Pros: This Holiday Inn Express was EXTREMELY nice. We just had a quick stay, but it was very impressive. The facilities from the modern decor, to the handwritten notes welcoming us, to the awesome shampoo/conditioner/body wash in big dispensers in the shower - everything was amazing. They even have a robot that can deliver things to you! The location is close to everything, but not visually attractive. Overall, great stay.

Pros: The location right off Hwy 101 is very convenient. It's also very close to Bair Island Wildlife Refuge which has nice walking paths. The bird-watching there is awesome! The hotel is relatively quiet despite its location along the hwy. The room was very clean and had a nice little patio.
Cons: When coming from Redwood City, the left turn onto Veterans Blvd from Whipple Ave. is nearly impossible during high traffic periods.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Extremely kind staff, very big rooms and cleaned. No breakfast included but they offer coffee and have promotions if you have breakfast at ihop, just next door
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Pool and IHOP connected to the property
8,8 Excellent
Pros: We were staying overnight for a hospital visit in the morning. The staff was excellent and gave us a first floor pool view, because they realized one of us had walking issues. We were also told of future room discounts for hospitals visits. We were very comfortable!
Cons: Everything about the property suited our needs. There was coffee in the room and a popular restaurant next door that we used for breakfast. Yes...we shall come back again!
6,3 Good
Pros: Pool and room were OK, it could have been an OK stay if not the wifi and unfriendly and unhelpful staff.
Cons: I'm sorry, but when you travel for work, wifi is an essential thing - especially when the hotel says they have it and that it was one of the reasons I chose this hotel. They use such an insecure net, that none of my devices agreed to connect to it. It's actually like not having wifi at all. And when I complained, they just sent me to call "support" and refused to help or call on my behalf. They also said that "you can't connect with Chrome" (?!) and that many costumers "have this problem and they call support". when I asked them "if many customers need to call support why don't you take care of it", they said "maybe." I didn't like the staff's attitude and their lack of will to even try and help with this issue. Note that there is no elevator so you'll have to carry your own stuff on the stairs, even if it's heavy.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Very clean. Refrigerator worked.
Cons: My bed was pretty rough. Disabled person, king size beds were all up stairs , no elevator . Ice machine down at pool. Tub super slippery.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: it is easy to find the location by using google map. People working at front desk was very friendly.
Cons: No breakfast meals plan.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: pleasant stay and very helpful staff. no drama or problems. good value
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The location is great for Redwood City. The rooms are big and beds are comfy/ the hotel is clean and has everything you need.
Cons: The towels were too small, you could barely fit them around you. The tv signal wasn’t great either, struggled to watch anything more than 5 mins
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Got to check in early into a quite so I could take a nap. Room was dark with curtains closed. Staff were eager to please.
Cons: As a corporate policy they don't seem to have jacuzzi which I like to use at end of the day. Also a nice way to have a casual conversation with other guests.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Located close to my business destination, VERY roomy, great value
Cons: Had difficulty using the separate access key, had to be replaced. Same problem on return next evening.
9,6 Excellent

5,3 Okay
Pros: Close to highway 101.
Cons: No free internet. Breakfast is only coffee juice and muffins.
4,0 Okay
Cons: Musty
7,7 Good
Pros: It would be easier to say what I didn't like instead of what I liked about this hotel!!! I loved everything about this hotel. It was so nice!! I loved the hotel, and the lady at the front desk was so nice! It was just so perfect.
Cons: The only thing that I didn't like about the hotel is that a person was yelling at his wife down stairs.
7,4 Good
Pros: I liked the friendliness of the receptionist even though it was very late. The rooms are clean but might need a little updating. Regardless, a bang for the buck!!
5,6 Okay

3,2 Mediocre
Pros:
Cons: Landscaped nicely, but inside hotel, not so nice- needs a good cleaning
4,8 Okay
Pros: Affordability. Quiet. Convenient. + The room stayed dark with the curtain closed in the morning
Cons: Vending machine ate my dollar :( And I had to pay $10 deposit for a hairdryer - Usually rooms have them so I thought it was odd, but no big deal, I got my $10 back at the end of the stay.
6,4 Good
Pros: The rooms were very clean and service was good.
Cons: Service staff were a little intrusive and spoke little to no english
7,6 Good

Pros: NA
Cons: 1. Carpet “coving” coming off the wall..no baseboard. 2. Mold in shower/bath area. 3. Very low and shallow toilet bowl (my you know what) touches the bowl). Not good. 4. Very low flow water at the sink, spray only (I know it’s California but well below minimums) 5. Lighting could be better and fresh paint would go a long way. Facility needs a little TLC.

