Very kind and supportive staff and perfect location, a short walk from pedonal centre full off restaurants and other amenities
Location and comfort
Restaurant and bar were closed
Availability was my main reason for choosing this hotel.
BATHROOM The bathroom had used toiletries on the windowsill, the shower head was damaged from limescale so the water flow was poor and it sprayed everywhere and there was dam issues with the walls. BEDROOM Sheets too small for bed which made for an uncomfortable night. Very noisy machinery from somewhere above the room which finally stopped around 11pm. RECEPTION STAFF AND PARKING No hotel car parking available and friendly but unhelpful reception staff with regards to parking.
Good selection of breads, cheeses and cold meats. Omelette or scrambled egg messy and not tasty. DIY coffee a disaster if one encounters a coach-load having their breakfast and everyone is trying to get their coffee from a machine that is not easy to understand or operate. One member of hotel staff on hand not to assist but more concerned with a checking off who was in or not. The 15 Euros per person breakfast was not good value.
Coffee at breakfast. No tea or coffee making facility in the room. No mini-fridge. No English channels on the TV (despite vast numbers of UK visitors to Rheims. No parking. No arrangement with ''Erlon'' parking regarding safe and secure parking.
Over-priced. Getting a coffee (from a machine!) is hopeless if a coach-load of guests are in the breakfast room. Otherwise the selection of breads, cold meats and cheeses were good. Omelette/scambled egg (not sure which) was not good. We did not have the breakfast on our return journey.
We had to request extra pillows (no problem when we stopped there a few days earlier, 6th Sept)) as we went out into the town for dinner. On our return, no extra pillows put into our room. They had forgotten. TV: no English channels. I am in no doubt that many Brits stay in Rheims for a break or onward travel. The hotel is more impressive from outside than within. No parking at the hotel. Other hotels in Rheims have a special arrangement with the nearby secure underground ''Erlon'' parking. I do not like being asked for my credit/debit card for ''extras'' and for ID. Surely, being a booking.com customer should suffice. No tea or coffee making facilities. No mini-fridge.
