and assist their guests... will not recommend it...

Room is enough big for two people. It was clean. They could keep our luggage after checking out until our flight.
Wifi signal was weak. And air conditioner was broken. Actually all furniture was old (like a grandpa home). Electric plugs were not reliable.