Pros: Beautiful location in front of the lake very quiet
Cons: Staff very helpful and friendly
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The fire place on the patio
4,2 Okay
Cons: Could not sleep the bed was making me and my partner itchy. He felt some things jumping on him, we did not see what it was but he e thought it might be bed bugs.We tossed and turned until we finally complained to front desk at about 230 am and they moved us to a different room where we did not have that same issue. Management contacted us and just said that they were going to test and check the rooms and contact me with the results. I highly doubt that they will. I expected more from a 4 star hotel.
7,5 Good
Pros: Good location. Spacious rooms.
Cons: Parking is not smooth. After a staff member told me I wouldn't have to pay for my night's parking, the next morning another staff member disputed that and said she's have to corroborate what I told her, which I felt insulted by. Then she gave me a ticket to exit the car park and it didn't work, causing me to have to return to the desk to correct it. She showed no regret for that.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is very well kept, clean and overall staff is very nice and welcoming.
Cons: Raving engines of guests were allowed during midnight and 1am. Hard to sleep with all the noise. During check out only one person was there to assist on a line of 9 to 12 people. For a 4 star I wasn't expecting this.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The Scroll Bar restaurant has excellent food , staff and ambiance.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Bed was good.
Cons: More pillows on the bed.
5,0 Okay
Pros: The breakfast has not been met the value I paid.

7,5 Good
Pros: Safety
Cons: Check in takes forever. The king bed squeaks when I turn over in the night A can of Pepsi cost more than $4... really?
9,6 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed the excellent service in the restaurant as well as the quality of the food. We enjoyed the peace and quiet not available at other local hotels. The ease of self parking and in /out options.
Cons: The amount of people with dogs. Not all people like to be around dogs. While there were no incidents it can be startling to come around a corner to see a large dog in the opposite direction.

Pros: The location was perfect! I don't eat breakfast so I can't say anything about it - but what I loved was this: the cleanliness sparkled, the room was comfortable, the bed was great and I slept well. I will definitely come back.
Cons: All was well.

Cons: It was a little noisy.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location and convenience (mall across the street. Whole Foods across the street. Easy access to Stanford Medical Center. Very clean and quiet. Peaceful atmosphere.
Cons: Nothing
7,1 Good
Cons: That the pool wasn’t fixed
9,4 Excellent
Pros: The location is extremely convenient - right next to a Safeway, Whole Foods, several good restaurants and bars, a Caltrain station, and of course it's right on El Camino Real, within a quick drive of the 101. It's about 25 minutes from SFO. As noted by other reviewers, the room did not have any unpleasant smell and even has a filtered water faucet in the bathroom. Its low price and great location make it perfect for the business traveler.
Cons: To be sure, it's not a sexy luxury hotel in any way, but it's not trying to be. It's cheap and clean; that's it. I found the wi-fi shaky, and at times it would cut out and be unavailable for a while. But, if you don't intend to work out of your hotel room for part of the time (like I did), you may not notice.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Staff was quick to help with TV problems!
Cons: Continental breakfast was a little meager. Curtains in addition to the window shutters would have helped with outside lights at night.
7,9 Good
Cons: I think hotel prices for the area are too expensive for the location. I believe sites like yours keep owners dependent on the services provided and reflects in the pricing. One could argue it keeps price gouging from happening but I do not believe that is the case. Convenience disguised as nominal pricing keeps rates static instead of dynamic. For example my daily rate could have been more reasonable for the time spent as occupancy reflected opportune time for a frugal fee.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The mangers / front desk staff made everything right when we had a room that did not fit our needs. Friendly, gracious, "customer comes first" attitude of service.
Cons: N/A
6,3 Good
Pros: Reasonable price for the area, clean.
6,7 Good
Pros: Internet was working fine, good location and close to train and bus stations
Cons: breakfast is not really good
2,0 Mediocre
Pros: Picture & name
Cons: There's no value at all, maybe $40 worth. I'll never ever stay again.
7,3 Good
Pros: The staff was very accomodating and warm. The rooms were very clean. The location was very safe and walking distance to shopping, nice downtown and good coffee shops. The breakfast was simple- fruit, coffee, juice, choice of 3 cold cereals, danish and toast. Nothing fancy, but serviceable. This hotel is a great value.
Cons: The hotel served all our needs perfectly.
6,3 Good
Pros: The Inn, although an older building, was clean and well maintained. We switched rooms to be at the rear away from the busy street.
Cons: Noise from the El Camino and the fact that we couldn't get a queen size bed room on the second floor.
6,3 Good
Pros: Staff is great.
Cons: Breakfast could be earler and more healthy.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Clean and close to my business appointmant. It was located near a shopping center for food
Cons:
6,8 Good

