This hotel was the best hotel in all of the Baltics. Very nice, delicious restaurants and excellent view from rooftop bar. Softest beds and air conditioning that you actually control yourself. Very close to Art Nouveau center of Riga.
Quiet room, really good breakfast. No complaints. And would definitely stay there again. The housekeeping staff starts pretty early (by 0800 or 0830) so if you're planning on sleeping in, make sure you've put out your "do not disturb" sign. Wifi worked well and was fast enough for me to stream movies. 10-15 minute walk from Old Town. Have already recommended The Albert to several friends who are headed soon to Latvia on adoption trips.