8,8 Excellent
Pros: crowded breakfast area

9,6 Excellent
Pros: Location and cost
Cons: Breakfast need to be improved
6,3 Good
Pros: Room size
Cons: No pool or hot tub
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Nice rooms, clean, great staff. Nice toiletries and hot cocoa/tea along with coffee for the Keurig. Next door to Jack in the Box and across from a gas station and Hispanic Grocery Store with taqueria.
Cons: Parking lot is tight to get in and out of. They are doing some type of remodel and have two huge dumpsters in the already small parking area making it difficult to maneuver. Rooms are not soundproof and lots of ambulances throughout the night... might be a route to a medical facility. Suggest to bring earplugs.
6,7 Good
Pros: Large, clean room. Friendly staff. Good breakfast.
Cons: Really a motel - not much different than many motels in the surrounding area. Small reception area, no facilities to speak of. The location is right off El Camino Real, but not very close to any nice shopping/restaurants.
4,0 Okay
Cons: There could have been more Towels, there was no closet to hang up the clothes. The chemicals they used were to Strong, should use Vinegar & Baking Soda.
7,5 Good
Pros: Nice amenities. Very clean and roomy.
Cons: Unable to stay longer. Couldn’t use all the amenities.
7,5 Good
Pros: The room was a generous size, newly decorated and the bed was very comfortable. Handicapped accessible bathroom would be useful for people who need it. Complimentary breakfast was good, good selection.
Cons: The room was dark because it faced a courtyard wall. There were no grounds, garden or outside sitting space.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: The room was not serviced on July 5th. On July 6th when we left we told the front desk to ensure, it gets serviced. It was not again serviced. We had to remove our trash and clean our room. They provided the supplies.

Pros: The location was convenient. We survived. There are no other redeeming factors! The air conditioner was duct-taped together.
Cons: The place didn’t look anything like the photos online. If we had been able to find another place we would not have stayed. They charged $250 for a $50 dive! Lesson learned we won’t trust the photos or the reviews (had to have been fake).
7,1 Good
Pros: Jacuzzi tub, fridge and microwave in room was nuce
Cons: I needed to cancel the second night but reception said because I booked through a travel agent, I couldn’t get any credit. Said to book directly next time. Not going to be a next time. Other hotels nearby.
5,8 Okay
Pros: The room felt old and dingy. I was traveling with a medically fragile child and it wasn't made easy to accommodate her needs.
Cons: Difficult to park close to our room. I let them know we had to be up early for a medical procedure and wouldn't be able to check out until she was discharged. I requested a late discharge, but they called me to ask when I would have my belongings out of the room while I was in post-op with her. Ultimately, I made it just in time to meet their 1:00 check out deadline. When we got back to the hotel we were locked out of our room, so I had to make an extra trip to the office with a kid recovering from anesthesia to get a new key so we could pack up and get out.
7,9 Good
Pros: Nice room with everything you need for a nights stay. Continental breakfast was better than most hotels.
4,6 Okay
Cons: Well it was only one night, our last night before flying home to the UK. But I paid a little more for what I thought would be a better hotel, I paid for breakfast but in the morning walked in to be told "we only have cereal and toast", all the cooked food sections were empty - where I presume would normally be bacon, eggs, etc. Not sure why they take booking for breakfast if they can't deliver. Most rooms are said to have a Jacuzzi (spa?), but not ours, just a shower. It's a motel.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, great staff, beautiful surroundings, best value for your money..
Cons: I loved the property
9,1 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable bed, nice spacious bathroom, great breakfast and beautiful rose bushes.
Cons: Weird random multiple, unexplained screaming in the middle of the night and early morning....kind of creepy. Either we had thin walls and loud active neighbors or ghosts...we chose the former.
7,5 Good
Pros: The room was totally updated and sparkling clean and very large and modern. The hardwood floor felt more sanitary than rugs. Beautiful roses blooming on the property.
Cons: Smoking in front of the front office and smoking in front of the rooms even though they're many no smoking signs. The exterior of the property is very dilapidated looking but the inside is modern. Although there is a hot breakfast there fake eggs, the only thing I could eat that was healthy was plain oatmeal. Terrible coffee
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and welcoming.

Pros: There wasn't Breakfast. Small Coffee and Tea

Pros: Clean rooms and good value for the cost in the area.
Cons: No toilet in the room. I did not know the room had a shared bathroom until I booked.
5,0 Okay
Pros: It was a decently priced room in an area that is pretty expensive.
Cons: The room wasn't in the best shape, I was unaware that restroom facilities were shared. i was unaware that AC was front desk controlled. I was unaware that the rooms were so small and cramped. There was no real parking lot for the hotel and I had to pay for parking the first day.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: great coffee from Starbucks in a machine -- it is accessible 24/7 the location in downtown Redwood Ciy is perfect you don't even need a car
Cons: Air conditioning could have worked better in my room
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Great value for the location. Comfortable bed, good small refrigerator, microwave and sink with water in the room. Very nice tv with channels aplenty. Friendly staff. Good climate control with ac and overhead fan. And, just around the corner from great Redwood City social area and restaurants.
Cons: This is a low cost economical hostel like hotel in great downtown area of Redwood City. They do their utmost to keep it clean. But some of the hallway carpeting is quite stained. Rooms are dormitory room sized, and I shared a hallway bathroom and shower. Parking is on street, but it worked for me.

Pros: The location
Cons: Car parking is the city's pay parking lot. No toilet and shower in the room.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: The location great service
7,5 Good
Pros: The front desk staff were nice and friendly and did their best to accommodate us. The location of the Sequoia Inn was perfect for our purposes. Parking lot in the back accommodated our large truck well so we were happy about that. Water pressure in the shower was really good. Beds were comfy, TV worked fine.
Cons: Price per night is expensive considering that the hotel is a BUDGET hotel. VERY NOISY. The person in the room above us kept us awake for hours on the first night of our stay with his loud stomping (seemed deliberate) until he passed out around 4am. The train tracks are right across the street from the hotel so the loud horns are constant until around midnight, then quiet until 6am-ish when it starts up all over again. Our room was next to a main road so that was loud too. We were not well rested at all. Toilet slow flushing. Cigarette burns in the bathroom. Faint odor of cigarette smoke from days gone by when people were allowed to smoke in the room. The hotel has definitely seen better days.

5,1 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: The property was being remodel. There was no office and you had to check in standing in the street talking to the staff thru a window. The 2 towels were like paper and we had to keep asking for more towels. Light in bathroom out when we arrived.1/2 roll toilet paper in bathroom no second roll. On day 4 of our 5 day stay staff banged on our door and insisted we vacate our room because we only paid for 4 days. Had to produce booking conformation to prove we paid and booked a 5 day stay. Staff never admitted their error.

Pros: Just that it was clean.
Cons: Yes, no bedspread, no lamps, no phone, no ice,1 set of towels for 2 people.not worth the money.no table.it was bad.

Pros: Available parking
Cons: First off, do not expect any type of customer service. Solely want your money and not worried about anything else. The man in the office did not know how to retrieve my booking that I booked via booking.com, and was trying to have me pay a complete different amount than I was shown through the app. The shower did not work and there were bugs in the bathtub so I was not going to sit in there to bathe. There were also stains on the bed sheets.

5,8 Okay
Pros: the location is nice. A lot of moths were flying in the room. Appliances looked outdated. Cable was great! A/C worked good too. The room overall looked like it would fall apart soon. No lamps were in the room so it was either really bright or no light at all.

Cons: Could not park in the parkinglot (too much cars).
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were friendly and helpful the place was clean who is easy to get to and I appreciate it staying there thank you
7,9 Good
Pros: The price that we paid for the hotel room. Most hotels in the area are beyond the rate the state will pay.
Cons: I had to visit the main office three times to get a request completed. A danish and coffee does not constitute a breakfast.

Pros: Nothing really

4,2 Okay
Pros: Not much to like
Cons: The bed was awful, too soft. No parking space (big trucks taking 1,5 space do not leave space for others). Very noisy, starting at 5;45am... Workers do not care about other guests, they are very loud and run their trucks for 10mn before leaving. Do not go in this hotel if you want to sleep.

Pros: The area.
Cons: This place is a Dump. $150 per day? There are bumps all over under the carpet and every step I took to use the bathroom at night the floor squeaks and the exhaust fan sounds like a train passing through, and I could hear every conversation next door. Ugly and expensive!
6,0 Good
Pros: It's inexpensive for the area. The INSIDE of our room was fine. Obviously they're trying to remodel the place, one room at a time. Ours was done. It was spacious and clean.
Cons: The OUTSIDE of the place is horrendous and under slow construction. The office and the grounds are gross, the people hanging around are a little bit seedy.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: It was great to see the updating of the motel .The room was comfortable and very clean .
Cons: Just a comment , I felt the shower was very slippery after soap got in it .I really felt I could fall. a shower mat on the tub floor would probably help .
1,0 Poor
Pros: Customer service, when calling to confirm reservation!
Cons: Nothing, customer service! When I called the property to confirm reservation they said that that they would rather take walk-ins instead of honoring reservations through booking.com they stated that they didn’t have any rooms available after receiving my reservation email confirmation!
6,7 Good
Pros: Didn't have time for breakfast do to my baby had to have a medical procedure done at Stanford Children's hospital at 8 a.m and needed to be fasting.
Cons: The fridge inside our room wasn't working and the hair blow dryer as well. The man who was staying there at the motel was being too loud with his truck. He kept accelerating his truck when it really wasn't necessary. I checked in after midnight and he kept going to his truck 3-4 times doing this until 3AM. I believe he is staying there because it looks like he is doing the remodeling of the motel. The motel is under construction. I saw some of the remodeling materials outside under the carport.
5,8 Okay
Pros: It is a 10-minute drive from Stanford's 420 Broadway clinic during morning commute. When the check-in clerk learned that the room we had been assigned was not suitable, she quickly offered another room that was adequate.
Cons: When we arrived, we found we had been assigned a 2nd-story room, but the property has no elevator. My mother is disabled and could not use the stairs. The check-in clerk immediately offered a first-floor room, but the carpet was worn to the floor in spots, the bedspread was mended with electrical tape, and the room smelled badly of old cigarette smoke. No coffee maker. No assistance handholds in the bathroom. Two washcloths & bath towels but only one hand towel. However, it was servicible; the TV, microwave, and plumbing/sewer all worked, so we made do for the single night we needed before an early morning clinic procedure.
5,8 Okay
Cons: Fan was so loud in bathroom . There was not option to reduce fan speed

Cons: There was hair in the bed. Short ones and long ones... The refrigerator is super loud. Carpet is sticky everywhere. It's grouse.
